Abstract

The aim of the invention is to improve the data rate of data packets with a fixed predetermined structure (bursts), which are used to transmit voice signals in time slots that are assigned to a transmission channel. To achieve this, the bursts are modulated using a phase shift-key modulation method, such as in particular the 8PSK, (8 phase shift keying) or QPSK, (quadrature phase shift keying) and/or several time slots (multislots) are simultaneously occupied for a voice communication.
