Telematik-System mit einer Datenverarbeitungsanlage mit einer Prozessoreinheit und mindestens einer Speichereinheit, einer Schnittstelle zum Einlesen von Daten und einer Schnittstelle zum Auslesen von Daten sowie einer Netzwerksteuerungseinheit und einer bidirektionalen Schnittstelle, über die die Datenverarbeitungsanlage mit einer Mehrzahl von untereinander verbundenen Datenverarbeitungsanlagen vernetzbar ist und Operationsbefehle zur Steuerung der Prozessoreinheit eingebbar sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass das Telematik- System als für Einzelpersonen portable Einheit ausgebildet ist und die bidirektionalen Schnittstelle zum einen mit einer einen Internetzugang ermöglichenden, über das UMTS- Protokoll betreibbaren portablen Breitbandkommunikations- einrichtung verbunden ist und zum anderen mit einer portablen GPS-Einrichtung verbunden ist, wobei eine Speichereinrichtung vorgesehen ist, in der zeitsukzessive Positionsangaben der GPS-Einrichtung bis zum Eingang einer jeweils neuen Positionsangabe zwischengespeichert werden, so dass zu jedem Zeitpunkt eine Positionsangabe aus der Speichereinheit für eine Eingabe in die Prozessoreinheit abrufbar ist.1.
