Abstract

The invention relates to a method for treating sludges and to a device for carrying out said method. The treatment for disposing of sludges is carried out by abstracting water contained in the sludge. According to the invention, solidification does not occur as a result of water abstraction. The sludge is instead solidified by admixing a binding agent while binding to water contained in the sludge. The sludge treated in this manner can be advantageously disposed of in waste disposal sites for solid materials.
