Abstract

The invention relates to a binding set (3) for nonexperts for producing a bound album (1) and to the associated production method. The binding set (3) comprises a number of prepared covers (8), at least one spine card (16) and at least one separate adhesive means (21) with a transfer adhesive (23) provided in the form of a grid (26). The album pages (2) to be bound are each coated on the same edge (31) and on one or both sides with the transfer adhesive (23) and, afterwards, are placed one atop the other while forming a stack of pages and are adhered to one another on the edge. Binding set and method of making a bound album

The invention relates to a binding set and a method for non-professionals for the production of a bound album having the features in the preamble of the method and device main claim.

In practice, it is known to glue photographic prints in a prefabricated photo album. On the one hand, this entails the known adhesive-technical problems and on the other hand, in view of today's standard digital photography, it is no longer up-to-date. Digital photos can be printed on the computer on photographic paper, wherein the available size in the print size like. DIN-A-4, fully exploited. If you want to combine such photo sheets to an album, it is known to use clamping rails. The visual appearance of such an album, however, can not satisfy aesthetically.

It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a better production technique for an album for non-professional use.

The invention solves this problem with the features in the method and device main claim.

The claimed binding kit and manufacturing process allow non-professionals to create home-made albums in a professional look from their own templates. Here, the album pages or templates can be of any kind. In addition to photo pages or photographic computer printouts, photo boxes can be height-impacted, but otherwise they can be any other Templates, eg brochures from the hotel, films, textile fabric samples or the like are involved. Synthetic rubbers are particularly suitable for this and offer favorable adhesive properties. The adhesive of the cover, the back strip and the adhesive may be similar and possibly even uniform, which offers production advantages and also simplifies handling for the user. The adhesive can be provided in different forms. In the simplest case transfer tapes are available. FIG. 1 shows a bound album (1) which can be produced by a non-expert from a binding set (3) explained below. FIGS. 9 to 11 illustrate for this purpose the various method steps in the production.

The album (1) consists of arranged on both sides and outside cover sheets (8), a back strip (16) and a stack of sheets (7), possibly still intent sheets (12) and one or two capital bands (20) are present. The various album parts are connected to each other by adhesive bonds, preferably with a pressure-sensitive adhesive. The stack of sheets (7) consists of several, precisely superposed album leaves (2). These album pages (2) can be of any type and size and are provided by the user. These are, for example, one- or two-sided photo printouts, which the user can create on the computer or directly on the printer based on digital photos. The format may be, for example, DIN-A-4 or any other size. The different album pages (2) can have the same or different format among each other. A cover (8) is shown in FIG. The adhesive surface (10) of the cover (8) is preferably formed by a pressure-sensitive adhesive. The back strip (16) shown in Figure 4 serves as a back envelope for the album (1) and has a preferably rectangular shape. In length, it is adapted to the length of the binding edge of the cover (8). This allows not only the secure and wrinkle-free adhesion but also the detection of small inequalities of the paper edges of the stack back (30). FIG. 3 shows an adhesive (21), which is designed here as a transfer adhesive strip. It consists of a carrier (22) with an applied adhesive layer (24) of a preferably screened transfer adhesive (23). The transfer adhesive (23) is a pressure-sensitive adhesive, which is identical or similar to the pressure-sensitive adhesive on the prepared adhesive surfaces (10, 18) of the cover sheets (8) and the back strip (16) is formed. In the case of the pressure-sensitive adhesive, the internal cohesive forces are greater than the external adhesion forces with respect to the carrier (22). The transfer adhesive (23) can be non-destructively detached from the carrier (22) when it comes in contact with the album pages (22) or other templates on its free side. The pressure-sensitive adhesive may consist of the same or a different material for the different adhesive surfaces (10, 18) or the adhesive layer (24). The adhesive is preferably in the form of small isolated drops of adhesive (25), which are distributed at a mutual distance in the form of a preferably uniform planar grid (26). The adhesive drops (25) are arranged for this purpose, for example, in several rows next to each other without mutual contact and can thus individually detach and transfer. The adhesive drops (25) are very small and have, for example, a diameter of about 0.3 mm. The diameter may alternatively be smaller or larger and be up to a few millimeters. The distances between the glue drops (25) are about as large as their diameter or smaller. To increase the Packing density, the adhesive droplet rows can be arranged with mutual offset.

The screening of the pressure-sensitive adhesive further allows a transfer of subsets of the adhesive without destroying the adhesive layer (24). The residual amount of the adhesive drops (25) remains on the carrier (22). This is particularly advantageous for transfer adhesive strips (21), which may have a standard size and an excess length compared to conventional album sheet formats. On the album sheets (2) only the amount of adhesive required by the respective sheet size or adhesive layer length is transmitted.

The capital band (20) shown in Figure 5 consists of a carrier strip of a plastic film or textile fabric with a thickened longitudinal edge, e.g. also formed by a textile fabric.

Figure 6 shows a folded header sheet (12) made of a suitable material, e.g. made of a decorative paper. The sheet size preferably corresponds to the format of the album sheets (2) and the cover sheets (8).

Claims

A method for producing a bound album (1) from a plurality of album leaves (2) with a binding set (3) according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that to be bound album leaves (2) respectively at the same edge (31) and one or both sides are coated with the transfer adhesive (23), the album leaves (2) are stacked together to form a stack of sheets (7) and glued together at the edges, - the back strip (16) with exposed adhesive surface (18) around the back (30 ) and the adjacent edge regions (31) of the sheet stack (7) is glued.

25.) Method according to claim 24, characterized in that on both sides of the back strip (16) the cover sheets (8) are adhesively bonded with the adhesive surface (10) exposed.

The method of claim 24 or 25, characterized in that prior to adhering the back strip (16) the attachment sheets (12) with the transfer adhesive (23) are glued to the edge at the top and bottom of the sheet stack (7), wherein the back strip (16) is then glued externally on the attachment sheets (12).

27.) Method according to claim 24, 25 or 26, characterized in that the cover sheets (8) are glued on both sides to the respective outer sheet sheet (13) of the associated attachment sheet (12).

28.) Method according to one of claims 24 to 27, characterized in that one or more capital bands (20) are glued to the back (30) of the sheet stack (7) before the back strip (16) is glued.
