Definitions
- the invention relates to inflatable cover elements such as:
- the known assemblies intended to constitute shelters, more particularly for cultures of all kinds, are generally of two types:
- plastic film covers single or double, inflatable or not
- tubular structures generally metallic
- the object of the present invention meets all these requirements.
- inflatable cover elements of the type comprising two superimposed flexible films and associated tension cords> intended to rest on a bearing structure and which are essentially characterized in that: a) the two superimposed flexible films belong to the same closed sheath; b) the tension ropes are positioned longitudinally inside the sheath:
- said tension cords are placed inside sheaths obtained by longitudinal linear welding of the two superimposed films of the sheath at the rate of one weld line for the end sleeves and two weld lines for the intermediate sleeves (10).
- the supporting structure is essentially characterized in that it is made up of posts resting on the ground and high crosspieces, resting on said posts, capable of supporting at least two juxtaposed covering elements.
- the assembly according to the invention is also characterized by:
- FIG. 1 is a partial perspective view of the cover element
- FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the junction between two consecutive cover elements
- FIG. 3 is a perspective view of the assembly comprising juxtaposed cover elements and their supporting structure
- FIG. 1 is a top view of said assembly.
- the inflatable cover elements (1) shown in Figures 1 and 2 are of the type:
- Said cover elements have the following new and original features: - the two superimposed flexible films (2,3) belong to the same closed sheath;
- tension cords (4,5) are placed inside sheaths (9,10) obtained by longitudinal linear welding of the two superimposed films (2,3) of the sheath at the rate of a weld line (11 ) for the end sleeves (9) and two weld lines (12) for the sleeves intermediaries (10).
- the longitudinal weld lines (11,12) are six in number.
- the lateral edges of the covering elements (1) comprise means (13) ensuring the connection of the consecutive covering elements with one another in a fixed manner or in a modifiable manner on command.
- the means (13) for connecting two consecutive covering elements (1) can be associated with a means (14,15) for adjusting the spacing of the lateral edges of said covering elements (1) so as to constitute the opening ventilation of the assembly "elements (1) and structure (6)".
- the means (14,15) for adjusting the spacing of the lateral edges of two consecutive covering elements (1) is of the threaded rod (14) and nut (15) type secured to one of the lateral edges. It can be of any other type.
- the assembly shown in Figures 3, 4 and 5, comprises a supporting structure (6) and cover elements (1).
- the supporting structure (6) essentially comprises posts (7) resting on the ground and high crosspieces (8), resting on said posts, capable of supporting at least two juxtaposed covering elements (1).
- the other particularities of this set are:
- the cover elements (1) are placed perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the assembly according to the invention.
- the cords are preferably textile cables based on aramid fibers or the like, the behavior of which is not modified either by humidity or by tension. Such fibers provide superior strength than that of steel with a much lower weight. They also have the advantage of being insulating, which prevents the formation of hot spots. There is no fixed connection constituting tear zones between the cords and the covering sheath. The sheath can thus deform depending on the stresses to which it is subjected. Coverage thus remains fundamentally flexible. The pressure inside the sheath is relatively low and is used simply to distribute the point pressures while constituting a thermal insulator.
- the plastic film is preferably constituted by a complex polyethylene sheath resistant well to UV radiation. It is a multilayer film including polyethylene and 1 "EVA".
- the method for producing the covering elements consists in carrying out the longitudinal welds of the sleeves on a flat sheath and continuously.
- the strings are then introduced during installation, element by element, after cutting it to the desired length.
- the types of means for connecting the covering elements together which may for example be of the reinforcing strip type (13) sandwiching the lateral edges of the covering elements (1) and provided, in the case of a non-opening connection, hooking means and, in the case of an opening connection, means (14,15,20), of the screw-nut type, where (15) is the nut secured to the strip (13 ) belonging to one of the cover elements and (20) is the support for the end of the threaded rod (14) integral with the strip (13) belonging to the other cover element, said threaded rod constituting the crank opening.
