Description

[DESCRIPTION]
[Invention Title] Electronic commerce method for selective purchase of goods
[Technical Field]
<i> The Present invention relates to a method for the purchase of goods by an electronic commerce based on the Internet.
[Background Art]
<2> A conventional transaction of goods through an electronic commerce system is that a purchaser, who wants to purchase goods through the Internet, visits a Internet shopping mall, selects goods in accordance with information provided by a seller and makes a payment for the goods. The goods are delivered to the purchaser by delivery services.
<3> In a conventional electronic commerce, a purchaser only can get information about goods from pictures and descriptions inputted by a seller, thereby making the biggest defect that the purchaser has to purchase goods without any contact with goods directly.
[Disclosure]
[Technical Problem]
<4> The present invention is conceived to solve the aforementioned problems. Accordingly, an object of the present invention is to provide an electronic commerce method that allows a purchaser to select further desirable goods among a goods package, which is configured at least two or more goods by the purchaser, after checking and using the goods.
[Technical Solution] <5> According to an aspect of the present invention for achieving the object, there shall be composed of a network for interconnecting a seller's computer to a purchaser's computer and an electronic commerce server provided with an information database for storing information on goods to be sold, together with payment means for goods. <6> According to an aspect of the present invention for achieving the object, there is provided a method of configuring a goods package containing at least two or more goods and payment methods for the goods package. The goods package can be composed of goods with the same model at different sizes and colors, or can be composed of goods with different models at the same function. A payment amount for the goods package can be fixed with any one of a price of the most expensive goods among the goods contained in the goods package, a price amount calculated by adding the prices of all the goods contained in the goods package and a price added by a certain amount in the price of the most expensive goods among the goods contained in the goods package.
<7> According to a further aspect of the present invention for achieving the object, there is provided a method that the electronic commerce server further includes a database for managing credit grades of purchasers and the electronic commerce server requests a larger payment amount from a purchaser of a lower credit grade than from a purchaser of a higher credit grade.
<8> According to an aspect of the present invention for achieving the object, there are provided multifarious payment methods: a provisional credit card settlement method, in which a payment amount is preliminarily set as an expenditure within the limits of a credit card of the purchaser by a credit card approval number and final settlement is accomplished by sending the approval number and final payment amount to a credit card company after confirmation of a purchaser to purchase the goods, such as Korean patent application Nos. 10-2000-0011386 having the title of 'Credit card service system and method for electronic business' and 10-2000-0013378 having the title of 'Method for operating of electronic commerce site having a feasibility of return goods by provisional settlement', a cash payment method along with a escrow payment method, in which the payment amount for goods is deposited in a certified deposit account and the payment amount is paid to a seller after confirmation of a purchaser to purchase the goods, such as Korean patent application Nos. 10-1999-0066752 having the title of 'Method for protect seller and buyer in telecommunication transaction using computer network system' and a future payment method, in which a purchaser makes a payment for the goods after confirmation of a purchaser to purchase the goods.
<9> According to a further aspect of the present invention for achieving the object, there is provided a method of settling a payment amount automatically, although there is no confirmation of a purchaser. Accordingly, if the purchaser does not connect to a Internet shopping mall for confirmation and the seller does confirmation procedure instead of the purchaser by checking unselected goods from the purchaser, the electronic commerce server automatically settles the difference, which is calculated from a difference between the price of goods determined to be purchased and the amount paid for a goods package, after a predetermined period of time including a time required to collect the unselected goods, to protect the right of purchasers and sellers. However, for an effective collection of bill by sellers, a certain incentive, such as granting higher credit grade and allowing cyber money or points to purchasers, can be granted to purchasers, when purchasers connect to a electronic commerce server to input confirmation of purchase.
:io> According to a further aspect of the present invention for achieving the object, there is provided a method of limiting quantities of goods that are contained in a goods package and a method of appling a shipping cost differently according to quantities of goods contained in the goods package.

[Description of Drawings] <i7> Figure 1 is a flow chart illustrating application of cash payment method according to the present invention. <i8> Figure 2 is a flow chart illustrating application of a method of a provisional credit card settlement according to the present invention. <19> Figure 3 is a flow chart illustrating application of a future payment method according to the present invention. <20> Figure 4 is an example view of webpage illustrating identifiers of goods that can be purchased in the selective goods purchase method. <2i> Figure 5 is an example view of webpage illustrating shopping cart of goods package containing different size shoes at the same price. <22> Figure 6 is an example view of webpage illustrating shopping cart of goods package containing different baseball gloves at different prices and models.
[Best Mode] <23> Hereinafter, the present invention will be in detail described with reference to the accompanying drawings. <24> Figure 1 is illustrating an example of the best mode for carrying out the present invention. <25> The purchaser connects to the Internet shopping mall provided by the seller and the electronic commerce server at step Sl and the purchaser configures a goods package containing at least two or more goods at step S2. The purchaser inputs intention of purchasing goods in a selective goods purchase method, in which the purchaser receives the goods package, selects a further desirable goods among the goods contained in the goods package and returns unselected goods, at step S3.
<26> The electronic commerce server checks whether types, quantities, and the like of the goods contained in the goods package are valid for purchase in a selective goods purchase method at step S4. If the selected goods are nonrelated each other or are in excess of maximum quantity set by the seller, the electronic commerce server outputs on the screen of the purchaser's computer that the purchaser has made an error in goods selection and shows the method of desirable goods selection to the purchaser.
<27> The electronic commerce server outputs a payment amount and a payment method for the goods package, a shipping cost and a payment method of the shipping cost, a method of settling the difference that can occur between the payment amount for the goods package and a price of the goods determined to be purchased finally, and the like on a screen of the purchaser's computer, and thereafter the purchaser inputs shipping information, such as a shipping address, delivery time, and the like, and information required for settling the difference and makes a payment for the goods package at step S5. A settling method of refunding the difference can be to deposit the difference to the purchaser account or to offer shopping mall points to the purchaser and to make a new settlement again as a changed price amount after canceling the credit card settlement. On the contrary, a settling method of additional payment for the difference can be to make a payment as the same method as the purchaser has done for the goods package or to make a payment in another payment methods that are available in the electronic commerce system. Accordingly, the purchaser has to input his account number for refund process or agree that canceling of credit card settlement and making a new settlement again as a changed price amount after confirmation of the purchaser to purchase goods is allowed. <28> The electronic commerce server reports to the seller that there is a purchase request from the purchaser and asks the seller to print out shipping and returning invoices for the goods and ship the goods package to the purchaser by transmitting the shipping information inputted and goods information selected by the purchaser at step S6, and thereafter the seller ship the goods package to the purchaser at step S7.
<29> The purchaser selects further desirable goods among the goods package that the purchaser configured at step S8 and returns the unselected goods using the returning invoice, which is delivered from the seller with the goods package, at step Dl. The purchaser can return the unselected goods through a deliverer while the deliverer is visiting the purchaser to deliver the goods package or request the deliverer to visit the purchaser again for returning the unselected goods. The purchaser connects to the electronic commerce server and inputs goods determined to be purchased among the goods package delivered from the seller at step S9. Meanwhile, if the purchaser does not execute a confirmation procedure, the seller can check the goods unselected and returned by the purchaser at step D2 and connect to the electronic commerce server to input the goods determined to be purchased by the purchaser at step D3.
<30> The electronic commerce server compares the price of the goods determined to be purchased by the purchaser with the amount paid for the goods package by the purchaser at step SlO-I and S10-2. The electronic commerce server terminates the electronic commerce if the price of the goods determined to be purchased by the purchaser is the same as the amount paid for the goods package by the purchaser. If the price of the goods determined to be purchased by the purchaser is higher than the amount paid by the purchaser, the electronic commerce server requests an additional payment from the purchaser, and thereafter the purchaser makes a additional payment for the difference and the electronic commerce terminated at step SlO-1-1. But, if the price of the goods determined to be purchased by the purchaser is lower than the amount paid by the purchaser in the step S5, and thereafter the electronic commerce server refunds the purchaser the difference and the electronic commerce terminated at step S10-2-1.
<3i> Figure 2 is illustrating another example of the best mode for carrying out the present invention by a provisional credit card settlement method.
<32> The purchaser connect to the Internet shopping mall provided by the seller and the electronic commerce server at step Ul and the purchaser configures a goods package containing at least two or more goods at step U2. The purchaser inputs intention of purchasing goods in a selective goods purchase method at step U3.
<33> The electronic commerce server checks whether the goods contained in the goods package are valid for purchase in the selective goods purchase method at step U4.
<34> The purchaser makes a provisional credit card settlement for the goods package at step U5.
<35> The electronic commerce server reports to the seller that there is a purchase request from the purchaser and asks the seller to print out shipping and returning invoices for the goods and ship the goods package to the purchaser by transmitting the shipping information inputted and goods information selected by the purchaser at step U6, and thereafter the seller ships the goods package to the purchaser at step U7.
<36> The purchaser selects further desirable goods among the goods package that the purchaser configured at step U8 and returns unselected goods using the returning invoice at step Fl. The purchaser connects to the electronic commerce server and inputs goods determined to be purchased among the goods package delivered from the seller at step U9 or the seller can connect to the electronic commerce server to input the goods determined to be purchased by the purchaser, after checking the goods unselected and returned by the purchaser, at step F3.
<37> The electronic commerce server compares the price of the goods determined to be purchased by the purchaser with the amount settled for the goods package by the purchaser at step UlO-I. If the price of the goods determined to be purchased by the purchaser is different from the provisional settlement amount for the goods package by the purchaser, the electronic commerce server cancels the provisional settlement and replaces the price of the goods determined to be purchased by the purchaser with a new payment amount and request a credit card company to approve the new settlement as a final payment at step UlO-1-1. But, if the price of the goods determined to be purchased by the purchaser is the same as the provisional settlement amount for the goods package by the purchaser, the electronic commerce server requests a credit card company to approve the provisional settlement as a final payment amount at step UlO-1-2.
<38> Figure 3 is illustrating another example of the best mode for carrying out the present invention by a future payment method.
<39> The purchaser connects to the Internet shopping mall provided by the seller and the electronic commerce server at step Tl and the purchaser configures a goods package containing at least two or more goods at step T2. The purchaser inputs intention of purchasing goods in a selective goods purchase method at step T3.
<40> The electronic commerce server checks whether types, quantities, and the like of the goods contained in the goods package are valid for purchase in the selective goods purchase method at step T4.
<4i> Then the electronic commerce server reports to the seller that there is a purchase request from a purchaser and asks the seller to ship the goods package with shipping and returning invoices for the goods by transmitting the shipping information inputted and goods information selected by the purchaser at step T5. At this step, if the seller delivers the goods by himself to the purchaser, shipping and returning invoices may be canceled.
<42> The seller ships the goods package to the purchaser at step U6.
<43> The purchaser selects further desirable goods among the goods package that the purchaser configured at step T7 and returns unselected goods using the returning invoice, which is delivered from the seller with the goods package, at step El. The purchaser connects to the electronic commerce server and inputs goods determined to be purchased among the goods package delivered from the seller at step T8 and make a payment for the goods at step T9. At this step, if the seller delivers the goods by himself to the purchaser, the purchaser can makes a payment for the goods by cash or credit card on the spot.
<44> A payment method as an escrow service is another one of the best modes for carrying out the present invention.
<45> A payment method as an escrow service is another one of the best modes for carrying out the present invention. When the purchaser makes a payment for the goods package, the payment amount is deposited in a certified deposit account of the third financial organ , such as bank and card company, or in a deposit account of operating company of electronic commerce server, and thereafter the purchaser makes a additional payment or get a refund the difference from the deposit account according to the goods, which are selected to be purchased among the goods package. Meanwhile, the seller receives a settled payment amount from the deposit account after confirmation of the purchaser. [Mode for Invention]
<46> Figure 4 is an example view of webpage illustrating an easy searching method of goods by providing identifiers of goods whether the goods can be purchased in the selective goods purchase method or not as a basic information of internet shopping mall webpage .
<47> Figure 5 is an example view of webpage illustrating goods package cart that contains different size shoes of the same price. Figure 5 is illustrating that the purchaser intend to select one shoes among the different size shoes. The purchaser makes a payment for the shoes package, and thereafter selects shoes suitable for his foot from the shoes package after delivery. Because all shoes are the same price, there is no additional payment or refund procedure.
<48> Figure 6 is an example view of webpage illustrating goods package cart that contains different baseball gloves at different prices and models. Figure 6 is illustrating that the purchaser intend to select one baseball glove between A' glove of A manufacturer and B' glove of B manufacturer. The purchaser makes a payment for the baseball gloves package, and thereafter selects a suitable baseball glove from the baseball gloves package after delivery. Because baseball gloves are different prices. The electronic commerce server request the purchaser to make a payment at the most expensive goods price among the baseball gloves contained in the baseball gloves package. If the purchaser decides to select the most expensive one, there is no settlement procedure, but, if the purchaser decides to select the other, the purchaser gets a refund of the difference.
