Description

Présentoir et procédé de fabrication associéDisplay and associated manufacturing method
The invention relates to a display. The invention also relates to a method of manufacturing such a display. The invention aims to reduce the cost of manufacturing such a display and to facilitate its manufacture. The invention applies to the field of shelves, shelving and display units having the aim of presenting various objects or various samples. However, the invention could be applied in other fields.
In a particular previous embodiment, a display usually comprises a panel and at least one support. The panel can be attached to a substrate. For example, this substrate can be a wall. The support forms a plate which can be arranged perpendicular to a plane formed by the panel. For example, this support can be used to hold representative samples of articles intended for sale. To fix the support to the panel, the panel has at least one groove. This groove is intended to receive the support. However, the support is usually held in the groove by means of a profile. This profile is fixedly inserted in the groove. This profile generally forms a metal plate folded in the shape of a U. One of the ends of the U is folded towards the inside of the U. This folded end of the U allows the support to be inserted in this groove while hooking at the end folded over from the profile. To do this, the support also includes a folded rim intended to cooperate with the folded end of the profile so as to fix the support to the panel. For example, the support is inserted into the groove through the profile so that the support is positioned perpendicularly to a plane formed by the panel. The presence of such a profile has many drawbacks. In particular, the profile must be positioned in the groove so that this profile is fixedly embedded in the groove so that the support is held in a relatively fixed position relative to the panel. It is then necessary to plan to glue the profile in the groove or else to embed the profile in the groove using specific tools. Insertion and fixing this profile in the groove can lead to an increase in the cost of manufacturing such a display and make its manufacture complicated. In addition, this profile can be the cause of poor maintenance of the support on the panel. Indeed, the profile can dislodge from the groove due to the stresses exerted on the profile. For example, constraints may be the weight of the support and or the weight of the various objects placed on the same support. The folded end of the profile therefore risks deformation. The deformation of this folded end may cause the support to tilt relative to the plane formed by the panel so that the objects placed on this support are no longer retained by the support. Objects are then likely to slide on the support and fall from the support.
To solve these problems, the invention provides for making a display which does not require the use of a profile and for which the support is inserted directly into the groove provided for this purpose.
The invention more particularly provides a display comprising at least one fixing device and at least one support, the fixing device defining a slot which is produced specifically to receive the support directly. More specifically, this slot includes a recess intended to receive a folded edge of the support. This recess allows the support to be positioned with a plane formed by this support at least inclined relative to the plane formed by the fixing device to allow to retain on this support at least one object. To make this slot, the fixing device is formed by a first cleat and by a second cleat. This first cleat and this second cleat are connected to each other to form the slot. The first cleat and the second cleat each have a front face and a rear face. The first cleat and the second cleat are positioned with respect to each other so that the rear face of the first cleat is placed opposite the front face of the second cleat. The slot is then delimited by at least part of the rear face of the first cleat and by at least part of the front face of the second cleat. According to the invention, the front face or the rear face of one of these cleats is hollowed out by a recess while delimiting a heel. The support fits into the slot while placing in the recess and while being placed resting against the heel. To do this, the support has at one end a folded end intended to be received in the recess while being pressed against the heel. The subject of the invention is therefore a display unit comprising - at least one fixing device fixed to a substrate and delimiting a slot and,
At least one support which is cantilevered into the slot of the fixing device by a curved end relative to a plane formed by the support, characterized in that - the fixing device comprises a first cleat and a second cleat, the first cleat and the second cleat combine to form the slot in which the support is inserted,
The slot includes a recess to accommodate the curved end of the support, this recess defining a heel against which is intended to bear the curved end when this same curved end is inserted in this same recess.
To mount such a display, the invention provides to first produce at least one fixing device. To do this, the first stop and the second stop are positioned one after the other to form the slot. Then, the first cleat and the second cleat are glued or screwed onto a substrate. Finally, provision is made to place the folded rim of the support in the slot while interposing this rim in the recess provided for this purpose so that the support is positioned with a plane formed by this same support relatively perpendicular to the plane formed by the substrate. More particularly, the invention also relates to a method of manufacturing a display comprising - at least one fixing device fixed on a substrate and delimiting a slot and, - at least one support inserting in cantilever in the slot of the fixing device by a curved end with respect to a plane formed by the support, characterized in that it comprises the following steps: - at least one fixing device is formed by connecting a first cleat to a second cleat , the first cleat and the second cleat delimiting the slot, - the fixing device is fixed on the substrate, and - insert the support on the fixing device by placing a folded end of the support in the slot.

The fixing device 2 is intended to be fixed on a substrate 4. This substrate 4 can be a wall or a presentation support or a gallows. The support 3 can form a plate or a rod. This support 3 has a first end 26 and a second end 27. The first end 26 is close to the fixing device and the second end is far from the same device. The first end 26 is curved relative to a plane formed by the support 3. This first curved end 26 specifically fits into a slot 7 delimited by the fixing device 2. The second end 27 is left free. This support is inserted in cantilever in the slot 7 of the fixing device 2 so that the first end 26 is placed in the slot and the second end 27 is left free. According to the invention, the fastening device 2 comprises a first cleat 5 and a second cleat 6. The first cleat 5 and the second cleat 6 combine to form the slot 7. The slot 7 has a recess 21 to accommodate the curved end 26. This recess 21 also delimits a heel 25 against which is intended to bear the curved end 26 of the support 3. The first cleat 5 has a front face 8 and a rear face 9, FIG. 2. The second cleat 6 also includes a front face 10 and a rear face 11. The first cleat 5 and the second cleat 6 are positioned in such a way that the rear face 9 of the first cleat 5 is placed opposite the front face 10 of the second cleat 6 for form the slot 7. The first cleat 5 has an upper face 12 and a lower face 13. The second cleat 6 also has an upper face 14 and a lower face 15. The first cleat 5 and the second cleat 6 are positioned with their lower surface 14, 15 in pressing against the substrate 4 while aligning with one another.
La face arrière 9 du premier taquet est identique à la face arrière 11 du deuxième taquet 6.According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the first cleat 5 and the second cleat 6 are of identical shape to reduce the cost of manufacturing such a fixing device. The front face 8 of the first cleat 5 is identical to the front face 10 of the second cleat. The rear face 9 of the first cleat is identical to the rear face 11 of the second cleat 6.
Donc, la deuxième butée 23 est placée en appui contre la face arrière 9 du premier taquet 5.The front face 8 of the first cleat 5 is hollowed out from the lower face 13 to the upper face 12 of a first pocket 18 and a first recess 19. The first pocket 18 and the first recess 19 are hollowed out in a direction parallel to a plane formed by the substrate 4. The first recess 19 is dug deeper than the first pocket 18. Between the first pocket 18 and the lower face 13 is delimited a first stop 22. Between the first recess 19 and the upper face 12 is delimited a first heel 24. The first heel 24 is formed by being slightly set back relative to the first stop 22 and relative to the first pocket 18. The rear face 9 of the first cleat 5 delimits a first bump 16 to a location of the first cleat 5 close to the upper face 12. The second cleat 6 being of identical shape to the first cleat 5, the second cleat 6 has on its front face 10 in correspondence a second pocket 20, a second recess 21, a second stop 24 and a second heel 25. The second cleat 6 also has on its rear face 11 a second hump 17 near the upper face 14. The slot 7 according to the invention is obtained by joining the first cleat with the second cleat so that the rear face 9 of the first cleat 5 is placed opposite the front face 10 of the second cleat 6. Figure 2 shows the slot 7 thus obtained which has a U-shaped profile with a recess corresponding to the second recess 21 hollowed out from the front face 10 of the second cleat 6. This slot 7 delimits a first rim 28 and a second rim 29, the first rim and the second rim being connected to each other by a bottom 30, FIG. 1. The first rim 28 of the slot is formed by the face rear 9 of the first cleat 5. The second flange 29 is delimited by the front face 10 of the second cleat 6 at a place where the second pocket 20 is formed. The bottom 30 of the slot 7 is formed by the second stop 23 formed by the front face 10 of the second cleat 6. Preferably, the slot 7 is not open. Therefore, the second stop 23 is placed in abutment against the rear face 9 of the first cleat 5.
The slot 7 is preferably not through to facilitate the positioning of the lugs one after the other during the mounting of the display. In addition, the slot 7 is preferably not open to delimit a bottom 30 possibly allowing to position in abutment against this bottom or against the second stop 23 a board 31 in a perpendicular direction or in a direction inclined relative to the plane formed by the device 2, Figure 1.
The hump 16 tends to narrow an opening 32 in the slot near the upper face 12 of the first cleat 5. This hump 16 also allows the support to lean against it when the support is inserted into the slot as shown in FIG. 3a .
Thus, the support 3 can be in abutment against the second heel 25 and against the first bump 16 during the insertion of the support into the slot as shown in FIG. 3a. Or the support 3 can be in abutment against the second heel 25 and against the upper face 12 of the first cleat as shown in FIG. 3b. In the case where the support 3 is in abutment against the second heel 25 and against the second bump 16, the support has a single fold 33. The plane formed by the support is relatively aligned with a central axis 36 passing through the slot from the upper faces towards the lower faces of the fixing device. In the case where the support 3 is in abutment against the second heel 25 and against the upper face 12 of the first cleat, the support can form at the first end 26 a profile in the form of a staircase with two steps. A first step 34 is in abutment against the second heel 21 and a second step 35 is in abutment against the upper face 12 of the first cleat. In this example, the plane of the support 3 can be offset parallel to the central axis 36 passing through the slot 7. The support 3 can also include a stand 37 extending along the upper face 12 of the first cleat 5 and near the first end 26, Figures 3a and 3b. This stand 37 extends from the plane formed by the support 3 in the direction opposite to the slot 7. This stand 37 is shown in dotted lines in Figures 3a and 3b. A force exerted by the weight of the objects placed on the support can then be reflected not only at a location on the first end 26 of the support bearing against the second heel 25 but also along the crutch 37. Such a crutch 37 advantageously relieves the second heel by counterbalancing a force exerted by the support and by the objects placed on this support on the second heel against which the first end 26 of the support is supported. In particular, the second heel must resist a tearing force corresponding to the weight of the support as well as the weight of the objects placed on this support. This crutch allows the second heel to be relieved of a tearing force corresponding to a weight greater than the weight normally capable of being supported by the second heel. Each cleat can be fixed to the substrate 4 by glue. Or each cleat can be fixed to the substrate 4 by screwing a flat head screw 38 whose location in each of the cleats is shown in dotted lines in Figures 1 and 2. Such a flat head screw is inserted through the cleat to screw onto the substrate in another location provided for this purpose and shown with dotted lines in Figure 2. The screw is inserted into the substrate while aligning a head 39 of the screw with a plane formed by the upper face 12,14 of each of the cleats. The cleats can be fixed to each other by gluing the front face of a cleat against the rear face of another cleat. The tabs are glued to each other in such a way that they resist a tearing force corresponding to a force exerted by the support and by the objects placed on this same support. According to the invention, it is possible to have several fixing devices one after the other, FIG. 1. In this same example, one can have a first fixing device such as 2 and a second device fixing such as 43 one after the other. Thus, one obtains at a junction between each fixing device a slot 7 as previously described bounded by a rear face of a second cleat of a first device and by a front face of a first cleat of a second device fixing, the front face of the second cleat of the first device being placed opposite the rear face of the first cleat of the second fixing device.
To ensure that objects (not shown) do not fall from the support, provision can be made to tilt the support perpendicular to the plane formed by the upper face of a cleat. Alternatively, it is also possible to incline the support with the plane formed by the support inclined with respect to a plane perpendicular to the plane formed by the upper face of a cleat. To ensure that objects (not shown) do not fall from the support, provision can also be made to slightly incline the support relative to the plane of the support at a location 42 of the second end 27 of the support. The aim of this inclination is to retain any objects placed on the support. In one example, each cleat measures 25 mm in height and extends over 71 mm in length, each of the pockets measures 11 mm in height by 14 mm in length, each of the recesses measures 8 mm in height, each of the heels measures 2 mm. in height and each of the stops is 4 mm high by 7 mm long. Each of the bumps is made at a height of 20 mm from the plane formed by the underside of the corresponding cleat. The slot has an opening 32 of 8 mm in length which is the distance separating the hump from the heel. A height is measured along an axis parallel to the central axis 36 of the slot 7. A length is measured along an axis parallel to the plane formed by the underside of the cleat. A width of the cleat may vary depending on the applications that it is desired to carry out. A width is measured along an axis parallel to the plane formed by the underside of the cleat and perpendicular to the axis along which the length is measured. Each of the cleats can be formed by a wooden material in the form of agglomerate or else in the form of raw wood. Thus the cleat can be produced by milling while delimiting a front face and a rear face as previously described according to the invention. But each of the cleats could be made of a plastic material. Thus the cleat could be produced by molding.
The process for manufacturing such a display is as follows. At least one fixing device is formed by connecting the first cleat 5 to the second cleat 6. The slot 7 is thus delimited. Then the fixing device is fixed to the substrate using screws 38 or with glue. Then insert the support on the fixing device by placing the first folded end 26 of the support in the slot 7.
