Abstract

The invention relates to a device for protecting the face of individuals. Said device comprises a transparent shield (1) and an adhesive area (2) for fastening the device on the face of an individual, said adhesive area (2) being applied to the shield (1) in a border area thereof. The adhesive area (2) is configured by a plurality of adhesive points, thereby providing an effective protection.

The invention relates to a special device for protecting the face of people, with a transparent protective shield and with an adhesive surface for attaching the device to the face of the person, which adhesive surface is attached directly to an edge region of the protective shield.

Mainly hairdressers are faced with the problem that u. a. finest haircut that falls on the face of the customer during the hairstyle treatment, adheres to the areas of the face, especially where the face has been treated with "make-up", various creams or other nourishing agents, or where there is increased oily or sweaty skin These mostly fine haircut wastes are very difficult to remove from these facial areas because fine haircuts adhere particularly well to the mostly fatty cream layers. Using conventional techniques and the use of the finest devices such as brushes, brushes or even an air shower, such haircuts can be done remove most of it, but there is usually a risk of damaging carefully designed "make-up" layers, which results in customer displeasure and time-consuming "repairs". Different protective devices correspond to the prior art, but they have different disadvantages and have therefore not become established to the desired extent.

JP 2002-017446 A discloses a protective device consisting of at least two individual parts, which consists of a solid, bow-like basic element which is attached to the forehead, below the hairline, with an adhesive layer applied on one side and consisting of three adhesive points. is brought and on the second side facing away from the forehead a protective shield, also carried out with a one-sided adhesive layer, is applied. In a second embodiment variant, the base element is additionally provided with special brackets which additionally support the base element on the ears. The actual protective shield is intended as a disposable item and can be stored as a stack and can be detached from the stack individually using the continuous one-sided adhesive strip, while the basic element is used as a reusable item. The protective effect is achieved by covering the entire face area vertically from the hairline to the tip of the nose and horizontally across the width of the face by the protective shield. The disadvantage of this embodiment variant is the covering of the eyebrow area, which is why the protective shield must be removed when processing the eyebrows and the protective effect is no longer applicable, the two-part embodiment and the fact that the basic element coming into contact with the facial skin of the customer is used several times , due to the adhesive layer, however, it cannot be cleaned sufficiently, which contributes to unnecessary cost factors.

Another protective device is disclosed in JP 2000-012934 A. This protection device is a sack-like device, which is designed with an extended part and is placed over the head as a whole, such that all hair and the z. B. facial area treated with makeup are completely enclosed and wrapped, attached with a ribbon loop below the chin area and the extended part of the protective device falls like a bib over the chest area. This makes it possible to prevent the item of clothing (e.g. pullover) from being contaminated with make-up or loose hair when putting on or taking off a piece of clothing. This protective device is only suitable for protecting clothing, but not as local face protection.

EP 0 990 432 A describes a protective device which consists of a single elastic, self-adhesive strip which is applied to the forehead skin below the hairline and prevents colorants from getting onto the forehead skin of the customer during a hair dye treatment. However, this protective device does not offer any protective effect over the entire face area during a haircut.

Canadian patent 2,109,500 dated May 6, 1995 discloses a transparent protective device for commercial and private use which protects the face area against haircut, hairspray or hair cutting tools and is characterized in that this protective device is attached to the head with special elastic bands or brackets and with elas- table seals or the like can be provided or held in front of the face with a device by hand. The entire shoulder and neck area can be additionally protected with an additional unit. A first embodiment variant is only described verbally and is not shown as a sketch, so that the enormous size of the protective device can only be guessed at, while a second embodiment variant is also shown as a sketch and provides an indication of the basic embodiment and the size of the protective device. Both versions represent protective devices that are very expensive and therefore cannot be used as disposable items.

US 4,856,535 A shows a protective shield which is intended to provide protection against water when showering. This protective shield is connected to the head of the wearer with a continuous line of adhesive on the top, which continues laterally downwards. This device provides excellent protection against water or other substances, but is not very pleasant for the wearer due to the large-area bonding. This is tolerable for a short-term shower process, but such a device is unacceptable for long-term hair care treatment.

The object of the present invention is to develop a protective device that reliably prevents wetting of the facial skin during a haircut, using the finest haircut and loose scalp dandruff, and is also very simple to use and extremely cost-effective, as well as a high degree of customer acceptance offers. Another object of the invention is to influence the scalp of the wearer as little as possible, so that comfort is increased and any irritation can be minimized.

According to the invention, these objects are achieved in that the adhesive surface is formed by a plurality of adhesive points that are separate from one another.

The protective device essentially consists of a protective shield, which is arranged in the area of the eyebrows and below the hairline over the entire width of the face and has a depth that ensures reliable protection against falling fine haircuts. This protective screen is made of a thin, flexible material, preferably paper, thin cardboard, plastic film, plexiglass, nonwovens, textile fabric or the like. In a special embodiment variant, materials are used for the face protection which largely prevent impairment of the eyesight, which is made possible by means of transparent or semi-transparent materials. Both the customer and the hairdresser should be able to maintain eye contact. Furthermore, the shape can be rectangular, curved or specially shaped and adapted to the shape of the face. So that both the customer and the hairdresser can keep their hands completely free during the hair treatment, it is intended to temporarily attach the face shield to the head. For this purpose, special skin-compatible adhesives are provided or mechanical fastening using an elastic rubber band or the like. The protective device is essentially intended as a disposable item. The solution according to the invention in particular ensures that the total adhesive area can be minimized.

In a further embodiment variant, this protective device is made of a material that offers reliable protection against UV radiation and, due to the special shape, primarily covers the area of the eyes and can be used as a protective device in solariums or during facial tanning. In a version made of a material that has a special insulating effect against infrared radiation, such as. B. with heat lamps, can also be particularly sensitive facial areas such. B. the eye area to be protected from infrared radiation.

Another embodiment variant of the protective device according to the invention consists of a dimensionally stable and transparent material, so that protection of the face against wind currents is possible.

A further area of application of an embodiment variant of the protective device according to the invention is a face veil (privacy shield) which is temporarily attached to the face by means of skin-compatible adhesive or mechanically, by means of elastic elements, and can cover up the wearer's field of vision.

It is particularly favorable if a hem is formed from a soft, elastic material at the upper edge of the protective shield. This is preferably a fur-like short-haired hem which prevents the finest particles from falling through a possible gap between the upper area of the protective shield and the face. A sealing effect is thereby achieved, which also improves comfort. The hem is preferably arranged above the adhesive dots. Furthermore, it is particularly advantageous if a projection directed towards the user in the use position is formed on the upper edge of the protective shield. This measure alone or in combination with the hem described above can further increase reliability. A particular increase in comfort can be achieved in that the protective shield consists at least partially of an air-permeable material. In this way, the air circulation can be improved accordingly.
