Abstract

This invention relates to a modified polymeric material in the form of polyimide, which polyimide is surface oxyfluorinated and has improved wettability. The invention further relates to surface oxyfluorinated substrates such as optical fibres suitable for use in sensors and to composite materials incorporating the modified polymeric material.
