Abstract
Le dispositif est conçu de manière à fonctionner selon deux modes distincts définis par la position du bras supportant le microphone; Un mode Discret (Téléphone sans fil), où seul l'utilisateur peut converser dans ce cas le bras est écarté du boîtier et le microphone ainsi que le haut parleur du dispositif sont activés Un mode Ouvert (Microphone sans fil), où l'utilisateur et l'entourage peuvent converser, dans ce cas le bras est replié dans le boîtier principal. Le changement de mode est détecté par le processeur du dispositif et automatiquement transmis par radio à l'ordinateur portable qui se configure immédiatement selon les conditions requises par le mode sélectionné Le boîtier principal répond aux normes PCMCIA 1.0/JEIDA 4.0 et peut être aisément inséré dans le logement PCMCIA Type II d'un ordinateur portable, ainsi la batterie peut être chargée par l'ordinateur portable, rendant le dispositif disponible à tout moment.
Description
TITRE DE L'INVENTION
Téléphone mobile autonome, sans fil, intégrable dans le boîtier d'un ordinateur portable et capable de fonctionner sous deux modes distincts,
"Téléphone sans fil" ou "Microphone sans fil".
L'invention concerne un dispositif fonctionnant d'une manière autonome comprennant un émetteur et un récepteur radio capable de communiquer avec un ordinateur portable et de s'intégrer dans son boîtier. II est conçu de manière à fonctionner selon deux modes distincts, "Téléphone sans fil" ou "Microphone sans fil".
Les ordinateurs portables récents offrent des fonctions de communication numériques très performantes qui leur permettent de communiquer vers des réseaux numériques extérieurs et ouvrent la possibilité d'utiliser de nouveaux types de services comme la téléphonie numériques.
Ces services connues comme " Voice Over Internet Protocol ou VOIP " transforment l'ordinateur portable en station mobile de téléphonie numérique. Cette nouvelle fonctionnalitée liée à la réduction des coûts de ce type de communication va accentuer l'utilisation de l'ordinateur portable comme relais numérique d'un téléphone.
Notons que ces ordinateurs portables comportent le plus souvent des dispositifs audios intégrés, constitués par une électronique associée à un microphone et à un haut parleur. Cependant leur fonctionnement simultané est précaire, parfois impossible et il est nécessaire d1 utiliser un casque audio ou une oreillette extérieure pour se connecter avec succès aux services de téléphonie numérique ( VOIP ).
Si le casque ou l'oreillette sont conçus avec une communication sans fil de type " BlueTooth " par exemple, il faudra prendre soin de recharger régulièrement les batteries, ce qui nécessite le transport d'un chargeur spécifique.
Enfin aucun de ces dispositifs assez volumineux, ne sont logeables et intégrables dans le boîtier de l'ordinateur portable ce qui nécessitent de les transporter séparément.
Le but de la présente invention est de supprimer les inconvénients des dispositifs connus et rendre possible deux modes de fonctionnement distincs " Téléphone sans Fil " et " Microphone sans Fil" en sélectionnant le mode d'une manière très simple et pratique pour l'utilisateur.
Un autre but de l'invention est de supprimer le besoin d'un chargeur spécifique en utilisant l'ordinateur portable comme source d'énergie capable de charger a tout moment la batterie du dispositif.
L' invention sera mieux comprise à la lecture de la description suivante accompagnée des dessins en annexe qui en font partie intégrante et parmi lesquels:
La Figure 1, illustre d'une manière fonctionnelle un exemple de dispositif conforme a l'invention.
Les Figures 2a et 2b, illustrent le dispositif de sélection des deux modes de fonctionnement " Téléphone sans Fil" et "Microphone sans Fil"
La Figure 3, illustre l'intégration du dispositif dans le logement du boîtier de l'ordinateur portable sans modification particulières.
La Figure 4, illustre les moyens de commandes de mise en route, de contrôle du volume et de mise à jour du logiciel disponibles avec le dispositif.
Le dispositif objet de l'invention est constitué d'un ensemble de composants illustré dans la Figure 1 qui comprend ;
Un Microphone (1) qui transmet les informations Audio a un contrôleur
"Audio CODEC" (2)
Un Haut Parleur (3) qui reçoit les informations Audio d'un contrôleur "Audio CODEC" (2)
Un Processeur (4) sous le contrôle de logiciels spécifiques mémorisés dans une mémoire (5)
Une Batterie (6) rendant le dispositif autonome et mobile, pouvant être rechargée par un circuit de charge (7) à travers le Connecteur conforme aux spécifications PCMCIA 1.0/JEIDA 4.0 (8)
Un Boîtier (9) conforme aux spécifications mécaniques PCMCIA 1.0/JEIDA
4.0 Type II
Un Mécanisme (10) constitué d'un bras articule en rotation ou en translation supportant le Microphone (1) et dont la position ouverte ou fermée est détectée par un Contact (11)
Un Contact (11) dont l'état "Ouvert" ou "Fermé" est envoyé en permanence au Processeur (4) permettant ainsi la détection du mode de fonctionnement.
Un émetteur récepteur Radio (12) avec une Antenne (13) assure, 85 sous le contrôle du Processeur (4) la transmission et la réception des signaux Audio compatibles et compréhensibles par l'ordinateur portable, (transmission "BlueTooth" par exemple).
Les Figures 2a et 2b , illustrent les deux modes distincts (2a et 2b) de 90 fonctionnement du dispositif.
Mode Discret 2a ou "Téléphone sans fil "
Dans la Figure 2a le bras supportant le Microphone (1) est déplié, éloignant le Microphone (1) du Boîtier principal (9) et réduisant de ce fait
95 la liaison acoustique entre le Haut Parleur (2) et le Microphone (1).
Dans ce cas le Contact (11) est désactivé et sa position détectée par le Processeur (4) détermine le mode de fonctionnement de type " Téléphone sans fil" ou Mode Discret (2a). Dans ce mode de fonctionnement le dispositif se comporte comme un
100 téléphone mobile et discret, seul le Microphone et Ie Haut Parleur du dispositif sont activés. Le Processeur (4) ayant détecté ce mode "Discret" de fonctionnement du dispositif a déjà envoyé par la Radio (12) le code du profil de fonctionnement de l'ordinateur portable, qui dans ce cas
105 désactive son Microphone et ses Haut Parleurs. Seul l'utilisateur du dispositif peut participer à la conversation et la conversation ne gène pas l'entourage immédiat.
Mode Ouvert 2b ou "Microphone sans fil" Dans la Figure 2b, le bras supportant le microphone est replié et le micro
110 partiellement inséré dans le Boîtier principal (9). Dans ce cas le Contact (11) est activé et sa position détectée par le Processeur (4) détermine le mode de fonctionnement de type " Microphone sans fil " ou Mode Ouvert (2b). Le Processeur (4) ayant détecté le changement de position du bras envoie
115 immédiatement par la Radio (12) le code du profil de fonctionnement en mode "Ouvert" à l' ordinateur portable, qui dans ce cas active le fonctionnement de ses Haut Parleurs. Par contre le microphone de l'ordinateur portable reste inactivé et le dispositif fonctionne comme un microphone sans fil. L1 utilisateur et son entourage peuvent entendre la
120 conversation et y participer.
La Figure 3 illustre la possibilié d'intégrer le dispositif dans le logement
PCMCIA LO/JEIDA 4.0 du boîtier de l'ordinateur portable.
En effet le Boîtier principal (9) du dispositif est réalisé selon les normes mécaniques conformes à la norme PCMCIA 1.0/JEIDA 4.0 et comme la 125 plupart des ordinateurs portables disposent d'un logement compatible avec cette norme, il est facile et pratique d'intégrer le dispositif dans ce logement quand le dispositif n'est pas utilisé.
De plus le Connecteur (8) est aussi compatible avec le connecteur du logement et permet ainsi la connection électrique du dispositif et de 130 l'ordinateur portable. Ainsi, il est possible d'utiliser cette énergie et de recharger la Batterie (6) du dispositif sans avoir à prévoir un chargeur extérieur encombrant et coûteux.
Le Boîtier principal (9) de dimension réduite sera aussi protégé en permanence dans son logement et le dispositif disponible a tout moment. 135
La Figure 4, illustre les moyens de commandes de mise en route, de contrôle du volume et de mise à jour du logiciel, disponibles avec le dispositif.
Une brève pression du Boutton (14) assure la mise en fonctionnement du 140 dispositif ainsi que le contrôle du volume audio quand il est activé, le même boutton permet enfin d'arrêter le fonctionnement du dispositif après une pression plus longue.
Le Connecteur (8) respectant la connectivité de la norme PCMCIA1.0 /
JEIDA 4.0 sera utilisé pour remettre à jour le logiciel du dispositif sans 145 avoir à prévoir un connecteur suplémentaire et encombrant dans le dispositif.
Claims
1.0/JEIDA 4.0 Type II et le connecteur situé à son extrémité est compatible avec cette norme permettant l'insertion immédiate et sans modification du dispositif dans le logement PCMCIA disponible dans le boîtier de l'ordinateur portable.
7- Dispositif selon les revendications 1 et 6, ou la batterie résidente dans le boîtier principal est rechargée électriquement quand le dispositif est inséré dans le logement PCMCIA Type II de I' ordinateur portable par l'intermédiaire du connecteur intégré et compatible PCMCIA 1.0/JEIDA 4.0 évitant le nécessité de transporter un chargeur spécifique extérieur et rendant le dispositif disponible à tout moment.
8- Dispositif selon les revendications 1, 6,et 7 où le logiciel ainsi que des données spécifiques au dispositif inséré dans le logement PCMCIA Type II de l'ordinateur portable peuvent être modifiés par l'ordinateur portable en utilisant le connecteur compatible PCMCIA 1.0/JEIDA 4.0.
9- Dispositif selon les revendications 1, 2, 3 et 6 où un seul bouton contrôlé par le processeur permet de mettre en route, contrôler le volume et arrêter le dispositif et où ce bouton réalisé en matériaux plastique sert de couvercle à l'antenne de la radio.
