Abstract

The invention relates to an apparatus for coextruding polymers at different temperatures comprising at least two extruders (1, 2), wherein the extruders are connected to a coextrusion head (4) which comprises an insulation zone (40), and at least one of a cooling zone (21) and a heating zone (31) and wherein a removable die/dieholder-combination is mounted to the coextrusion head (4). The invention also relates to a method for coextruding two or more polymers at different temperatures by shaping the polymers independently of one another, until the moment they meet at the vicinity of the die-frontplate (13), where the polymers are brought together and a coextrudate is formed.
