Abstract

An active mirror laser amplifier section (10) has a number of active mirror amplifier modules (30) connected together in a continuous ring. Each of the active mirror amplifier modules (30) has an active mirror (12). An input optical section (22) receives an input light (20). The input optical section (22) directs the input light (20) toward the active mirror (12) of a first of the active mirror amplifier modules (30). The input light (20) is reflected from the active mirror (12) of the first of the active mirror amplifier modules (30) to the active mirror (12) of a second of the active mirror amplifier modules (30).
