Abstract

The invention relates to an organic light-emitting diode (OLED) with an improved extraction efficiency, i.e. the probability with which a generated photon (7) can be disengaged from the diode and thus be identified. This is achieved by the incorporation of a light disengaging structural layer located between the substrate and the anode.
