Abstract

As described above, the present invention prepares the composition of the cleaning and coating agent for motor coils or mechanisms with the chlorinated solvent as a main component, to thereby improve detergency and coating capability of the motor coils. Also, quick cleaning provides effect of increasing durability of motors, shortening work process, reducing labor costs, enhancing working environment, etc. Particularly, since cleaning and coating of the motor coils and mechanisms is performed at a time, the composition of the present invention can further improve protection of coils and durability of mechanisms, without inconvenience of re-winding.

Description

Description COMPOSITION OF A CLEANING AND COATING
AGENT FOR MOTOR COILS OR MECHANISMS
Technical Field
[1] The present invention relates to a composition of a cleaning and coating agent for motor coils or mechanisms, and more particularly, to a composition of a cleaning and coating agent for motor coils or mechanisms, which improves detergency and coating capability of the motor coils and mechanisms to thereby enhance performance of motors and mechanisms.
Background Art
[2] Generally, detergents of motor coils and mechanisms are for quickly and clearly removing dirty materials and insulation-carbonized materials. When motors, coils, cables, etc., are used for a long time, an insulation state of motors becomes defective as insulation agents and insulation oil coated on surfaces of motor coils are carbonized or become stained. Such defects may cause incidental aoddents such as short-drαit, electric leakage, etc., and also remarkably lessen durability of the mechanisms. Therefore, the detergent of the motor coils and mechanisms should quickly remove contaminants and carbonized materials during cleaning. Particularly, in order not to damage insulation coating to surfaces thereof, it should be fully considered the charac¬ teristics of respective components of a composition consisting of the detergent in combination.
[3] However, detergents which are currently being used for the motor coils and mechanisms are employed with only solvents composed of hydrocarbon, per- chloroethylene, dichloromethane, etc., separately. These solvents have drawbacks that damage the enameled winding coils and emanate odor therefrom, and thus anti- corrosive oil should be additionally sprayed for coating after cleaning. Moreover, since the above solvents are used separately, their intrinsic characteristics are not fully given forth in combination.
[4] Therefore, in order to solve these drawbacks, Korean Patent Application No.
10-2003-0004736 entitled 'Composition of a detergent for motor coils' was filed by the same inventor of the present application, which is composed of a hydrocarbonated solvent from 10 to 70% by weight, perchloroethylenated solvent from 10 to 40% by weight, dichloromethanated solvent from 10 to 20% by weight, and anticorrosive oil from 2 to 5% by weight. The above invention is advantageous to cleaning the motor coils, but has less coating effect and detergency of the mechanisms. Therefore, coating work should be additionally made in order to protect the coils and mechanisms. In the case of motors, re- winding is further required.
[5]
Disclosure
[6] Therefore, it is an object of the present invention to provide a composition of a cleaning and coating agent for motor coils or mechanisms.
[7] If a chlorinated solvent, hydrocarbonated solvent, anticorrosive oil, insulation coating agent, etc., are mixed in an optimum ratio in many tests or experiments, cleaning and coating advantages of respective solvents can be obtained at maximum, thereby providing effect of quickly and clearly removing dirt, contaminants and carbonized materials of insulation oil accumulated between motor coils and mechanisms. At the same time coating to surfaces of the motor coils or mechanisms are made with coating components. Therefore, the present invention can provide cleaning and coating effect at a time without additional coating work to protect the motor coils and mechanisms.
[8]
Best Mode
[9] The present invention will be described in detail hereinafter.
[10] In preparing a composition of a cleaning and coating agent for motor coils or mechanisms according to the present invention, the composition contains a chlorinated solvent from 10 to 90% by weight, hydrocarbonated solvent from 10 to 70% by weight and anticorrosive oil from 0.5 to 30% by weight.
[11] Trichloroethan has a formula of C H Cl (ClCH - CHCl ) and is chlorine 2
2 4 3 3 2 substituent of ethane, of which a molecular weight is 98.96. Also, the trichloroethan has physical properties of 1.345 of a specific gravity and 74 °C of a boiling point.
[12] The chlorinated solvent has two structural isomers of 1,1 -ethylene chloride and
1,2-ethylene chloride , both of which can be mixed with ethanol in a certain ratio. Also, the chlorinated solvent has great solubility with regard to organic solvents, and thus the composition of a cleaning and coating agent for the motor coils or mechanisms according to the present invention contains the chlorinated solvent from 10 to 90% by weight.
[13] In this case, if the chlorinated solvent is less than or equal to 10% by weight, cleaning and coating effect of the motor coils and mechanisms are lowered. If the chlorinated solvent is more than 90% by weight, other protection effect such as anti- corrosion is lessened due to reduction of other solvents in contents.
[14] Also, since the hydrocarbonated solvent is a commonly strong volatile material, it has properties of well dissolving oil and fat and of being easily evaporable. Therefore, the hydrocarbonated solvent is usually used for cleaning machines, preparing the ap¬ plication of paints, extracting required materials, dry cleaning, etc. Accordingly, the composition of the present invention contains the hydrocarbonated solvent from 10 to 70% by weight.
[15] If the hydrocarbonated solvent is less than or equal to 10% by weight in the total contents of the composition of the present invention, the detergency of the motor coils is lessened due to lack of volatility. Otherwise, if it is more than 70% by weight, such contents may cause to be fatal to a user's health. Therefore, it is preferred that the contents of the hydrocarbonated solvent ranges from 10 to 70% by weight,
[16] The anticorrosive oil plays a role of producing an oil protection film on surfaces of metal and preventing oxygen in atmosphere or water, and thus prevents rust thereon for a given period of storage or transportation of metallic products.
[17] In the composition of the present invention, if the anticorrosive oil is less than or equal to 0.5% by weight, the anticorrosion effect of the motor coils becomes lowered. If the anticorrosive oil is more than 30% by weight, there is a drawback of flow-out of the anticorrosive oil due to excessive use. Therefore, it is preferred that the contents of the anticorrosive oil ranges from 0.5 to 30% by weight,
[18] The present invention will be specifically described with the following examples.
[19] Example 1 :
[20] 1 € of a chlorinated solvent, 1 € of a hydrocarbonated solvent and 0.05 € of anti¬ corrosive oil are introduced in a vessel, and then mixed to produce a composition of a cleaning and coating agent for the motor coils and mechanisms according to the present invention.
[21] Example 1 (Comparative*) :
[22] Only chlorinated solvent is used in preparing 2.55 € of a detergent of the motor coils and mechanisms.
[23] Example 2 (Comparative*) :
[24] Only hydrocarbonated solvent is used in preparing 2.55 £ of a detergent of the motor coils and mechanisms.
[25] In the composition of the cleaning and coating agent for the motor coils or mechanisms aαcording to the above example 1 and comparative examples 1 and 2, the inner coils of an industrial motor are steeped for 2 hours, and then washed to check the level of cleaning and damage of the coils. The results obtained are set forth in the following Table 1 below:
[26] TABLE l
[27]
Figure imgf000005_0001
[28] O : Good Δ : Average x : Bad [29] As may be seen from the results of Table 1, the detergent of the motor coils and mechanisms according to the present invention has good cleaning and coating capability without damage on the coils after cleaning.
