Abstract

A liquid crystal display device includes a solar power source disposed substantially underneath a liquid crystal display layer such that light incident on the liquid crystal display layer is transmitted through the liquid crystal display layer and is incident upon the solar power source. The display device further includes an antenna disposed on the liquid crystal display layer. The antenna uses conductors that do not substantially block the display or the light being transmitted through the display layer.
