[48] The mobile communication terminal 1 senses signals of the assistant display device
2 input via a communication port and checks whether the assistant display device 2 is connected to the mobile communication terminal 1 (operation 12). [49] When the assistant display device 2 is connected by the wireless link, the mobile communication terminal determines whether data equal to data provided to the LCD display device 20 of the mobile communication terminal 1 are transmitted to the assistant display device 2 in operation 13.
[50] When the data equal to the data performed in the LCD display device of the mobile communication terminal 1 are performed through the assistant display device 2, the data equal to the data processed in the mobile phone circuit unit 101 and transmitted to the LCD drive unit 202 are transmitted to the assistant display device 2 through the first data communication module 102 in operation 14.
[51] In operation 15, digital signals transmitted to the second data communication module 21 of the assistant display device 2 are processed in the MICOM 22 and outputted into the outside through the display unit 24 and the audio unit 26.
[52] Therefore, the user can watch moving pictures through the assistant display device
2, which has a larger screen than the LCD display device 20 of the mobile communication terminal 1.
[53] Meanwhile, when a command for performing data different from the data provided to the LCD display device 20 of the mobile communication terminal 1 are selected in the assistant display device 2 in operation 13, contents to be displayed are determined in the assistant display device 2 by searching a function that can be performed in the mobile communication terminal 1 in operation 17.
[54] In operation 14, data different from the data transmitted to the LCD drive unit 202 from the mobile phone circuit unit 101 of the mobile communication terminal 1 are transmitted to the second data communication module 21 of the assistant display device 2 through the first data communication module 102.
[55] In operation 15, digital signals received from the second data communication module 21 of the assistant display device 2 are processed in the MICOM 22 and outputted into the outside through the display unit 24 and the audio unit 26.
[56] When mutually different data information is displayed on the assistant display device 2 and the mobile communication terminal 1, the mobile phone circuit unit 101 separates data to be transmitted to the LCD drive unit 202 through a switching circuit (not shown) and data to be transmitted to the second data communication module 21 of the assistant display device 2 through the first data communication module 102 of the mobile communication terminal 1 from the processed video information.
[57] If an image is photographed using the mobile communication terminal 1, analog image data converted into electric signals by an image sensor (charge-coupled device (CCD) and complementary metal-oxide-silicon (CMOS)) are converted into digital RGB data and an image processing for pressing the RGB data may be performed.
[58] The digital image signals are stored in an internal memory. Also, the digital image signals may be displayed on the liquid crystal panel 201 served as a main display unit or transmitted to the second data communication module 21 of the assistant display device 2 according to the present invention through the first data communication module 102 installed in the mobile communication terminal 1.
[59] Then, the digital signals received from the second data communication module 21 of the assistant display device 2 are processed in the MICOM 22 and outputted into the outside through the display unit 24 and the audio unit 26.
[60] A memory capable of storing data transmitted/received to/from the mobile communication terminal 1 is installed in the assistant display device 2 to store the received image in the memory.
[61] Also, a DMB receiver 25 and a power supply 27 are independently built in the assistant display device according to the present invention to replay satellite broadcasting without connecting to the mobile communication terminal 1.
[62] In terms of the described method, when images are displayed using a third display device capable of communicating with the mobile communication terminal, an equal or different video compared with the mobile communication terminal can be watched in the wide screen and a high quality image.
[63] This is, it is made possible by connecting an image display device with small-sized electrical appliances using a communication module commonly used without a cable connector capable of connecting an external communication network.
[64] In the assistant display device according to an embodiment of the present invention, the electrical appliances capable of transmitting/receiving signals according to a wireless communication standard to/from a data communication module can also transmit/receive signals and data to/from the outside through the wireless data communication module without an additional communication device or module.
[65] The wireless data communication module is installed in the electrical appliance, such as a washing machine and a refrigerator, in which a communicatable device must be built separately in order to perform home networking. Therefore, using an Internet connection through the existing electrical appliances is possible and also data transmission/reception to/from the outside can be implemented.
[66] In this case, transmission/reception signals of the electrical appliances are transmitted through the wireless data communication module by properly converting the transmission/reception signals of the electrical appliances in the wireless data communication module of the assistant display device. Industrial Applicability
[67] An assistant display device according to the embodiments of the present invention can be connected to a mobile communication terminal having a small-sized screen by a wireless link. Therefore, a user can easily watch an image of high pixel density and information of moving pictures, which is stored and displayed in/on the mobile communication terminal using an assistant display device having a large screen, thereby protecting the user's eyesight.
[68] The assistant display device according to the embodiments of the present invention can display different images on each of a plurality of display devices because of displaying equal or different images compared with an LCD display device of the mobile communication terminal, thereby increasing user's convenience.
[69] In the assistant display device according to the embodiments of the present invention, the electrical appliances have excellent compatibility between devices because of receiving data from mobile communication terminals (e.g., mobile phones, Personal Data Assistants (PDAs)) and main servers by a wireless link to display the received data and having no use of a video input cable, a fixing equipment, and a program capable of data compatibility. Therefore, the electrical appliances having the excellent compatibility between the devices can be widely used.
