Abstract

The invention relates to a device for detecting the output voltage of a battery, especially of a motor vehicle battery, comprising a microcomputer having a first input which is connected to the positive terminal of the battery either directly or via a meter amplifier. The device further comprises a transient detector the first input of which is connected to the positive terminal of the battery and the output of which is connected to a second input of the microcomputer. The transient detector can detect short-term battery power fades, especially short, periodically recurring battery power fades.
