Abstract

The invention relates to an arrangement and a method for carrying out video conferences, whereby, for each user side, a first camera is connected to a central device for operating a telecommunication connection, at least one second camera being associated with a user of said user side on at least one of the user sides. The second camera is connected to the central device and is embodied in such a way that a first area photographically recorded by said camera follows the head movements of the user. Furthermore, the first camera and the second camera are embodied in such a way that a second area photographically recorded by the first camera is respectively transmitted as a video image by means of the telecommunication connection, by orienting the second camera towards the first camera.
