Abstract

The invention relates to a dressing comprising a flat dressing part (Vt), which enables a holder for a needle, a tube or a catheter to be accommodated. Said holder comprises a holding plate (Hp) and is to be fastened to a patient. The dressing part (Vt) is either a slotted dressing part (Vt) comprising a main slit which extends from the edge thereof approximately to the middle of the dressing part, and which permits said holding plate (Hp) to be accommodated and, optionally, to be secured. The slotted dressing part also comprises an additional slit which is situated on each side of the main slit, and which extends in an essentially opposed manner in relation to the main slit. In another embodiment, the holding plate (Hp) of the holder (Ha) for the needle, tube, or catheter is embedded in the dressing part (Vt).

Description

The invention relates to a bandage with a flat bandage part, which enables the inclusion of a cannula, probe or catheter holder provided for attachment to an individual with a holding plate.
An association of the type described above is known as a so-called Erlangen association. It usually consists of a square, slit gauze dressing part which has a slot from one edge to approximately the middle of the dressing and which allows the holder mentioned or a hose projecting from it to be received in the region of this slot. Sometimes there is a small opening at the end of the slot, or the end of the slot in question branches into short, fork-shaped incisions. It has been shown that this form of dressing often does not allow a cannula, probe or catheter holder to be received and attached satisfactorily to an individual, since the dressing part material bulges after the holder in question has been received and thus cannot properly enclose the holder in question.
A bandage with a flat bandage part for receiving and fixing a drainage tube is also known (WO 97/21459). In this known bandage, a receptacle part for receiving and guiding the drainage hose is provided on the flat bandage part, which is held on the relevant holding part and on the flat bandage part by means of an adhesive strip. The relevant recording In the simplest case, part is formed by two guide strips provided at a distance from one another on the flat bandage part, between which the drainage hose can be received. In other embodiments, the holding part in question is formed by a separate molded part which is fastened on the flat bandage part. A disadvantage of this known dressing, however, is that the drainage hose is to be fixed in its position on the flat dressing part by means of a separate adhesive tape, which is not a secure fixation.
A catheter clamping device is now also known (GB-2 288 542-A), which consists of a holding plate receiving a catheter tube, to which the catheter tube in question can be clamped by means of a clamping bracket. The holding plate itself is provided on its underside with an adhesive layer which is covered with a paper protective layer. The catheter tube is clamped in its working position by the clamping bracket mentioned, so that it is then no longer displaceable. In this way, no adhesive strip is required to fix the hose mentioned; However, the mentioned holding plate is only provided with the mentioned adhesive layer on the underside of the known dressing concerned, which sometimes results in insufficient fixing of the holding plate in question.
The invention is therefore based on the object of developing a bandage of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that an improved enclosure of the cannula, probe or catheter holder to be accommodated by the bandage part is made possible than in the previously known bandage.
The object outlined above is achieved in the case of a dressing of the type mentioned at the outset on the one hand according to the invention in that the dressing part is a slotted dressing part which extends from its edge approximately to the dressing part. middle main slot, which allows the relevant holding plate to be held and possibly held in place, and has an additional slot on each side of the main slot and that the additional slots run essentially opposite to the main slot of the dressing part.
The invention has the advantage that the slits prevent the bandage part from bulging after the holder mentioned has been taken up on the underside of the bandage part. Rather, a good enclosure of the holder in question is made possible. In addition, the invention makes it possible to enclose the holder in its edge regions particularly well, and thus to a certain extent to fix it, in that the holder in question is inserted with its edge regions into the additional slots of the bandage part.
The additional slots mentioned preferably run symmetrically with respect to the main slot of the slotted bandage part. This is of particular advantage in the case of a center-symmetrically constructed holder.
Zweckmäßigerweise verlaufen die Zusatzschlitze parallel zueinander. Dadurch ergibt sich in vorteilhafter Weise eine be- sonders einfache Herstellmöglichkeit. The additional slots expediently run parallel to one another. This advantageously results in a particularly simple production possibility.
However, it is also advantageously possible for the additional slots to run at an angle to one another. This will be used in an advantageous manner with a larger holder.
The additional slots expediently extend beyond the end region of the main slot of the slotted bandage part. This results in a particularly good enclosure of the respective holder by the bandage part in an advantageous manner. Advantageously, said slotted flat bandage part is a slit compress. This has the advantage that the known slit compressors used hitherto can advantageously be designed in such a way that the desired improved enclosure of the respective holder is made possible.
The slotted bandage part is preferably a hydrocoloid bandage part. This has the advantage of a particularly durable dressing part that can be used for a long time without replacement.
The slotted bandage part expediently contains alginate. This has the advantage of a particularly high absorption capacity of the dressing part.
On the other hand, the object described above is achieved according to the invention in the case of a bandage of the type mentioned at the outset in that the holding plate of the cannula, probe or catheter holder is embedded in the bandage part. This has the advantage that a particularly firm enclosure of the holder mentioned in the bandage part and thus a particularly stable fixation is possible.
The holding plate is preferably made of silicone. This has the advantage of particularly good flexibility for the entire association.
Dadurch ist ein besonders formstabiler Verband ermöglicht .The holding plate of the holder mentioned is preferably completely enclosed by the bandage part at least in its edge region. This enables a particularly dimensionally stable bandage.
The holding plate of said holder preferably contains at least one hole which is made of the dressing part material is filled out. This has the advantage of a particularly good position securing of the holder mentioned in the association.
Other expedient means for fixing the position of the holder in the association are that the holding plate of the holder has at least one protrusion protruding in front of it, which is enclosed by the dressing part material, and / or that the holding plate of the holder has at least one recess which is at least partially filled by the association sub-material.
The bandage part of this bandage is preferably a hydrocolloid bandage. This makes the dressing particularly suitable as a wound dressing.
The dressing part expediently contains alginate. This has the advantage of a high absorption capacity of the dressing.
It is also advantageous if the bandage part carries an adhesive film on its top. This enables the dressing part in question to be fixed in its position in a particularly simple manner.
The adhesive film in question expediently fixes the bandage part in a transport receptacle. This provides the association with a particularly simple and stable means of transportation.
It is also advantageous if the adhesive film is also used as a bandage adhesive film. This results in a particularly stable and secure fixable dressing.
The respective bandage part is expediently self-adhesive on its side intended for attachment to the individual. adhesive. This results in a dressing that is particularly easy to use.
The invention is explained in more detail below, for example, with reference to drawings.

Fig. 7 bis 10 zeigen vergrößerte Schnittansichten des in Fig. 5 gezeigten Verbandes längs der dort eingetragenen Schnittlinie I-I zur Veranschaulichung verschiedener Arten der Einbettung des Kanülen-, Sonden- oder Ka- theterhalters in dem Verbandsteil.5 and 6 show a bandage with a flat bandage part in which a cannula, probe or catheter holder is embedded. 7 to 10 show enlarged sectional views of the dressing shown in FIG. 5 along the section line I-I entered there to illustrate various types of embedding of the cannula, probe or catheter holder in the dressing part.
Fig. 11 zeigt eine ähnliche vergrößerte Schnittansicht wieFig. 11 shows a similar enlarged sectional view as
Fig. 8, but with a slightly different bandage part and additionally with a closure part.
Zs2 liegen von dem Endloch El aus betrachtet etwa im Bereich des letzten Drittels des Hauptschlitzes Hs.The dressings shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 each have a thin-layered, flat dressing part Vt, which has a thickness of, for example, 1.5 mm. The relevant bandage parts Vt can either consist of a Mullko press material or they are formed by a hydrocolloid bandage part and / or contain alginate. Their respective underside, that is to say the side with which the relevant dressing part Vt is to be attachable to an individual, is self-adhesive. In the dressing shown in FIG. 1 in a top view and in FIG. 2 in a front view, the dressing part Vt is a practically square dressing part, the corners of which are rounded. The dressing part Vt has a main slot Hs, which runs up to about the middle of the dressing part, but in the present case before it, with an end hole El from the upper edge of the dressing part. Two additional slots Zs1, Zs2 run from the lower edge of the relevant bandage part Vt to the main slot Hs in the opposite direction. The ends E1, E2 of the relevant additional slots Zsl or Zs2, viewed from the end hole El, lie approximately in the region of the last third of the main slot Hs.
Fig. 3 shows a similar structure of the dressing part Vt as Fig. 1 with a main slot Hs and additional slots Zsl and Zs2, the ends El and E2 relative to the end hole El of the main slot Hs have the same relative position as in Fig. 1. In contrast to 3 has the shape of an equilateral triangle, the corners of which are rounded.
Fig. 4 shows a bandage part Vt which corresponds in terms of its outer shape to the square bandage part Vt shown in Fig. 1, but here the main slot Hs with its end area Et lying approximately in the middle bandage area Et is cut further in a fork shape and the additional slots Zsl and Zs2 obliquely are cut into the bandage part Vt, their ends E1 or E2 being inclined towards the main slot Hs.
In the dressings considered above, the additional slots Zsl, Zs2 run symmetrically with respect to the main slot of the respective dressing part Vt, and in accordance with FIGS. 1 to 3 they even run parallel to one another and parallel to the main slot Hs run, while FIG. 4 illustrates the inclined course of the relevant additional slots Zsl, Zs2 to one another and to the main slot Hs. In any case, the bandage parts Vt designed in this way allow the bandage to take up a cannula, probe or catheter holder intended for attachment to an individual in the area of their respective main slot Hs and to enclose the peripheral areas of the holder in question by the additional slots Zs1, Zs2, This is due to the fact that these edge areas come to lie below the outer areas of the dressing part Vt defined by the additional slots, and the holder is thus firmly fixed in its position. In any case, there is no unfavorable bulging of the bandage part. A holder such as that shown in connection with FIGS. 5 and 6 can be used as a cannula, probe or catheter holder.
A cannula, probe or catheter holder Ha is embedded in the bandage part Vt with a holding plate Hp, the outer edge of which is shown in broken lines in FIG. 5. The holder Ha in question is completely enclosed by the dressing part material with its holding plate Hp, at least in its edge region. The holding plate Hp, which is preferably made of silicone, has in its central region a guide channel Fk for a cannula, probe or a catheter and a through hole D1 adjoining it. In the upper area, the holding plate Ha has bearing points La for receiving a closure part with which the cannula, probe or catheter mentioned can be fixed in position on the holding plate Ha.
Fig. 6 shows a front view of the dressing shown in Fig. 5, wherein it can be seen that the dressing part Vt is shown flat and thin-layered. It points to his Edge areas have a thickness of, for example, 1 mm and a thickness of, for example, 3.2 mm in its central area. On its underside, the dressing part Vt is preferably self-adhesive, which enables the dressing to be used particularly easily.

Connection with Fig. 5 mentioned bearing point La for receiving a closure part.
F g. 7 veranschaulicht dabei, daß der Halter Ha mit seiner Halteplatte Hp m deren Randbereich vollständig vom Verbands- teilmaterial umschlossen ist.F g. 7 illustrates that the holder Ha with its holding plate Hp m whose edge area is completely enclosed by the dressing material.
Dieses Loch kann m einer Mehrzahl vorgesehen sein, z.B. m jedem Eckenbereicn des m Fig. 5 m einer Draufsicht dargestellten Halters Ha.Fig. 8 illustrates the case that the holding plate Hp of the holder Ha contains at least one hole Lo, which is filled by the dressing material. This hole may be provided in a plurality, e.g. m each corner region of the holder Ha shown in FIG. 5 m a plan view.
Ein solcher Vorsprung Vo kann m einer Mehrzahl vorgesehen sein, z.B. m jedem Eckenbereich des m Fig. 5 m einer Draufsicht dargestellten Halters Ha.FIG. 9 illustrates the case in which the holding plate Hp of the holder Ha has at least one protrusion Vo protruding therefrom, which is enclosed by the dressing part material. Such a projection Vo can be provided in a plurality, e.g. m each corner region of the holder Ha shown in FIG. 5 m a top view.
Im übrigen können die Maßnahmen gemäß Fig. 9 und 10 auch gemeinsam bei einer Halteplatte Hp vorgesehen sein.10 finally illustrates the case in which the holding plate Hp of the holder Ha has at least one depression Ve which is at least partially filled by the dressing part material. This recess Ve can, like the projection Vo in the embodiment according to FIG. 9, either individually or in a plurality, for example in each corner region of the m Fig. 5 holder Ha shown in plan view may be provided. Otherwise, the measures according to FIGS. 9 and 10 can also be provided together with a holding plate Hp.
While the holding plate Hp of the holder Ha is largely secured by embedding it in this bandage part Vt when it is embedded in the bandage part Vt according to FIG. 7 in its position relative to the bandage part Vt, this position securing is in the embodiments according to FIGS. 8, 9 and 10 further improved.
Diese Klebefolile kann gegebenenfalls zusätzlich als Verbandsklebefolie mitgenutzt werden.FIG. 11 shows the holding plate Hp of the holder Ha shown in FIG. 8 in a somewhat different embodiment of the bandage part Vt. The holding plate Hp is embedded here in a bandage part Vt formed as a flat part and is held particularly well in position within the bandage part Vt by the fact that the bandage part material not only surrounds the holding plate, but also penetrates it in the at least one hole Lo provided. 11, the dressing part Vt is accommodated together with the holding plate Hp by a shell-shaped transport support carrier Ta, in which the respective dressing part Vt is fixed with its holding plate Hp by means of an adhesive film Kf. This adhesive film can optionally also be used as a bandage adhesive film.
Allergische Reaktionen, wie sie bei herkömmlichen Verbandsklebern, auch sogenannten hautfreundlichen Verbandsklebern, nach Lang- zeitanwendung häufig auftreten, sind hier nicht zu erwarten.11, a closure part Vt is accommodated, which is accommodated with bearing journals Lz in bearing points of the relevant holding plate Hp, as have been mentioned in connection with FIG. 5. The closure part Vt has such an internal cross section that it completely encloses a cannula, a probe or a catheter together with the guide channel of the holding plate, without, however, squeezing it. In connection with the above-described embodiments of the dressing according to the invention, the following should be pointed out when using a hydrocolloid and an alginate. Both the alginate and the hydrocolloid are characterized by high skin acceptance by the individual or patient wearing the respective bandage part when used over a period of several weeks to months. Allergic reactions, such as those that occur with conventional bandage adhesives, also known as skin-friendly bandage adhesives, after long-term use are not to be expected here.
When a dressing according to the invention using an alginate or a hydrocolloid is detached, no dressing residues remain in the patient. In contrast, with conventional gauze dressings, their residues must be treated with skin-unfriendly solutions such as Petroleum spirit, are rubbed off, causing the respective skin area to dry out and be additionally burdened.
Since the hydrocolloid bandage part and also the alginate are waterproof, a patient who wears a bandage according to the invention containing these elements is not restricted in his daily personal hygiene. Wounds treated with this dressing remain covered both when showering and when taking a full bath. The dressing in question can be dried off after the water treatment and does not need to be renewed.
Another advantage worth mentioning in connection with a hydrocolloid or an alginate in a dressing according to the invention is that the dressing change which is less frequently necessary with such a dressing provides both economic and ecological benefits. In addition, the transparency of the material in question enables the exit point of a cannula, probe or catheter holder received by the cannula, probe or or catheter element or tube without detaching the dressing. The hydrocolloidal material also has the property of absorbing and binding wound secretions. The material in question changes color and eventually becomes whitely cloudy, while the wound treated with the dressing itself remains dry. The turbidity of the material can also be used as an observation indicator for wound secretions emerging from a wound which is provided with a bandage according to the invention.
In conclusion, it should be pointed out that in the past, due to the lack of adequate fastening options, it was customary in some cases to sew certain cannula, probe or catheter holders with their cannula, probe or catheter onto the skin of a patient, e.g. in the suprapubic urinary catheter. Such suturing and the associated high risk for a patient can be avoided by a hydrocolloid bandage or a part of the hydrocolloid bandage, possibly containing alginate.
