Durchführung von Diensten eines Intelligenten Netzes unter Nutzung eines DatennetzesCarrying out services of an intelligent network using a data network
The invention relates to a peripheral device which is set up for interactive message exchange with subscribers of a telephone system, which has an intelligent network with a service control node for the administration and control of intelligent services and at least one telephone network linked to the intelligent network, at least one of the subscribers of the telephone system is authorized to use one or more intelligent services.
The invention further relates to a telephone system which has an intelligent network with a service control node for the administration and control of intelligent services for subscribers to the intelligent network and at least one telephone network linked to the intelligent network, and in which one or more for interactive message exchange with subscribers of the telephone system configured peripheral devices are provided, at least one of the subscribers of the telephone system being authorized to use one or more intelligent services.
The invention also relates to a method for carrying out an intelligent service offered by an intelligent network, in which messages are exchanged interactively between a peripheral device of a telephone system and a subscriber of the telephone system, who is authorized to use at least the intelligent service. wherein in addition to the intelligent network, the telephone system has at least one telephone network linked to the intelligent network and the intelligent network has a service control node for the administration and control of intelligent services. Telecommunications networks, in particular telephone networks, are designed as fixed networks or mobile radio networks, such as the well-known GSM network (global system for mobile communications), and have networked switching facilities which are used to set up and maintain calls between the participants in a network. So that connections between subscribers from different networks are also possible, the telephone networks are linked to one another based on corresponding cooperation agreements and then form a superordinate telephone system. In such a telephone system, a subscriber is assigned to a specific network, his home network, which is used to manage the subscriber data and, for example, to charge. The concept of the home network is particularly important for mobile subscribers who roam across networks, i.e. change the catchment area of another mobile radio network and can continue to make calls, provided that a so-called roaming agreement is in place between the subscriber's home network and the visited network .
In mobile radio networks, base stations are connected to the switching devices, with the aid of which telecommunication terminals can be connected via an air interface. These end devices enable a subscriber to a mobile network to access the network. The switching facilities are also for the transition to other networks, e.g. a data transmission network or a fixed network.
3From the GSM network it is also known to use storage units within a mobile network in which subscriber-specific data on the network-based services are stored. One of these storage units implements the so-called home location register (HLR), which is usually located at a fixed location and in which the registration of the subscriber is based. 3
For the mobile subscriber and the base station connected to him, a storage unit is provided as a so-called visitor register (VLR, visit-mg _locatιon register), in which the subscriber and association-specific data are stored and which is usually in a mobile Switching node (MSSP, mobile service switching point) is realized. Depending on the location of the mobile subscriber, the storage unit for the visitor register or the switching node also changes.
This gives a subscriber of a mobile network the possibility of "roaming", ie switching between cells, that is to say the catchment areas of the base stations, under certain circumstances even during a call. The change between the cells, as is known in the example of the GSM network, is accomplished by this ensures established protocols, via which the subscriber data are exchanged, for example, between a home register permanently assigned to the subscriber and the visit register of the current cell.
Various protocols are currently used for communication between the switching units, such as INAP protocols (intelligent network application part) such as the Core INAP according to the ETSI specification 300 374-1, July 1994, the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI) or the MAP protocol (mobile application part) of the GSM standard. These protocols are usually used within the network. Furthermore, a so-called CAMEL platform (customized a placement for mobile network enhanced .Logic) is known from ETSI specifications, with which the support of additional provider-specific services for subscribers is also to be made possible across networks.
4In a so-called intelligent network (IN or ISDN, integrated services digital network), in addition to the basic services, such as the telephone and facsimile service of a telephone network, other services are set up by a 4
Participants of the intelligent network are addressed nen Kings ¬. These services - hereinafter referred to as intelligent services - Examples of possible additional services to basic services, such as call forwarding, administrative-oriented services, such as a query accrued Ge ¬ sprächsgebühren a participant or to the basic services-building application services, such as a bank posting service where booking processes and other bank transactions are carried out and logged by telephone. For the administration and implementation of the services in the intelligent network is a service control node, which is usually referred to as SCP (service control point) or, in particular in the CAMEL standard, as CSE (CAMEL service environment) and is generally different from the switching devices of the intelligent network is. In an intelligent network implemented as a GSM network, the service control node can also take over the functions of the home register. The CAMEL standard defines a CAP protocol (CAMEL application part) for the signaling between a mobile switching node and a service control node, a set of messages that can also be used across networks.
Special intelligent services require a participant interaction in which an interactive message exchange takes place, for example an announcement is played to the participant or the participant is prompted for data input and this is accepted. According to the Core INAP, so-called intelligent peripheral rates (IP) are provided, which provide the intelligent services with a number of service help functions (SRF) for the implementation of the subscriber interactions; in the following they are called the short half peripheral device. A peripheral device is connected to a switching node of the network via a protocol of inter-office signaling or subscriber signaling. In many intelligent networks, the use of intelligent services for a subscriber is only possible within his home network. In the CAMEL standards, the use of intelligent services is also intended for "roaming" subscribers. That is, calls from roaming subscribers, if the service requires subscriber interaction, must be redirected to the home network, since the corresponding peripheral device can only be addressed in the home network, which is often cumbersome, time-consuming and also leads to avoidable high fees on the part of the subscriber.
In principle, it is also conceivable to set up a peripheral device of the home network in a foreign network, where it makes its service support functions available to the external network. However, this presupposes that the protocols of the peripheral device and the foreign network switch match, that the foreign network supports the CAMEL standards and, last but not least, that the operator of the foreign network is even willing to include a "foreign" device in his network This requires a high degree of cooperation, which goes far beyond a roaming agreement and for which the network operators involved are only to be expected, if at all, within a telecommunications alliance due to the effort involved.
6The same applies to another solution, in which peripheral devices are used jointly by different network providers and / or service providers. However, the service auxiliary functions of such peripheral devices generally have to support several languages, and have been agreed among the operators involved and at least partially disclosed, so that high cooperation requirements with the above-mentioned consequences also result. 6
It is therefore an object of the invention to enable the implementation of subscriber interactions, where the genann ¬ th disadvantages are avoided and in particular the require ¬ conclusions to the respective peripheral devices and network nodes are greatly relaxed as possible.
Die Aufgabe wird ausgehend von einem Peripheriegerat der eingangs genannten Art gelost, welches einen Zugang zu einem für den Austausch digitaler Information eingerichteten Daten- netz aufweist und dazu eingerichtet ist, über eine m demThe task is solved on the basis of a peripheral device of the type mentioned at the beginning, which has access to a data network set up for the exchange of digital information and is set up via a m

This solution has the advantage, among other things, that any common protocol can be used for the data transmission between the peripheral device and the service control node. Another advantage is that usually low fees are charged for connections via the Internet, often only for dialing in, which benefits the subscriber especially when staying in external networks.
In a particularly expedient embodiment, the peripheral device is set up to obtain information for carrying out the message exchange before an interactive message exchange with the subscriber entitled to the service and / or during this time via the data network connection. This enables a flexible design of the information exchange depending on the current course of the participant interaction.
In einer nützlichen Variante ist das Peripheriegerat dazu eingerichtet, nach Beendigung des interaktiven Nachrichten- austauschs mit dem dienstberechtigten Teilnehmer an denIn a useful variant, the peripheral device is set up to send to the subscriber who is entitled to service after the interactive message exchange has ended

It is also advantageous, in particular for subscriber interactions with subscribers in a telephone network linked to the intelligent network, if the peripheral device is assigned to the relevant telephone network of the telephone system.
The peripheral device is expediently set up to request the establishment of the connection to the service control node in relation to the data network itself.
In a further embodiment, in which the use of external peripheral devices provides particular advantages, the peripheral device is assigned to a mobile system for establishing radio connections for mobile users.
The mobile system is advantageously implemented as a GSM network.
The task set above is further achieved on the basis of a telephone system of the type mentioned at the beginning by a telephone system with at least one peripheral device which, according to the invention, has access to a data network set up for the exchange of digital information and is set up via a data network to the service control node , which also has a data network access, to obtain established connection information relating to an intelligent service for an authorized subscriber.
Die Vorzuge dieser Losung entsprechen denen des erfmdungsge- maßen Peπpheriegerates .The advantages of this solution correspond to those of the Pepherie Council according to the invention.

It is also advantageous if the service control node is set up to select one from the peripheral devices which can be reached by the service control node via the data network and can be used for the telephone network, based on the location of the subscriber and the desired intelligent service. In this way, the appropriate peripheral device can be selected specifically according to the requested service or the required participant interaction.
In this case, the service control node is advantageously set up to send the telephone network a message which has target information for addressing the peripheral device and a correlation identity which contains initial information relating to the intelligent service for the peripheral device.
The data network may also favorably be a computer network, e.g. the internet is. Computer networks such as the Internet offer large, even global, connection options in a comparatively simple and cost-saving way.
In a further embodiment, in which the use of third-party peripheral devices brings particular advantages, the telephone system is set up as a mobile system for establishing radio connections for mobile subscribers, and the subscriber entitled to the service is such a mobile subscriber.
9The telephone system is advantageously implemented as a GSM network. 9
The above object is equally by a Ver ¬ of the type mentioned drive solved, wherein infor ¬ mation relating to the intelligent service between the peripheral device and the service control node compound prepared are exchanged over an established in a digital for exchanging information data network.
The advantages thus achieved are in agreement with those of the inventive perfusion device.
Particular, expedient features of the method according to the invention emerge from claims 20 to 27.
The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of an exemplary embodiment relating to a GSM network system, the essential components of which are shown schematically in the attached figure.

The subscriber TNR is logged into the foreign network FTN via a radio link to a base station BTS, which is connected to a mobile switching center MSC. On the part of the home network HTN, a service control node CSE is shown, which, among other things, stores the permanent subscriber-specific data for the use of the network services, and a so-called gateway switching center GSC, which serves to link the two networks HTN, FTN with one another. In addition, there may of course be other network connections, for example a direct line between the service control node CSE and the switching center MSC. Switching facilities of the home network HTN are of course also available, but are for 1 0
Representation of the invention is irrelevant and therefore only indicated in the figure. Likewise, any service control node possibly existing in the foreign network FTN is of no significance for the invention.
It should be noted at this point that the exemplary embodiment is not intended to restrict the invention to mobile radio networks. Rather, the following discussions can easily be transferred by the person skilled in the art to other telephone network systems TKS, in particular fixed networks, e.g. with a subscriber who is granted access to the same service configuration from different terminal devices TNR, even from outside his home network. Of course, the home network HTN must be set up to support intelligent services, ie it must be an intelligent network.
Aufgrund z.B. der gewählten Rufnummer, einer Teilnehmersubskription hinsichtlich eines IntelligentenIn the exemplary embodiment, the subscriber TNR dials a telephone number; the connection request arrives at the switching center MSC. Due to e.g. the dialed number, a subscriber subscription with regard to an intelligent person
Diese „Dιenstort"-Informatιonen dienen spater zur Auswahl eines geeigneten Peripheriegerates .Service recognizes the switching center MSC that a service-related request to the service control node CSE of the home network of the subscriber TNR is required. The switching center MSC therefore sets up a signaling connection to the service control node CSE and sends the corresponding request. An INAP protocol or a CAP protocol can be used for this - the latter is cheaper because the CAP protocol is intended for cross-network signaling. The service control node CSE determines from the data of the request, e.g. a service key contained therein, the desired intelligent service and the location of the subscriber. These "location" information will later be used to select a suitable peripheral device.
1 1If it is determined by the service control node CSE that a user interaction is required for the processing of the service, the “location” information becomes suitable 1 1
(Ob das Heimatnetz-Peripheriegerat HIP einen Datennetzanschluß auf- weist, ist m diesem Zusammenhang belanglos.)Peripheral device determines to which of the switching center MSC ¬ a compound produced is. According to the invention this may ¬ He em the home network HTN his strange peripheral ¬ gerat FIP, which dispose with access to the Internet IPN or other data network. The peripheral device FIP can, as shown in the figure, be connected to the switching center MSC directly or via other network nodes. It is also possible that the peripheral device FIP is located in a third network (not shown in the figure) of the network system TKS and the connection to the switching center MSC is also cross-network; depending on the circumstances, this can be cheaper than connecting to a peripheral device HIP of the home network HTN. (It is irrelevant in this context whether the home network peripheral device HIP has a data network connection.)
The service control node CSE now sends a message to the switching center MSC with a destination number that is intended for addressing the peer device FIP. The destination number consists of the "call number" of the peripheral device FIP and, advantageously, an extension, for example in the manner of a number with extension extension for a subordinate connection of a private branch exchange. The extension serves as a so-called correlation identity, which, as described below, serves as initial information for the FIP peripheral device is used.

Vorteilhaft ist weiters, daß für Verbindungen über das Internet gewohnlicherweise geringe Gebuhren verrechnet werden, oft nur f r die Ortsemwahl, was dem Teilnehmer gerade beim Aufenthalt m Fremdnetzen zugute kommt.common protocol can be used; signaling with the ISUP or DSS .1 protocol is not required. However, it is a sensible, if not imperative, requirement that the connection to the Internet or data network IPN be established using a real-time protocol in order to enable rapid data transmission, which a must take place in parallel with the subscriber interaction. For example, an INAP or CAP protocol with the data network's own protocol, e.g. the Internet's TCP / IP protocol can be used as the underlying transport protocol layer. It is also advantageous that usually low fees are charged for connections via the Internet, often only for dialing the location, which benefits the subscriber especially when staying in external networks.
The additional service data made available to the peripheral device FIP by the service control node CSE via the data connection naturally depend on the intelligent service used in each case and can be, for example, information for a play announcement command, a prompt and collect command, and the peripheral device FIP correlation identity already implicitly sent. The service data can be requested by the peripheral device FIP or can also be sent by the service control node CSE without a request - the latter is possible and sensible since the service control node CSE has sufficient information for the correct transmission of the service data required by the peripheral device FIP through the previous dialogue with the switching center MSC . The peripheral device FIP uses the service data received to carry out the participant interaction.
