Abstract

The invention concerns a label with multiple data designed to be affixed by adhesive on the outer wall of a container, receptacle or the like (8), containing a particular product, consisting of at least two superimposed leaflet (1, 2) each bearing data on at least one of the surfaces, the rear leaflet (2) being adapted to be fixed through its entire surface against said receiving wall. The invention is characterised in that the front leaflet (1) has a first edge arranged such that the front (1) and rear (2) leaflets are, when the label is fixed, pressed one against the other and the front leaflet (1) has at least a tear strip (7).

Description

MULTI-INFORMATIVE LABEL AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

The present invention relates to a multi-informative label and, more generally to an information medium of the label type, attached to a container, a container, any packaging containing or containing any product, food or not. , and consisting of a plurality of sheets each carrying information.

It is already known to provide receptacles such as bottles or the like with added elements in addition to the conventional label or labeling, and consisting of additional labels or counter-labels or of an information medium of more or less structure. complex, such as a small booklet or a structure cut out of cardboard, secured by various means to the container.

Generally, these reported elements carry information linked more or less directly to the product contained in the container.

These systems are not practical and are expensive because of their nature and their mode of implementation.

The present invention aims to propose a single simple multi-informative means combining the various functions played separately by known devices which all lead to dividing the useful space on the container between an area intended for conventional and compulsory labeling and another area assigned to an additional display of information.

To this end, the subject of the invention is a multi-informative label intended to be fixed by adhesive on the external wall of a container, container or the like, containing or enclosing any product, consisting of a superposition of at least two sheets each bearing on at least one of the faces information, the rear sheet being capable of being fixed by its entire surface against said receiving wall, characterized in that the front sheet has a first edge arranged so that the front and rear sheets are, when the label is in place , pressed against each other, and in that the front sheet has along a second edge opposite to said first edge, a tear strip.

According to a preferred embodiment, said first edge of the front sheet is extended by an overhanging part of the rear sheet, this part being capable of being fixed by adhesive on said receiving wall and being separated from the rest of the sheet by a fold line can also allow possible separation.

The label can have an outline of any shape and size, depending in particular on the nature of the container, for example a glass or plastic bottle containing a liquid product, food or not, or even a metal box containing a food can or any liquid.

According to a preferred embodiment, the label has a generally rectangular shape, the projecting part of the front sheet extending for example along one of the side edges of the label. Advantageously, along the opposite edge is formed in the front sheet a detachable vertical strip separated from the rest of the sheet by a first line of least resistance, said detachable strip being adjacent to the rear sheet and separated from the latter by a second line of least resistance.

To facilitate the detachment of said strip, the latter is advantageously provided with a transverse thread of lesser resistance delimiting a detachment tab.

The label can of course include more than two superimposed sheets, for example three sheets, the third being interposed between said front sheet and said rear sheet and integral with the latter in line with a fold line. Thus, one obtains a label formed in one piece folded into three overlapping flaps.

The label can also include four or five sheets, or even six sheets, superimposed. In general, the so-called rear sheet is flanked along one of its edges of the so-called front sheet and, along an opposite edge, of successive sheets No. 3, 4, 5 or 6, which are at the following, separated by fold lines and either folded or rolled in an accordion so that the stacking of the sheets forms a thin, flat assembly, with the dimensions of the said sheet before which preferably has the function of a conventional label, for example a bottle of wine.

As a variant, the front sheet may be extended beyond the rear sheet and adjoining another sheet folded between the front and rear sheets, the part of this other sheet overflowing the rear sheet being coated with an adhesive, and possibly being able to be extended by one or more other accordion folded or rolled sheets.

The other information available on the label can be found on the inside of the front sheet, on the outside of the back sheet and on both sides of the additional sheets.

The tearing of the detachable strip releases the front sheet which can then be opened like a page of a book, by pivoting along said fold line of its part projecting from the rear sheet. Any intermediate sheets are then freely accessible and can unfold or unfold.

The invention also relates to a process for producing such labels, more particularly, although not exclusively, intended for the labeling of bottles of wines or the like.

More specifically, the object of the invention is a method of producing a multi-informative label in one piece and ^' consisting of a front sheet articulated on a rear sheet along one side of the label , the rear sheet being or not integral with one or more intermediate sheets, from a paper support having a sizing face and a printing face, characterized in that the printing of the exposed face, after installation , the front sheet is made on the gluing face of said sheet, while on the side opposite to the gluing face of the rear sheet are made a printing using preferably opacifying ink and coating with an overprint varnish.

Such a label is more particularly intended for a chain or mechanical installation. According to another embodiment, the front sheet has an edge facing an edge of the rear sheet, the two facing edges being linked by a bead of adhesive.

Other characteristics and advantages will emerge from the description which follows of embodiments of labels according to the invention, description given by way of example only and with reference to the appended drawings in which:

In Figure 1, there is shown a label according to the invention, of rectangular format, type label of wine bottles for example.

The label comprises two rectangular sheets capable of overlapping, respectively a sheet 1 said before because intended to carry the conventional information of a label and therefore necessarily and in all cases visible when the label is placed on the bottle and a sheet 2 said rear intended to be fixed by adhesive on the bottle.

The two sheets 1, 2 are secured to the right of a fold line 3 defining for example the left vertical edge of the label, this line also having less resistance to allow subsequent separation as will be seen below.

According to the invention, the front sheet 1 projects beyond the rear sheet 2, to the right, for example, of the right vertical edge 4 of this sheet 2.

The projecting part 5 of the sheet 1 has for example a shape of a narrow rectangular strip separated from the rest of the sheet 1 by a fold line 6.

In the embodiment illustrated in FIG. 1, the front sheet 1 also includes on its left flank a narrow rectangular strip 7, for example identical to the strip 5 and separated from the rest of the sheet 1 by a line 8 of less resistance.

Finally, in the upper part of the strip 7, a transverse thread 9 of less resistance is formed, delimiting a triangular tab 1 0 for detachment. The label (1, 2) is in one piece of suitable material such as paper, cardboard, plastic, metallic, flexible film suitable for bonding or any other attachment to a flat or curved support of any kind, according to the intended uses.

FIG. 2 illustrates a label E of the type of FIG. 1 in place on a bottle of wine B for example.

The front sheet 1 occupies the entire visible side of the label and carries all the necessary or useful traditional information. The label E is stuck on the bottle, on the one hand, by the back sheet

1, the entire face of which faces towards the bottle is fixed by conventional bonding means and in the usual manner and, on the other hand, by the protruding strip 5 of the front sheet 1, the rear face of said strip 5 being also in its entirety stuck on bottle B.

The labels E are handled and put in place by conventional means, the labels being individualized and stored in the folded state, the coating of glue or adhesive being carried out in the known manner on the rear face of the label, the two sheets 1, 2 are pressed one on the other. When we want to access the information carried by the internal face of the sheet 1 and the front face of the sheet 2, it suffices to remove the tab 10 (FIG. 2) which makes it possible to easily detach the tear strip 7, lines 3 and 8 being lines of least resistance. Then, the sheet 1 is deployed (Figure 3) by pivoting to the right of line 6 in the manner of a book page.

It should be noted that the position of the parts 5 and 7 of the label E could be reversed, the detachable strip 7 being to the right of the label and the sheet 1 opening towards the left of the bottle and no longer towards the right as in FIG. 3. As a variant, the tear strip could be, as illustrated in 7 ′ in FIG. 1, adjoining line 6. In this case, after removal of the strip 7 ′, the sheet, the sheet deploys by pivoting around line 3. The tear strip could also be always vertical but at a distance from both lines 3 and 6, for example in the central zone of the label, the sheet 1 dividing after removal of the strip into two half-sheets by pivoting around lines 3 and 6 respectively.

According to yet another variant, in the case of surface for affixing flat labels, it is possible to provide in the front sheet 1 several tear strips parallel and side by side, arranged horizontally. FIG. 4 illustrates a variant label with three sheets, namely a front sheet 1 adjoining a rear sheet 2, itself extended by a third sheet 1 2, in the same format as sheet 2 and interposed between sheets 1 and 2.

The sheet 1 2 is free and is simply articulated on the rear sheet 2 along the edge 4 of the latter. When the label of FIG. 4 is in place, for example on a bottle, it has strictly the same appearance as the label of FIG. 2.

The deployment of the sheet 1 (FIG. 5) releases the sheet 1 2 which can pivot around the fold line 4 (merged with the line 6) to reveal the information on the two sides of the sheet 1 2 as well as on the visible side of the sheet 2 and that, of course, the back side of sheet 1.

Line 4 can be a line of least resistance allowing total and clean detachment of the sheet 1 2 if desired. For this purpose, the line 4, as well as the fold line 3 and that the lines 6 and 8, can advantageously be provided with aligned micro-perforations. Optionally, the sheet 1 2 can be extended on its free edge 1 3 then acting as a fold line, or even a line of least resistance, by a fourth sheet shown in dashed lines at 1 4 in FIG. 5 and of the same format as the sheet 1 2.

An even greater number of sheets, five, six or more, can be provided by being attached to the edge 4 of the rear sheet 2 and by being folded in accordion as illustrated in FIG. 5 or rolled.

In general, the label according to the invention is in one piece and consists of sheets one after the other.

The outline of the label can be arbitrary, rectangular, square, polygonal, curvilinear, etc. Along one side or part of the outline, the sheet says front (1) and the sheet says rear (2) are integral and articulated, or even detachable, however that on at least one other side or at least one other part of said contour, the so-called front sheet (1) is in partial overflow from the rear sheet (2), the intermediate sheets, if there are, such as the sheets 1 2 and 14 of FIGS. 4 and 5, having a format preferably but not necessarily similar to that of the back sheet 2. In the embodiment of Figure 4, the sheets 1 and 2 are articulated along the left vertical edge, while the front sheet 1 extends beyond the rear sheet 2 on the right vertical edge of the label.

The arrangement can of course be reversed as for the embodiment of FIG. 2.

Similarly, the articulation between the sheets 1 and 2 could be along the upper or lower horizontal edge and the protruding strip 5 in the lower or upper part of the label provided that a detachable strip is provided, in opposition to the strip protruding from the front sheet 1 for the deployment of the latter.

The positioning variants of the tear strip 7 of the embodiment of FIG. 1 obviously apply to the embodiment of FIG. 4.

FIG. 6 illustrates another variant embodiment of the label in FIG. 1, according to which the strip 5 of the front sheet 1 is notched at 1 5 to reveal an extension 1 6 of the same dimensions of the rear sheet 2.

Once the label is in place, the strip 5 is completed by the part 1 6, but the two parts of this strip can be identified by a color code or specific information indicating that behind the sheet 1, there are other information to discover.

FIG. 7 illustrates the same principle applied to a label of the type of FIG. 4 with three sheets respectively 1, 2, and 1 2, the two non-visible sheets 2 and 1 2 being indicated by parts, respectively 1 7 and 1 8 integral with said sheets and appearing in notches provided for this purpose, namely 1 9 in the strip 7 detachable from sheet 1 and 20 in sheet 1 2.

The principle of FIG. 7 is applicable to the label of FIG. 1, the notch formed in the tear strip 7 showing a part of the rear sheet 2.

It should be noted that in the label of FIG. 7, the tear strip 7 could be in any other place, for example adjoining line 6. Of course, the numbers, shapes, dimensions and local locations in the label of said cooperating notches or extensions can vary to a large extent.

According to another variant, the label may include a front sheet 1 which is not overflowing from the back sheet 2. For this purpose, the front sheet 1 has an edge facing an edge of the back sheet 2, the two edges being linked, to the manufacture of the label, by an adhesive bead.

FIG. 8 illustrates such an embodiment. There is shown in 1 the front sheet with its detachable strip 7 delimited by the line of least resistance 8 and the fold line 3 of separation between the front sheet 1 and the rear sheet 2, the two other opposite edges of these two sheets 1 , 2 being joined and linked by an adhesive bead 21 running over the entire height of the label.

FIG. 9 illustrates a variant in which the rear sheet 2 is extended, in line with the adhesive bead 21 binding the sheets 1 and 2, by a first internal sheet 1 2, itself extended by a second internal sheet 1 4, the sheets 1, 1 2 and 1 4 being folded in accordion.

It should be noted that these same sheets could be arranged rolled up. In 7, is designated the detachable strip of the front sheet 1, this strip being able, here too, to be placed in another place, for example, adjoining the cord 21

FIG. 10 represents a label according to FIG. 9, the sheet 1 being deployed, after detachment of the strip 7, which can also be placed there, for example, adjoining the cord 21. Figure 1 1 illustrates yet another variant according to which the front sheet 1 is extended, opposite its edge 3 of articulation on the rear sheet 2, by a part 5 projecting from the rear sheet 2, which part 5 is itself extended by another sheet 22 folded between the front sheet 1 and the rear sheet 2 and itself extended by yet another sheet 23 (or more), said additional sheets (22,23) being folded in accordion or rolled . The part 24 of the sheet 22 which projects beyond the rear sheet 2 is coated with an adhesive, this part 24 being delimited by a line 25 opposite the line 4 and ensuring the bonding of the front sheet 1 on the label support.

In 7 is shown the tear strip for the front sheet 1. This strip 7 could be placed in another location, for example in juxtaposition to part 5.

Preferably, the sheet 22 does not extend opposite the tear strip 7. This gives labels which have the same thickness on their two opposite lateral edges (two sheets). This facilitates flat storage of stacked labels which remain horizontal, which would not be the case if one of the edges of the labels had a thickness different from that of the other edge.

For the same reasons, the storage of such pre-adhesive labels and deposited on a silicone strip in a roll gives a symmetrical roll. In all the embodiments described above, the tab 1 0 can be replaced or supplemented by an associated associated element having the same function of assisting in gripping the tear strip. This element could be for example, a strip, a zipper, a cord or the like, positioned inside the label projecting at the height of the tear strip and ensuring easy opening. There is shown at 26 in FIG. 7 such an element constituted by a strip inserted between the sheets 1 and 1 2, glued to the sheet 1 and protruding with an freely accessible end at the height of the part 1 8. In the case of the mode for carrying out FIGS. 8 and 9 this element could be a wire incorporated in the adhesive bead 21, the tear strip being attached to this bead 21.

Finally, the various sheets of the label according to the invention can carry all kinds of information linked or not to each other as well as to the product contained in the bottle, the container, the container, etc. provided with said label. and be individualized by all the graphics, colors, etc. It should be noted that a flat electronic chip can be placed inside the label, on one of the faces of a sheet for the purposes of, for example, traceability or control The invention also relates to a process for producing such labels, in particular labels as shown in the drawings and suitable for chain or mechanical installation.

To this end, the subject of the invention is a method for producing a multi-informative label in one piece and consisting of a front sheet articulated on a rear sheet 2 along one side 3 of the label , the rear sheet 2 being or not integral with one or more intermediate sheets 1 2, 14, from a paper support having a sizing face and a printing face, characterized in that the printing of the exposed side, after installation, of the front sheet 1 is produced on the gluing side of said sheet 1, while on the side opposite to the gluing side of the rear sheet 2, an impression is made using an ink preferably opacifying and coating with an overprint varnish.

In such a label, the face exposed after installation is, as is the face of the rear sheet 2 stuck on the bottle B, on the sizing face of the support paper. It is known in fact that this bonding face has a physical appearance (more matte and rough) different from that (smoother) of the face intended for printing.

This makes it possible in particular to produce self-adhesive labels stored on a roll.

Furthermore, the use of an opacifying ink for producing a print on the exposed face of the back sheet 2 and of a coating of an overprint varnish on this same side, on the one hand, avoids , the bonding of the laminated sheet on the back sheet and, on the other hand, makes it possible to carry out a printing which does not appear on the exposed face of the label in place.

In the absence of such a varnish, the adhesive of the gluing face of the rear sheet 2 would risk migrating through the latter.

It should be noted that it is possible to reproduce on the exposed side of the rear sheet 2 the informative content of the exposed side (front sheet 1) of the label, thus satisfying the regulations for labeling wine, stating that the support of this informative content must necessarily adhere by its entire surface to the container.

Claims

1. Multi-informative label intended to be fixed by adhesive on the external wall of a container, container or the like (B), containing or enclosing any product, consisting of a superposition of at least two sheets (1, 2) bearing each on at least one of the faces of the information, the rear sheet (2) being capable of being fixed by its entire surface against said receiving wall, characterized in that the front sheet (1) has a first edge arranged so that the front (1) and rear (2) sheets are, when the label is in place, pressed against each other and in that the front sheet (1) has at least one tear strip (7 ).

Label according to claim 1, characterized in that said first edge of the front sheet (1) is extended by a part (5) projecting from the rear sheet (2), this part being capable of being fixed by adhesive on said receiving wall and being separated from the rest of the sheet (1) by a fold line (6) which can also allow possible separation.

Label according to claim 1, characterized in that said first edge of the front sheet (1) is extended by a part (5) projecting from the rear sheet (2) adjoining another sheet folded between the front sheets (1) and rear (2), the part of this other sheet projecting from the rear sheet (2) being capable of being fixed by adhesive on said receiving wall, said other sheet being optionally extended by one or more other sheets folded in accordion or rolled .

4. Label according to claim 1, characterized in that said first edge of the front sheet (1) is opposite an edge of the rear sheet (2), the two facing edges being linked by a bead of adhesive (21 ).

5. Label according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that said tear strip (7) adjoins said first edge of the front sheet (1).

6. Label according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that said tear strip (7) adjoins another edge of the front sheet (1).

7. Label according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that said tear strip (7) is parallel to two opposite edges of the front sheet (1) and at a distance from each of these edges.

8. Label according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that it comprises several parallel tear strips, side by side, arranged parallel or orthogonally to said first edge of the front sheet (1).

Label according to claim 2 or 3, characterized in that it is in one piece and consists of sheets (1, 2, 1 2, 1 4) adjacent, the front sheet (1) being articulated on the sheet rear (2) along one side or part of the contour of the label, said tear strip (7) adjoining the folding edge (3) of the front (1) and rear (2) sheets.
