Abstract

The invention relates to a method for active vibration reduction in a rail vehicle (UBW) using a control system that comprises a number of sensors (AS1-AS6) for measuring deformations of the carriage body of the rail vehicle and a number of actuators (AS1-AS6), which are attached exclusively to the carriage body and generate actuating forces and/or actuating torques on the carriage body. A control device is configured to receive measurement signals from the sensors, derive characteristic variables from the signals, said variables relating to elastic deformations in terms of the vibrational eigenmode of the carriage body, calculate a set of actuating variables using these characteristic variables and supply actuating signals that correspond to the actuating variables to the actuators.
