Description

Description FLAMELESS HEATER Technical Field
[1] The present invention generally relates to a ϋameless heater for heating food by generating heat through a chemical reaction, and more specifically, to a iiameless heater consisting of a heating element bag that put some food in the middle part and which chemicals are attached to generate heat by reacting upon water on both sides. Background Art
[2] When food is heated, it is inserted into a container and the container is heated by using a burner. The reason why food is heated is to remove a problem of food pollution caused by germs and sanitary aspects, and moreover to give a better taste of food and help digestion as well as absorption.
[3] In order to heat food, heating equipments such as a burner, a heater and others should be equipped, but to carry such heating equipments is a nuisance. Particularly, it is more annoying to carry the heating equipments while conducting military operations. In addition, if one eats unheated food without warming it, the taste of food gets deteriorated due to starch aging, having difficulty in digestion and absorption. Especially, in case of eating food without warming it in the wintertime, the situations get worse. Thus, when soldiers are deficient in nutrition, their fighting power may weaken, causing a problem while conducting military operations. Furthermore, in general, it is prohibited to cook in the mountain owing to a possibility of forest fire. Thus, there is a lot of inconvenience when heating food by using heating equipment including a burner.
[4] To solve such problems, a technology of heating food by using chemicals such as magnesium-series heating aDoy that causes a heating reaction by reacting upon water has been suggested. In order that the chemicals can generate heat of reaction by reacting upon water, a bag where chemicals are contained within a iiameless heater should be equipped.
[5] To make the chemicals react upon water, there is a method of the chemicals reacting upon water by bursting a water bag when the water bag is equipped in a iiameless heater and food is heated, and a method of the chemicals reacting upon water by adding water to the iiameless heater while heating food without the water bag in the iiameless heater.
[6] In case of the latter method, there is a possibility of causing a problem when water is deficient for soldiers who conduct military operations, and generally heat may not be sufficiently applied to an opposite side since a heating bag is equipped on one side only.
[7] In case of inducing a reaction by bursting the bag where water reacting upon chemicals is contained, heat may not be continuously generated since water remaining in the bag cannot sufficiently react upon the chemicals. To solve such problem, there is a method of disposing the bag in slant way and discharging aU the water from the bag. This method can reduce a possibility of water boiling over. However, in this case, food can slant toward a bwer part by gravity. So, if the bwer part is made thicker, food in the bwer part may not be sufficiently heated. Particularly, this problem is mainly caused while heating rice.
[8] When preserving such iiameless heater, boxes where plural heaters are contained are piled up in warehouses in large quantities. At this point, in case of heaters of the boxes bcated in a bwer part, water bags of the heaters may be damaged by weight of the piled heaters. Furthermore, a lot of shock can be applied while transferring or distributing the heaters, damaging the water bags while transferring or distributing them. Thus, it many not use the heaters. Disclosure
[9] It is therefore an object of the present invention to provide a iiameless heater for combining both-sided heating bags in pocket shape, equally heating heated contents on both sides by inserting them into a pocket, and increasing thermal transmissibility by cbsely adhering the iiameless heater to the contents.
[10] It is another object of the present invention to provide a iiameless heater for preventing contents from being polluted by high-temperature vapor produced from heating bags, equally heating even when the iiameless heater is horizontally put, and easily heating the contents without easily damaging by outer shock with easy making.
[11] To accomplish the above object, the present invention comprises a iiameless heater, comprising: a first heating bag and a second heating bag in which the rest rim parts except a rim formed as an opening hde are fused/combined by heat and configure pocket shapes, and wherein the first heating bag and the second heating bag consist of an outer side composed of many layers and an inner side composed of many layers, respectively, and between the outer side and the inner side, comprising: a heating bag made of wrappers that pass liquid and air, and storing heating elements that produce heat by reacting upon liquid: a liquid bag forming wrappers consisting of many layers, storing liquid supplied to the heating bag, and among the plural layers, forming a layer contacted with rims of the outer side and the inner side with the same material of a layer whose outer side and inner side are contacted with each other so that the rims are united together on the outer side and the inner side; and a tearing band fixed to a surface of the liquid bag, and tearing the liquid bag: and wherein on one section of combined rim parts of the first heating bag and the second heating bag, vapor caused by a reaction between the heating elements and the liquid is discharged and a vapor discharging hde for exposing the tearing band is comprised. [21] The present invention wil now be described in detail with reference to exemplary preferred embodiments as illustrated in the accompanying drawings.
[22] Fig. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a iiameless heater in accordance with the present invention, and Fig. 2 is a sectional view of C-C of Fig. 1 of a first heating bag. Referring to Fig. 1 and Fig. 2, a iiameless heater(lOO) consists of a first heating bag(20) and a second heating bag(20') comprised in symmetrical way like shown in the drawing. The illustrated parts of the second heating bag(20') of Fig. 1 are illustrated as an interlayer sectional view to show an interlayer structure for the descriptive convenience. [23] Each of the heating bags(20,20') inserts a heating bag(21), a paper tissue(29), a tearing band(50), and a liquid bag(25) between an outer wrapper(lθ) and an inner wrapper(lθ'). And, a handle part(30) of the outer wrapper(lθ) is bnger than a handle part(30) of the inner wrapper(lθ'). That is, the handle part(30) of the inner wrapper(lθ') of the heating bags(20,20') reaches up to an A- A' line only, to be connected together, and the handle part of the outer wrapper is bnger than the A- A' line. Therefore, if the upper handle part(30) of the A- A' line is cut, the outer wrapper(lθ) may be torn and the inner wrapper(lθ') is connected on the A- A' line unlike the outer wrapper(lθ), thereby protruding the tearing band(50) outside.
[24] If the A- A' line part is cut, only the handle part(30) of the outer wrapper(lθ) is torn, and the inner wrapper(lθ') of the first heating bag(20) and the second heating bag(20') is connected together. Thus, the part up to the A- A' line where the inner wrapper(lθ') is connected can function as a boundary plate(70) for preventing liquid from moving between the first heating bag(20) and the second heating bag(20').
[25] Like shown in Fig. 2, the first heating bag(20) forms an inner space by overlapping and sealing outer rims of the inner wrapper(lθ') and the outer wrapper(lθ), and inserts the heating bag, the liquid bag, the tearing band(50), and the paper tissue into the inner space.
[26] With the same method, the second heating bag(20') is manufactured.
[27] Fig. 3 illustrates a cut sectional view of B-B' of a iiameless heater in accordance with the present invention illustrated in Fig. 1. Like shown in Fig. 3, the iiameless heater inserts a heating bag(21), a liquid bag(25), and a paper tissue(29) between an inner wrapper(lθ') and an outer wrapper(lθ), and attaches a tearing band(50) that can burst the liquid bag(25) to a surface of the liquid bag(25). The tearing band(50) is attached to surfaces of two liquid bags(25) through hdes formed in an A- A' line of a handle part.
[28] The heating bag(21) is a place for preserving solid-phase heating elements, being made of flexible natural fiber non- woven fabric, natural piip non- woven fabric or foam resin sheets to have better preservation and mobile features. The heating bag(21) passes liquid and air, and preserves the solid-phase heating elements. So that the heating elements of the heating bag(21) can generate the same heat within a certain area without slanting toward one side, they are distinguished into plural eels like shown in Fig. 1 through Fig. 3. If the heating elements of the heating bag(21) are not divided into the eels while reacting upon liquid, they may slant toward the one side within the heating bag(21), causing entire heated contents not to be heated. Thus, by dividing the heating bag(21) into the eels, it can overcome such problem.
[29] The solid-phase heating elements are manufactured by mixing magnesium(Mg), iron(Fe), etc. In case of the solid-phase heating elements, magnesium and iron are put in a bal miling machine to conduct a mϋing operation, and are mixed together.
[30] The liquid bag(25) is a means for storing a material that generates heat of reaction by causing a chemical reaction with the heating elements of the heating bag(21), containing a 0.5-20% NaCl aqueous sdution. The reason why liquid is made from the NaCl aqueous sdution is because an electrdyte consisting of water and NaCl promotes a reaction between the heating elements of the heating bag(21) and water, thereby causing a heating reaction better. Besides, liquid may be frozen in the wintertime, but in this case, by using the NaCl aqueous sdution, a freezing point can be bwered. Thus, the liquid can be used in winter as wel. If there is no possibility of the liquid getting frozen, it is possible to put dried salt into the heating elements of the heating bag(21) instead of adding NaCl to the liquid. Except NaCl, MgCl, CaCl, and KC1 can be used as wel.
[31] So that the heating bag(21) can react upon the liquid, the liquid bag(25) is burst to permeate into the heating bag(21), causing a chemical reaction. To do this, by attaching the tearing band(50) to an outer surface of the liquid bag(25) and piiing the tearing band(50), the liquid bag(25) is torn and discharges liquid materials.
[32] In case the liquid materials are discharged from the liquid bag(25) and react upon the heating elements, if the liquid boils over, an amount of liquid may gets reduced, thus the reaction may not occur sufficiently. To prevent this situation, the paper tissue(29) is inserted between the liquid bag(25) and the heating bag(21), so that the liquid discharged from the liquid bag(25) can be stored in the tissue for a predetermined time in certain amount. Accordingly, it prevents the liquid from overflowing and from reacting within a relatively short time by reacting upon the heating elements at a time, thereby uniformly continuing the heating process.
[33] Furthermore, the tissue can absorb the liquid in the similar way to a wick, and sbwly supplies the absorbed liquid to the entire heating bag, so that the liquid can react upon the heating elements. It is desirable to configure the tissue to be the same as the heating bag(21) in size.
[34] The wrappers pack the liquid bag(25), the heating bag(21), and the paper tissue(29) to make them in bag type, and define the handle part(30) on one side of the wrappers.
[35] The handle part(30) is made in the same type in the first heating bag(20) and the second heating bag(20'), being united together. The tearing band(50) that bursts the liquid bag(25) of the first heating bag(20) and the liquid bag(25) of the second heating bag(20') is exposed outside.
[36] If the certain part(A-A' line of Fig. 1) of the handle part(30) is cut, the tearing band(50) is exposed and the liquid bag(25) is burst by piling the exposed tearing band(50), reacting upon the heating elements. Vapor created while reacting is discharged through the cut handle part(30).
[37] The tearing band(50) is a means for discharging liquid by bursting the liquid bag(25) of the iiameless heater(lOO), being attached to surfaces of the liquid bag(25) of the first heating bag(20) and the liquid bag(25) of the second heating bag(20'). Therefore, if the tearing band(50) is puled, the surface of the liquid bag(25) is torn to discharge the liquid.
[38] The liquid bag(25) is configured by uniting rims of the wrappers consisting of many layers, having a predetermined space inside. The liquid bag(25) is formed in 5 fdds, in which a first layer and a fifth layer consist of LLDPE(linear-low density pdyethylene), a second layer is NY(nybn), a third layer is AL(a minium foil), and a fourth layer consists of EZ.NY(easy-cut nynbn).
[39] The LLDPE buffers a shock, and is adhered by heat. Thus, it prevents the liquid bag from easily bursting. The LLDPE forming the first layer is about 20-40 μm in thickness, and the LLDPE configuring the fifth layer is about 60-80 μm in thickness.
[40] The NY tends to be easily torn, thus the liquid bag can be easily torn as wel. The NY is about 10-20 μm in thickness, but it is not essential to equip the NY when configuring the wrappers, thus being omitted.
[41] The AL has a damp-proof property, preventing the liquid contained in the liquid bag(25) from being naturaly discharged outside. Therefore, only when the liquid bag is torn, water contained in the liquid bag can react upon chemicals. The AL is about 5-15 μm in thickness.
[42] The EZ.NY is a material that has complemented an easy-to-tear property of the NY, having a property of easily tearing the liquid bag in one direction but preventing the liquid bag from being easily torn in the rest directions. By using the EZ.NY, the liquid bag can be easily torn with a little power in a specific direction to which the tearing band(50) is attached, but is not easily torn in other direction. The EZ.NY is about 10-20 μm. in thickness.
[43] After fdding the wrappers, in half, of the liquid bag configured like above so that the fifth LLDPE can be curved inward, seal the rest rims except one side to configure them in bag type, inject the liquid, and seal the rest parts. [44] The liquid bag(25) configured like above is resistant against shock, being easily torn by attaching the tearing band to the EZ.NY. An inner layer and an outer layer of the liquid bag(25) consist of the LLDPE, thereby easily manufacturing the liquid bag(25) in bag type as wel as easily attaching the liquid bag(25) to the wrappers.
[45] The wrappers are composed of two sheets of the outer wrapper(lθ) and the inner wrapper(lθ'). The inner wrapper(lθ') is a part where contents are contacted, and the outer wrapper(lθ) is exposed outside.
[46] On the basis of a surface contacted with the heating bag(21), the inner wrapper(lθ') is sequentialy made of the LLDPE having about 20-40 μm thickness, the AL having about 5-15 μm thickness, the NY having about 10-20 μm thickness, and CPP(cast pdypropylene) having about 50-70 μm thickness. And, from an outer surface, the outer wrapper(lθ) is sequentialy made of PET(pdyester) having about 10-20 μm thickness, AL having about 5-15 μm thickness, NY having about 10-20 μm thickness, and LLDPE having about 50-70 μm thickness. The heating bag(21) and the liquid bag(25) are inserted between the inner wrapper(lθ') and the outer wrapper(lθ).
[47] Fig. 4a and Fig. 4b are diagrams showing an embodiment of a manufacturing process of a iiameless heater in accordance with the present invention. Referring to Fig. 4a and Fig. 4b, a flameless heater(lOO) in accordance with the present invention sequentialy locates a heating bag(21), a paper tissue(29), and a liquid bag(25) on an inner wrapper(lθ') like shown in Fig. 4a, and seals rims by using a sealing machine. At this time, like shown in Fig. 4a, so that a part where the liquid bag(25) is connected with a tearing band(50) cannot be fused while fusing the rims, the part where the liquid bag(25) is connected with the tearing band(50) is fdded inward the rims. Then, locate the outer wrapper(lθ) on the inner wrapper(lθ') in an arrow direction.
[48] Like shown in Fig. 4b, after overlapping a first heating bag(20) with a second heating bag(20') by fdding the flameless heater(lOO) based on a handle part, the rims are sealed with the sealing machine. On this occasion, the inner wrapper(lθ') is contacted together. Since the contacted surfaces of the inner wrapper(lθ') are composed of CPP, it is not adhered to each other even though heat is applied by the sealing machine. Thus, the contacted inner wrapper(lθ') is not adhered to each other during the sealing process. Moreover, an opposite side of the CPP of the inner wrapper(lθ') and an inner side of the outer wrapper(lθ) are composed of LLDPE, being united together when heat is applied by the sealing machine, thereby bonding rims of the inner wrapper(lθ') and the outer wrapper(lθ). Among the rims of the first heating bag(20) and the second heating bag(20'), so that the rest rims except a rim region used as a content injection hde can be bonded together between CPPs, high heat is applied to form the packet-shaped flameless heater having the content injection hde.
[49] Moreover, since a surface where the liquid bag(25) is attached to the wrappers(10,10') is composed of LLDPE, it can be easily attached to each other during the sealing process. Like described so far, so that the part where the liquid bag(25) is connected with the tearing band(50) cannot be bonded with the wrappers(10,10'), the rims are sealed by using the sealing machine while a cut part is fdded. Therefore, a part connected by the tearing band(50) is not sealed and nor is attached to the wrappers(10,10'), thereby tearing the liquid bag(25).
[50] The flameless heater(lOO) can transmit heat in better way by being formed in packet type and adhering heated contents to the flameless heater(lOO). In case of other existing product, it has a problem of vapor caused by solid heating elements and liquid chemical reactions being directly contacted with food. However, the present invention forms the flameless heater(lOO) in pocket type, indirectly heating contents of food without contacting vapor with the contents. The wrappers of the flameless heater(lOO) are waterproof, heatproof, and impact resistant.
[51] Fig. 5 is a cut sectional view of D-D' direction of Fig. 4b. Referring to Fig. 5, a flameless heater(lOO) in accordance with the present invention forms heating bags(21) on both sides of heated contents, heating the contents on both sides, thereby increasing heating efficiency more. After beating the flameless heater(lOO) in horizontal direction, if the contents are inserted and are heated by pulling a cut line, liquid contained in the heating bag bcated in upper direction may flow down to the heating bag bcated in bwer direction. For instance, while the first heating bag is bcated on the top and the second heating bag is bcated bebw to put the flameless heater in horizontal direction, if the contents are inserted into a pocket-shaped inner space and the cut line is piled, the liquid contained in the first heating bag may flow down the second heating bag. In this case, the liquid can rapidly flow into the second heating bag to react within a short time. On the contrary, the first heating bag may not be heated sufficiently due to liquid deficiency. To sdve such problem, like shown in Fig. 5, the present invention enables a handle part of the inner wrapper(lθ') to function as a boundary plate(70) by connecting the handle part up to an A- A' line, thereby preventing the liquid contained in the heating bag bcated on the top from flowing into the heating bag bebw by boiling over. Therefore, water cannot be deficient in the first heating bag and the second heating bag, equaly heating the contents on both sides [52] Fig. 6 is a perspective view showing a tearing band of a flameless heater in accordance with the present invention, and Fig. 7 is a diagram showing that a tearing band is combined with a water bag. Referring to Fig. 6 and Fig. 7, a tearing band(50) is in predetermined thickness, and a head part(51) thereof is in 'T' shape. At an end(52) of the tearing band(50), certain patterns are defined, to prevent a sliding action while hdding the tearing band(50) with hand.
[53] Two thin branches(53) are defined in a lower part spaced from the 'T'-shaped head part(51) at certain intervals by being symmetrical to a body of the tearing band(50). The branches(53) slant toward a head, and are extended.
[54] A round-shaped groove(54) is defined in a rim part of a liquid bag(25), to make the end(52) of the tearing band firstly enter the groove(54). Thus, the tearing band(50) is combined with the liquid bag(25). As a result, the combined tearing band(50) cannot be out of the groove(54) in any direction by the branches(53) and the 'T'-shaped head part(51).
[55] In case the tearing band(50) is attached to the liquid bag(25) by using an adhesive, if the temperature falls in the wintertime, an adhered part can get hard. So, if the tearing band is strongly piled, it may be cut off. However, if the combining method in accordance with the present invention is applied, the part combined with the liquid bag(25) is not cut off.
[56] So that the liquid bag(25) can be easily torn by using the tearing band(50), a torn part that is torn in predetermined length is defined in a part where a groove is formed. In this state, if the tearing band(50) is piled, the liquid bag(25) is torn in the piling direction.
[57] Fig. 8 is a perspective view showing an embodiment of containing a flameless heater in accordance with the present invention in a container. Referring to Fig. 8, a flameless heater(lOO) in accordance with the present invention comprises a wrapping sack(200) so as to increase thermal efficiency by wrapping the flameless heater(lOO) and to enable one to easily eat food. The wrapping sack(200) is composed of a paper box into which the flameless heater(lOO) can be inserted. A predetermined size of takeout hde(150) is defined on an upper end of one side so that a handle part(30) of the flameless heater(lOO) can be exposed outside the wrapping sack(200). Except the flameless heater(lOO), tods(spoons, chopsticks, forks, etc.) that are not ϋustrated in the drawing can be also equipped in the wrapping sack(200).
[58] One embodiment of using the flameless heater(lOO) in accordance with the present invention by using the wrapping sack(200) wl be described as fdfows. The flameless heater(lOO) having inserted contents is built in the wrapping sack. At this time, the handle part(30) of the flameless heater(lOO) is exposed through the takeout hde(150) of the wrapping sack. When using, by tearing the handle part(30) extended through the takeout hde(150) abng a tearing line, it can expose a tearing band(50) outside. After that, by piling the tearing band(50) to burst a liquid bag(25) connected with the tearing band(50), liquid and heating elements conduct a chemical reaction to generate heat, thereby heating the contents inserted into the flameless heater(lOO).
[59] After piling the tearing band(50), by rdling up the handle part(30) to put it into the wrapping sack(200) again, vapor discharged through the handle part(30) is supplied inside the wrapping sack again. Then, take out the contents from the flameless heater(lOO) after heating them for about 20 minutes by covering the wrapping sack(200), tear down content wrappers, and eat food by putting the contents in the wrapping sack(200).
[60] By preventing the vapor caused in the flameless heater(lOO) from being discharged outside with the use of the wrapping sack(200), the user can safely use the present invention. Furthermore, it is possible to continuously leave the vapor inside the wrapping sack(200), thereby more increasing a heating effect. Industrial Applicability
[61] According to a flameless heater in accordance with the present invention, it is avauatie to heat food on both sides and effectively use it even when water is deficient, because a liquid bag is equipped therein, so there is no need to add water.
[62] In addition, since the liquid bag is strong to impact, it is not easily damaged by outer shock, and furthermore it is easily torn in certain direction, thereby easily discharging water from the liquid bag.
[63] And, because a side where the liquid bag contacted with an inner wrapper and an outer wrapper is defined is made of a material that can conduct a thermal fusion process at a time, it can reduce a fabrication process.
[64] Also, by inserting a tearing band into a hde where the liquid bag is defined, the tearing band is not easily cut off, and moreover, since a part where the liquid bag is connected with the tearing band is strongly connected, it can prevent the tearing band from being separated from the liquid bag. Accordingly, even when the temperature fals in the wintertime, the tearing band is not separated from the liquid bag.
[65] In addition, contents can be heated by beating heating elements in horizontal direction, uniformly maintaining thickness of the contents by gravity. Therefore, it is possible to uniformly heat the entire contents. Also, since two bags of the heating elements are isdated from each other by a boundary plate, an inner wrapper, it can prevent liquid of a heating bag located on the top from flowing into a heating bag located bebw even when the heating elements are located in horizontal direction. Due to such boundary plate, it is avaiktie to uniformly maintain the heating process, having a superior effect of heating cereals such as rice owing to excelent heating efficiency. [66] It is to be understood that the above described embodiments of the invention are illustrative only, and that modifications thereof may occur to those skied in the art. Accordingly, this invention is not to be regarded as limited to the embodiments disdosed herein, but is to be limited only as defined by the appended claims.
