Abstract
The invention relates to a communication apparatus (2) for a surgical system (1), with a user interface (3) and a plurality of driver units (4, 5) for the control of surgical instruments (4a, 5a) that are connectable to the driver units, with a first communication device (6) which is designed for data exchange between the user interface (3) and the driver units (4, 5), and with a second communication device (7) which is separate from the first communication device (6) and which is designed for direct data exchange between the driver units (4, 5). The invention also relates in particular to an ophthalmic microsurgical system (1) for lens surgery.
