- the notebook PC 100 C has a plurality of the same or different media cards 300 A and 300 B, with the media card adapter 200 C stored in the notebook PC 100 C. Operability has been improved to allow them to escape independently.
- the function expansion device 400 is connected to an electronic device embodied as a notebook PC 100 D via a USB cable 500.
- the same reference numerals as those in FIG. 1 denote the same members, and a duplicate description will be omitted.
- the function expansion device 400 may be a part of the electronic device 100D instead of being separate from the electronic device 100D.
- Notebook PC 100D has no PC card slot 140 and media card slots 142 and 144, but instead has a USB connector 180.
- the notebook PC 100D has a SCSI connector or another type of connector instead of the USB connector 180, and uses a SCSI cable (not shown) instead of the function expansion device 400 and the USB cable 500. It may be connected by understanding.
- the function expansion device 400 has a front face 410, a side face 420, a top face 330, and a back face 450.

- the function expansion device 400 that expands the functions of the notebook PC 100D includes a plurality of media cards 300A and 300B of the same or different types, and a media card adapter 200 expands the functions. The operability is improved because it can be inserted and removed independently while stored in the device 400.
- the function expansion device 400 may be configured to have the same operation and effect as the notebook PCs 100A to 100C.
- the media card insertion / removal window may be provided at the bottom of an electronic device or a function expansion device.
- the function expansion medium is not limited to the media card.
- the present invention it is possible to independently remove a plurality of same or different media cards while the media card adapter is housed in the electronic device or the function expansion device.
