Abstract

A flexible, reclosable package (10, 210, 310, 410) having a reclosable zipper construction (20, 220, 320, 420) openable and closable by a slider device (30, 230, 330, 430), and a tamper-evident structure (35, 235, 335, 435), disposed over the zipper construction to provide indication. Whether access has been gained to the interior of the package. The tamper-evident structure (35, 235, 335, 435) exposes at least a portion of the slider device (30, 230, 330, 430). A second tamper-evident structure (36) is optionally disposed between the zipper construction and the package interior. This second structure may be a web or a peel seal. In one embodiment, there is an abutment positioned between the slider device and the end of the zipper. In another embodiment, there is an opening forming a pocket exposing the slider device. In another embodiment, there is a tab over the slider device. In another embodiment, there is a pair of tabs at opposite ends of the zipper construction.
