Abstract

The invention relates to an analysing device and an analysing method for optically analysing liquids, especially fuel and lubricants, oil and/or analytes containing fat, such as oils and fats. Said device comprises an optical conductor arranged between a light source and a light sensor. The optical conductor comes at least partially into contact with the liquid. The rays emitted from the light source are transported through the optical conductor and detected by a light sensor.
