Abstract

The invention relates to a device for deflecting a laser beam, running in a beam direction, by means of a deflector unit, mounted such as to rotate from a neutral position about a first axis and an optical unit arranged after the above which may rotate about a second axis, the laser beam coming from the deflector unit as a deflected laser beam is deflected by a first angle to the optical unit and, subsequent to said unit, is then emitted from the device as a deflected laser beam, whereby the one side of the first angle is formed by the deflected laser beam and the other neutral side is formed by a laser beam produced in the neutral position on deflection. The optical unit is embodied as an image or beam rotor and the second axis thereof falls on the second side. Furthermore the optical unit which rotates in a rotating direction about the second axis is embodied such as to deflect the laser beam emitting along the surface of a cone with an opening angle related to the second axis, whereby the deflecting unit on the first axis may be exchanged in order to alter the scale of the deflection of the laser beam emitted from the device.
