Abstract

The home-communication system for people with hearing impairment includes a transmitting-receiving device and four transmitters, providing door bell, phone ring, gas leakage, and baby crying information. The information is displayed on the transmitting-receiving device by symbols, like bell, telephone, fire, baby head, or by words. The transmitting-receiving device can be used like a watch, and by the help of it the user can communicate with the other inhabitants of the house. When a signal is received, the transmitting-receiving device warns the user by vibration and shows on a monitor where the signal is coming from. If two or more transmitters work at the same time, the transmitting-receiving device can distinguish the signals of each of them.

Description

DESCRIPTION
HOME-COMMUNICAΗON SYSTEM FOR PEOPLE WITH HEARING IMPAIRMENT
This is invented in order to help deaf people to take same important messages accuring inside the house. It also removes the obligation of not leaving the deaf person at home, alone. This system helps them to feel vhen the door bell or the phone rings, a baby cries and vhen a gas leakage problem occurs vhile cooking food(fhen the food is boiled over and put out the fire the oven ) In those situations, the system vorks and sends message to the user. With the help of the message receiver placed on the arm of the user, she takes all the messages and does the needed interventions, vhether s/he sleeps or not .
By the help of this nev system, they do not only take messages from the transmitters but also they feel that they are called by the other members of the house and also have the opportunity to call them.
There isn't any system vhich is similar to this nev one in terms of its functions, and specifications.
The system is vαrked by connecting receiving censors next to door bell phones and in baby's room and the kitchen . Also, a receiving transmitter display censor is placed on the arm of the user. DOOR TRANSMITTER (DRAWING 1 )
A sudden push on door bell, the censor (Dravingl) sends a signal (1) to the receiver .This signal goes on 30 seconds. The item placed on the arm of the user (Drawing 5 ) takes this signal and (2) bell shape appears on the monitor of the item. At the same time the item varns the user to receive the message by vibration. In other vords, the user feels the vibration, and looks at the receiver. So he understands from vhere the signal is coming. Vibration belonging to door and the appearance of the bell shape, stops itself after 30 seconds. Hovever if the user likes, S/he can stop the vibration and the appearence of bell shape on the monitor by pushing the reset button (3) vithin this 30 seconds.
ON/OFF key (4) button on door bell transmitter is placed in order to make the item out of vork vhen needed.
Receiving Transmitter vorks vith 220 Vac. and led lamp(5) lights.
PHONE / FAX TRANSMITTER (DRAWING 2)
PhoneFax Transmitter (Draving 2) vhich is connected directly to the Phone Line and has a microphone (6) sensible to Phone ring, sends signal to the user vhen a call receives. Receiving Transmitter item, placed on the arm, varns the user by making vibration and appears a Phone shape and by vritmg IPhoneI on the monitor of it. The Phone Transmitter sends signal until the ring stops. If the user doesn't like to answer it, he can stop it for 30 seconds by using 0N0FF(7) buttons σr by pushing reset (3)button. The P. Transmitter vorks vith 220 Vac. And goes on its vork vith its battery vhen any electricity cut dovn exists. If the led lamp (8) of the Transmitter burns, this means that the item is lonl location. If the user would like to stop the item for long time he should make sure that he has taken the Transmitter key button (9) to loffl location.
GAS LEAKAGE TRANSMITTER (DRAWING 3)
The Gas Leakage Transmitter is connected to the Loudspeaker of the item vhich sends signal to the user vhen any gas leakage problem occurs in the kitchen. At that moment, the transmitter not only varns the user by making vibration, but also has the shape of fire or the word of IGasI appears on the monitor of it.
The warnings continues until the alarm ends. If the user likes to stop it, he can do this by pushing reset (3) or on/off button (7) .
Gas Leakage Transmitter vorks vith 220 Vac. and goes on its function by using its battery vhen any electricity cut down exists The item can be put out off function by (11) using onoff key buttons.
The led lamp (12) of the item shows whether the transmitter is on or out of function
BABY TRANSMITTER (DRAWING 4 )
This transmitter (Drawing 4) with a microphone sensible to baby voice is placed into the baby's room. So, vhen baby cries, the microphone(13) receives it and starts to send signal to the user. As a result of this, the item varns the user by making vibration and a baby picture appears or IBab I word is written on the monitor. This signal continues for 30 seconds. In order not to disturb mother, a warning period has been put through the baby transmitter. The item can be adjusted to 10 seconds.
Through this period. If the baby goes on crying, the transmitter reworks and again sends signals for 30 seconds. Lighting Led Lamp (14) means that, the transmitter is working The item works with 220 Vac. And continues it's function by using its battery automatically when any electricity cut down occurs. If the user does not like to use the transmitter, he can provide this from the (15) on/off buttons.
RECEIVING - TRANSMITTER (DRAWING 5 )
Receiving - Transmitter item can be used like a vatch (Draving 5) vith the help of it, the user takes all the messages from door, phone fax, gas leakage and baby transmitters. The item gives detailed info about the signals from vhere they are coming by symbols or written words on the monitor of it.
Receiving - Transmitter item can also give more than one transmitter signal at the same time. Receiving transmitter items can also have communication between each other .When tvo rings appears or ISecondI vord is vritten on the monitor, means that the user is called by the second person. This is same for the third person ,but this time, instead of tvo, three rings and instead of second I ThirdI vord appears on the monitor of the item. So the user understands that he is called by the third person. In addition to those, the user can call the second / third person by pushing (16) call button, too.
Receiving Transmitter item can be used like a vatch as mentioned before. It also shows the day time, when any signal comes from the transmitters, it goes out of its clock function, and goes in to its transmitter function. Whenever the signals end it again passes through its day time fuction Since, each transmitters have its own function, none of item mixes with each other. Receiving transmitter item provides its energy from its battery. Monitors the signals by steps which are coming at the same time from two or more transmitter Irrelevant to others takes its own group signal from same kind transmitters if it is not in use works as a time clock and can be closed by pushing on off buttons on it.
