Description

The technical field of the present invention is that of means for filtering particles in suspension in the breathed air and for protecting a part of the body.
It is known that in order to filter particles in suspension in the air, it is known to introduce into the nose of a patient elements ensuring the filtration of these particles. Thus, patent WO 95/33520 describes a filtration device comprising a frame in the form of a frame made from rubber or plastic material, delimiting a frame in which a filter element is inserted. This device is hardly tolerable by the skin and must be adapted to the patient's morphology.
Patent CH-A-662,742 describes a gusset closed by two walls and filled with gas-absorbing granules. This gusset is incorporated into each of a patient's nostrils.
This material is made of cotton, wool, felt, or synthetic foam saturated with a drug.
Patent CH-A-97 538 describes a nasal filter consisting of a frame comprising a U-shaped piece at the ends of which are fixed support circles for a gauze or cotton filter, possibly impregnated with medicaments.
In all the filters described in these documents, the same principle is found, namely a substantially rigid frame surrounding a filter. This structure is not easy to produce and moreover requires special intervention to fix or incorporate the filter element. In addition, these devices cannot be used as a means of protecting a wound. We know that to avoid a wound being in the open air, we must apply a protection consisting of covering it with a gauze pad. The disadvantage of this procedure is that the wound is in contact with a foreign body.
The object of the present invention is to provide a positioning device which is very simple to produce in which the interposition of the protective and / or filtering element in its support is very easy to implement.
The subject of the invention is therefore a device for positioning a protective and / or filtering element at a distance from a body part of a patient, characterized in that it consists of a substantially rigid support provided with two perforations made with respect to a fold line to delimit two flaps, the perforations being intended to receive the protective and / or filtering element when the flaps are folded over one another along said fold line. According to a characteristic of the invention, the perforations are made symmetrically with respect to the fold line.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the protective element is in the form of a micro-aerated wipe and is soaked with an odorous, medicinal or cosmetic substance.
According to yet another characteristic of the invention / the support is in the form of a substantially rigid fabric having a thickness of the order of 2 to 10 mm.
According to another characteristic of the invention, the support is provided with fixing strips for its maintenance relative to the body part of the patient.
According to an alternative embodiment of the invention, the support is in the folded state in the form of a frame comprising two protective elements.
The frame is in the form of two elements rounded joined by a link arm.
The frame is obtained from a flexible and flexible canvas coated with hypoallergenic natural adhesive substance, for example cotton. The protective elements are made of woven and ventilated cotton constituting filtration means and impregnated with odorous substances.
According to yet another characteristic, the support is shaped so that the frame fits in the nostrils of a patient.
A very first advantage of the device according to the invention lies in its simplicity of construction.
Another advantage is that the manufacturing can be fully automated. Other characteristics, details and advantages of the invention will emerge more clearly from the description given below by way of indication in relation to the drawings in which:
- la figure 1 montre la phase initiale de fabrication d'un exemple de réalisation d'un dispositif de protection,FIG. 1 shows the initial manufacturing phase of an exemplary embodiment of a protection device,
- la figure 2 représente le dispositif de protection prêt à l'emploi,FIG. 2 represents the protection device ready for use,
- la figure 3 est une coupe transversale du dispositif de la figure 2, - la figure 4 montre la phase initiale de fabrication d'un autre exemple de réalisation d'un dispositif filtrant,- Figure 3 is a cross section of the device of Figure 2, - Figure 4 shows the initial manufacturing phase of another embodiment of a filter device,
- la figure 5 représente le dispositif filtrant prêt à l' emploi,FIG. 5 represents the filtering device ready for use,
In Figure 1, there is shown a support 1 defining a fold line 2 along which its two flaps 3 and 4 can be folded over one another.
Each flap is perforated in a substantially symmetrical manner relative to the fold line 2 to delimit perforations 5 and 6. On the flap 3 for example, a strip is applied constituting a protective element 7 at the perforation 6 so as to completely close it. Then, the flap 4 is folded along the fold line 8 against the flap 3 previously coated with glue, for example a hypoallergenic natural glue. For example, the support 1 can be made of 100% cotton adhesive fabric which is sufficiently supple and flexible. This support 1 is of a thickness such that it allows a sufficient distance to be maintained between the skin and the protective element. A thickness of the order of 2 to 10 mm, and preferably 4 mm, is sufficient. The material constituting the support can also be a product sold under the very thick STYLEX trademark, 10 cm for example. We can therefore consider a preventive use. The protective element 7 is produced in the form of a micro-aerated wipe. This element 7 can be coated with medicinal, odorous, cosmetic substances either during manufacture, or by the patient himself at the time of use.
In Figure 2, there is shown the protective device for the protection of a wound according to which the support 1 is provided on either side with a sticky strip 9 to be fixed on the skin. A support is thus obtained which is sufficiently rigid to be applied to the skin of a patient at a distance from a wound and in this way allow faster healing. It goes without saying that the support 1 can be cut to match the shape of the pavilion of a patient's ear if it is desired to protect it. It is then held in place by its curve and flexibility. The protective device can also be used at the level of the fingers, the toes by being a simple retractor and at the level of the eyes. The device may be in the form of a sheath capable of marrying the shape of a finger for example so as not to hinder the movements of this finger. So this finger is completely protected from impurities and healing is therefore improved.
The protection device can be coated with a specific gel for extracting the thorns and affixed to avoid any compression of the painful part. In Figure 3, there is shown a section AA according to Figure 2 where we see the support 1 consisting of two flaps 3 and 4 glued against one another trapping the element 7 at its periphery. The support 1 is provided at its ends with two strips of glue 9 when it is desired to protect a bodily wound. It can be fitted with strips to attach it to the patient or with a Velcro type fastener, registered trademark.
The element 7 can be a sticker serving as an adhesive. In Figures 1, 2 and 3, there are shown circular perforations 5. It goes without saying that these can be of any shape, for example in the form of a heart, a star. The support can be embellished with fancy designs, possibly detachable, for example decals, these elements having an aesthetic function.
The variant embodiment shown in FIG. 4 is intended to support two filter elements to be introduced into the nose of a patient in order to filter particles of the pollen or other type. It comprises a support 10 in the form of a sterilized 100% cotton adhesive fabric comprising two flaps 11 and 12 which can be folded one on the other along the fold line 13. Each flap 11 or 12 is provided with two perforations 14 and 15 or 16 and 17 arranged at a distance from each other and in the immediate vicinity of the fold line 13. A filter element 18 or 19 is applied to each of the perforations 16 and 17 of the flap 11 from the edge of the perforations 16 and 17. A filter element may alternatively be applied at the level of each perforation. Then fold the flap 12 coated with adhesive against the flap 11 along the fold line 13 by arranging to match the perforations 14 and 16 on the one hand and the perforations 15 and 17 on the other hand. The glue is of the natural hypoallergenic type. In the figure, two filter elements are shown in square form with rounded corners. It goes without saying that this form is given by way of example and that any form can be adopted. In the figure, there is also shown a line 20 along which the support 10 can be cut in order to give it a particular shape. This shape can be adapted to the patient's morphology by simple cutting. In Figure 5, there is shown a device adapted to be introduced into the nose of a patient for the filtration of airborne particles. This device is obtained after folding the support 10 and cutting the assembly along line 20 of FIG. 4. After folding the flap 12 on the flap 11, a frame 21 is obtained consisting of two wings 22 and 23 in the form of rounded elements enclosing the two filter elements 18 and 19. The dimensions of this device are such that it can be introduced into the nostrils and held in place by simple flexibility. In this configuration, the device is not fixed by any adhesive substance which adheres to the skin and is completely sterilized. It is insensitive to the patient, discreet and disposable. It adapts to the shape of the nasal cavity and thus limits the entry of microscopic polluting particles and pollen. Of course, different dimensions can be provided depending on those of the patient's nasal cavity. These different dimensions can be identified on the frame using a dotted line. As before, the elements 18 and 19 consist of sterilized gauze, cotton woven in weave in the form of a compress or possibly a sterile aerated wipe. In addition, these elements may be fragrant to better facilitate breathing with for example perfume, extracts of medicinal plants used in preparations for inhalation. These elements can also be coated with a sticky substance to retain microscopic particles and prevent their entry into the nasal cavity.
In Figure 6, there is shown a section BB of Figure 5 showing the arrangement of the filter elements 18 and 19 in thickness maintained by the support 10. We see in this figure that the middle part 24 of the support is an arm of a width as it fits the base of the nose. This arm is of small size, 4 mm wide for example, and a color similar to that of the patient's skin. It is almost invisible. This device can be delivered in a pouch or in a protective film that can be removed before installation. To place this device in the nostrils, simply apply the middle part 24 to the base of the nose and exert a simple pressure between the thumb and forefinger on the extreme edges of the device and introduce it into the patient's nostrils. Returning to its original shape, the device is blocked in the nostrils. To extract it, pressure is exerted on each side of the bridge of the nose with the thumb and forefinger, causing the middle part to bend 24.
In Figure 7, there is shown an alternative embodiment of the invention according to which the protective element 7 is arranged on the two flaps of the support covering the perforations. The cosmetic, medicinal or odorous product is then spread over the element and when the support is folded, the element is folded at the same time, which makes it possible to obtain an envelope containing the product. This embodiment makes it possible to increase the duration of diffusion of the product when its use requires it.
