Abstract

The invention relates to an electrophoresis device (10) for analysing molecules labelled with fluorescent markers, in particular, biological molecules. According to one aspect of the invention, said device is suitable for resolving at least four different fluorescent markers independently of one another using a detector field assigned to each marker, according to the respective gel electrophoresis lane and the respective fluorescent marker. To this end, spectral filters are balanced with one another with regard to their spectral selectivity, the fluorescent markers are balanced with one another with regard to their spectral absorption and emission selectivity and the wavelengths of the laser beams (60, 62, 64, 66) which are used to excite the fluorescent markers are balanced with one another in a corresponding manner.
