Abstract

This invention is a non-programmable automated heart rhythm classifier (10) that may be used alone, or in conjunction with a therapy system (70) for delivery shock treatment, or therapeutic drugs to a patient, monitoring a recording system (80), paging or alarming system (90), or other rhythm classifying device. The classifier is used to determine whether a patient's heart rhythm is normal, monomorphic tachycardia, or polymorphic tachycardia from the extracted features of the cardiac signal.
