Abstract

The invention relates to a method for redirecting telecommunications connections in which telecommunications connections directed to a first telecommunications terminal (A1) are redirected to a second telecommunications terminal (A2), and information data is additionally transmitted which depicts a terminal identification. When establishing a telecommunications connection from the second telecommunications terminal (A2) to a third telecommunications terminal (A3), the information data is modified in such manner that it depicts the terminal identification of the first telecommunications terminal (A1) instead of the terminal identification of the second telecommunications terminal (A2).

The present invention relates to a method and a system for redirecting telecommunications connections, which in particular enables the integration of teleworkers into a corporate network.

In the simplest embodiment, the information between which telecommunication connections are to be redirected is stored in a table in the public exchanges, with a second telecommunication connection, to which a telecommunication connection is to be redirected, predefined for a first telecommunication connection. Further claims relate to a more flexible extension of the method according to the invention. For example, it may be desirable to be able to register for call diversion from any external connection and to only specify the second connection to which the telecommunications connections are to be diverted when the connection is logged on. This then makes it possible, for example, to redirect calls from the company workstation to any connection under which you can be reached temporarily (for example during a business trip to a hotel connection). It is also possible to redirect the connections to a mobile phone.

According to a further aspect of the invention, a system is proposed according to independent claim 11, by means of which such a deflection method can be carried out. An essential component of the system is a switching center connected to the company connection, which has means for storing the connection identification of the company connection, the connection identification of the home connection and a status information which indicates whether the diversion should take place. The switching center also contains means for redirecting telecommunications connections. In the same way, a further exchange is connected to the home connection, which also has means for storing information that determine the behavior of the home connection. Furthermore, this exchange also contains means for modifying adorn the information data in order to reproduce another connection identifier according to the invention.

The method according to the invention is preferably implemented using Centrex (Central Office Exchange Service). This is understood as a service package in the public network that provides means to build up a corporate network with extension functions. With Centrex, there is the possibility of logically combining the first telecommunication connection AI at the company work station with the second telecommunication connection A2, ie with the home connection, in a network-wide so-called Centerx group. In the example shown in FIG. 1, the first telecommunication connection AI is part of a private branch exchange PBX, which comprises at least one further private branch exchange A4. This private branch exchange PBX is connected to the telecommunications network N via the public switching center VST1 of the private branch exchange PBX. This public switching center VST1 contains a storage device, hereinafter referred to as the teleworker list L1, which enables quick access to the data of the teleworker, the numbers of his company connection AI and his home connection A2. The call diversion is activated in that the teleworker enters a predetermined access code from his home connection A2 and then a personal PIN number for identification. This is recognized by the switching center VST2 of the home connection A2, the registration status is changed accordingly and information is also forwarded to the switching center VST1 of the company connection AI. Call diversion can also be deactivated in the same way. It is then possible, for example, to record the times of logging in and out and thus also the working hours of the teleworker.

The complete registration preferably takes place directly from the home connection A2 of the teleworker. However, it may also be necessary for the teleworker to notify the PBX of the PBX as soon as he leaves the work station from his company connection AI and to finally activate the call diversion from home. Furthermore, it can be provided that the teleworker can make private calls from his home connection A2 even after logging on. In this case, he first dials a special control code to temporarily suppress the modification of the information data, and then the desired phone number. The private number of connection A2 then appears on the called connection and not the company number of connection AI.
