Abstract
A display device includes a screen configured to display content. At least one light source provides ambient light under the control of a processor. The processor is configured to generate a lighting script from coherent pixels of at least one portion of the content including discarding incoherent pixels of the at least one portion, and to control the light source(s) in accordance with the lighting script.
