Abstract

The invention relates to a method for the production of a one-layered or multilayered nonwoven fabric, a machine for the production of such a nonwoven fabric, and a correspondingly produced nonwoven fabric. The task of improving such a method and a production apparatus underlies the invention to the effect that projecting loops and fibrils no longer stick out, and thus individual filaments can be prevented from pulling out during the use of the nonwoven fabric. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the nonwoven fabric (14) is smoothed after water needling by the use of a calender (10). The machine according to the invention is characterized by the fact that the machine has a spun bonded fabric (1), at least one subsequent needling device (7.1), a dryer (9) connected thereto, and thereafter at least one calender (10).

Description

The invention relates to a method for producing a monolayer or multi-layer nonwoven fabric according to the preamble of claim 1 and to a machine installation for producing such a nonwoven fabric and to a corresponding nonwoven fabric.
There is already known a nonwoven fabric having a multiplicity of yarn-like fiber groups (EP 0 626 902 B1), these groups being connected at connection points by fibers which hear a multiplicity of these groups in order to limit a predetermined pattern of holes in the nonwoven fabric wherein the web has a clarity index of at least 0.5 and a calculated fiber bundle density of at least 0.14 grams per cubic centimeter. 0 The invention has for its object to improve a method and a manufacturing plant according to the respective preamble. Preferably, it should be achieved that projecting loops or fibrils no longer protrude from the nonwoven fabric and thus prevent withdrawal of individual filaments during use of the nonwoven fabric 5 can.
The object is achieved according to the invention in that the fleece is smoothed after the water needling with the help of a calender. The nonwoven fabric is preferably a spunbonded nonwoven which is hydrodynamically needled, subsequently dried and then smoothed by means of a calender. This ensures that the protruding loops or fibrils, which are very disturbing in the use of, for example, single or multilayer nonwoven fabric, are welded by the calender in a simple manner and at the same time so smoothed that the pilling effect or the foot or linting is avoided.
For this purpose, it is advantageous for the machine installation to have a spunbonded installation, by means of which the filaments are deposited on an endless belt configured as a screen belt, and at least one downstream needling device, a dryer connected thereto, and then at least one calender.
An additional possibility, according to an embodiment of the invention, that the machinery a spunbonded system, a downstream pressurized with low water pressure Vorvernadelungseinrichtung and an adjoining second needling, which is associated with at least one structure drum with a suction box, and an adjoining dryer and then at least has a calender.
Furthermore, it is advantageous that the machine installation has a spunbonded installation with the downstream pre-needling device that can be charged with low water pressure and the second needling device having at least one structure drum, an adjoining dryer and then at least one calender.
It is also advantageous for this purpose that the machine installation has a spunbonded installation, via which the filaments are deposited on the structure drum, as well as the needling device directly associated with the structure drum, the dryer adjacent thereto and then at least the calender. According to a preferred embodiment of the solution according to the invention, it is finally provided that the machine installation has the spunbonded web with downstream pre-needling device which can be subjected to low water pressure and the second needle-forming device having at least one structure drum and a calender adjoining thereto.
Of particular importance for the present invention is that the structural drum is associated with at least one conveyor drum such that the endless belt is guided in an S-shaped or in the form of two semicircles over the structure drum and the conveyor drum. With the different machine systems can be produced in an inexpensive way an optimal non-fluffing fleece that can be used for extreme use.
In connection with the design and arrangement according to the invention, it is advantageous that the endless belt can be designed as a conveyor and / or structural belt.
The invention relates to single-layer or multi-layer nonwovens which are additionally and advantageously perforated by one of the water needling processes. Nonwovens having a basis weight of 7 to 300 g / m 2 are preferably processed. The processing speed is at least 100 m / min. The fiber thickness - filament thickness - is preferably between 0.4 and 10 dtex.
Further advantages and details of the invention are explained in the patent claims and in the description and illustrated in the figures.

In the drawing, a spunbonding system 1 is shown, with the aid of which endless filaments 4 are deposited on an endless belt 3 guided over four rollers 2 and transported further, at least one of the four rollers 2 being designed as a drive roller.
The endless belt 3 is illustrated in more detail in FIG. It consists of a screen belt with webs or wires 5 extending at right angles to one another and spaced apart, between which small approximately rectangular openings 6 are formed, so that water 8 emerging from a needling device 7.1 can pass through these openings 6. Due to the sieve belt 3, the water has to travel longer distances and the individual filaments are thereby moved according to FIG. borrowed and formed in a non-woven 14, depending on the design of the openings 6, corresponding openings 6.1 in the endless belt.
After the needling process, the nonwoven 14 passes through a dryer 9, which may be formed as an infrared through-air dryer. Thereafter, the fleece 14 is smoothed by means of a calender 10, so that still protruding filaments or loops or fibrils are pressed into the web 14.
These protruding loops or fibrils are firmly welded by the following calender 10 and simultaneously pressed against the surface of the fleece 14 as well.
The working process described above and the treatment of the fleece 14 is carried out in a similar manner with the systems according to FIGS. 2 to 4.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2, the fleece 14 is fed by the endless belt 3 of the water needling device 7.1 with a suction box 7.3, so that at this point a rough pre-hardening of the fleece 14 takes place at low pressure. As a result, the nonwoven fabric 14 is solidified in such a way that it can then be passed in an S shape or in the form of two semicircles via two drums 11 and 12, the second drum 12 being associated with a further needling device 7.2 with a suction box 7.3. According to FIG. 4, the fleece is received by the lower drum by means of a suction pressure and thus lifted by the drum 11 from the sieve belt and then taken up by the drum 11 and thereby forwarded in an S-shaped manner to the drum 12, which is associated with the suction box 7.3 and thus also the fleece 14 presses against the drum 12.
Die in der Trommel 12 vorgesehenen perforationsbildenden Öffnungen sorgen mit Hilfe der Wasserver- nadelungseinrichtung 7.1 , 7.2 für die in Fig. 6 dargestellten Öffnungen 6.1 im Vlies 14.The first drum 11 is a transport drum, while the second drum 12 is a structure drum which corresponds to the endless belt 3 according to FIG. 1 and is provided with numerous openings 6 according to the screen or endless belt 3 shown in FIG. The endless belt is not formed in Fig. 2 as a perforating but only as a conveyor belt. The fleece 14 is deposited on the conveyor belt 3, passed to the drum 11 and then held with the help of a negative pressure. The perforation-forming openings provided in the drum 12 provide for the apertures 6.1 in the fleece 14 shown in FIG. 6 with the aid of the water needling device 7.1, 7.2.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 3, the endless belt installation according to FIG. 1 is replaced by a structure drum 13 with the needling device 7.1 and the suction box 7.3.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 4, the dryer 9 is not provided between the two deflection drums 11, 12 and the downstream calenders 10.
