Abstract

An autoclavable bed urinal (1) made of transparent or translucent plastic and provided with a backflow preventing device (5) that may be detached using a special sealing screw-thread assembly. The urinal is easy to clean and sterilise and is particularly characterised in that it has a quick emptying system arranged opposite the neck and comprising a hole (2) with a tube (3) extending therefrom and having various closure systems so that advantageously the backflow preventer need not be removed before emptying. Said urinal has a detachable or fixed handle provided using a special technique. The figure shows the male version.

Description

Advanced safety urinal

The known safety urinals, in transparent or translucent plastic material, capable of withstanding a sterilization temperature of 130 ° C., have an anti-reflux system which is removable by unscrewing to allow cleaning of the assembly and is essential for emptying. .

The safety urinal according to the invention is made of transparent or translucent plastic material. It is capable of withstanding a sterilization temperature of 130 ° C. It has a removable anti-reflux system, in particular by unscrewing. Compared to known models, it also has a special "quick-drain" system which notably eliminates the need to remove the anti-reflux to empty, avoids the release of odors when emptying and offers, in addition, judicious modifications and additions which combine and give it new advantages.

To this end and according to the invention:

The wall of this improved urinal has a hole located approximately towards the end opposite its neck. This hole is positioned above the normal filling level. This hole is surmounted by a conduit which channels the emptying and forms a pouring neck which directs and directs the jet in particular in order to be able to pour precisely into a test tube. This duct is arranged at its end which opens outwards to receive in particular a shutter system allowing plugging and rapid unclogging. The diameter of this hole and that of the conduit which overcomes it are only sufficient to ensure a fairly rapid emptying of this improved urine. The assembly of the hole, the conduit and the plugging system constitutes the system of "emptying-fast" of the improved security urinal.

It avoids removing the anti-reflux system from the cervix and having to manipulate it each time it is only useful to empty said urine. Rinsing by the "quick dump" is possible. Before, with an urinal, when emptying its contents through the wide orifice of its neck, annoyingly escaped the internal confined atmosphere of this urinal ... towards the manipulator.

On the other hand, with the improved safety urinal, when it is emptied by the "emptier", whose internal section is judiciously limited, the emptying flow can easily occupy the entire section. It follows ^that there is not passage for internal atmosphere of the improved urinal that would allow him to escape for a drain. So the manipulator is not inconvenienced

When the safety urinal is submerged in a cleaning tank, 1 ^" orifice of the

"Quick drain" (not blocked) facilitates rinsing of the entire interior of the improved urinal.

A connector preferably threaded extended by a flexible tube is arranged to be connected to the conduit of the 'fast-empty "whose end is provided ^with an external thread.

The other end of the flexible hose can be inserted into a drain siphon of the type used to receive the empties of washing machines or in any other receptacles ... This device allows a practical and hygienic emptying of the improved safety urinal.

A similar connection with a hose connected to a ^water supply can also be used for internal flushing of the urinal improved safety, particularly in hospitals.

A stopper system closes the "quick dump" duct of the advanced safety urinal. This system is either constituted by a simple plug inserted in the duct, or by a jointed or self-sealing capsule with lips, preferably screwed onto the terminal part of the duct comprising in particular for this purpose a external thread. To avoid untimely unclogging by a bedridden not having all his lucidity, the "emptying quickly" in this case is closed by a so-called screw security capsule (jointed or self-sealing) which once screwed, requires, for be able to unscrew it, to exert at the same time a strong generally axial pressure. Otherwise, the unscrewing does not engage. These screw security capsules, in this case, then emit a click noise warning of the unblocking attempt. Some capsules do not emit noise when trying to unclog An additional way to avoid unwanted unclogging is that the screw thread of the capsules and the conduit instead of being normally with a step to the right, are with a step to the left.

To make it easier to remove the simple plug, its upper part may include a circular shoulder allowing it to be better grasped. Similarly, the capsules, to facilitate their unscrewing and re-screwing, are provided with ribbing or cut sides around their periphery.

The simple plug is made of a flexible material capable of holding up to 130 ° C. It is on the basis of flexible silicone that such a plug can be manufactured for the "emptying" of the improved safety urinal. Indeed, this material, during successive uncorkings and recaps, offers the advantage of withstanding the possible aggressiveness of the orifice of the "emptiness", and of accepting a temperature of 130 ° C.

The screw caps are made of plastic resistant to 130 ° C and are in particular from the family of polyolefins.

The color of the shutter blocking the “emptiness” of the improved security urinal is preferably chosen to attract attention and of a different shade of the body of the improved urinal. It is advantageously red or white to allow it to be found easily and to quickly realize that it is well placed in the hole of the "emptiness". A fluorescent shade is also suitable.

The shutters above comprise a material storing photons when in a bright atmosphere and restores them in the form of light when in the dark thereby regain its night improved safety urinal and said shutter ^when it was temporarily placed nearby. The color of the material constituting the anti-reflux system of the improved safety urinal is advantageously chosen so that it is different from that constituting the body of said urinal. As a result, it is seen outwardly that it is a separate piece, part of which protrudes at the end of the neck of said urinal. So we see where it must be entered to be able to separate it from the urinal. Its coloring also makes it possible to better see in any position the possible filling still possible in said urinal by estimating the distance which remains between the small end of the anti-reflux and the level of the content. For safety reasons, to avoid untimely unscrewing the backflow of bedridden by not having all their lucidity, screwing instead ^of being classic with a step to the right, has a left.

To be easy to handle and hygienic, the improved urinal is advantageously provided with a removable or fixed handle. It is made of plastic capable of withstanding a sterilization temperature of 130 ° C. It originates around the middle of the back of the advanced safety urinal. So that it does not slip by hand, under its end, there is a small boss.

To make the packaging less bulky and more economical the transport of improved safety urinals, their removable handles are of such dimensions that they can cross the necks of said urinals and be accommodated in said urinals during their transport and for storage.

- Case of the removable handle:

The back of the improved safety urinal has at least one tab, the axis of symmetry of which is parallel to the axis of said urinal. This tab has a longitudinal offset on each side at its base. A slide or similar system with a section related to that of said tongue exists recessed in the sole of the handle. The two lateral edges of said slide each include a retainer capable of embedding said tongue inserted by sliding in said slide. A stop limits the sliding. A stud or its equivalent located on the top of said tongue is resiliently positioned in a hollow housing provided for this purpose in said slide or close to it, or vice versa. The handle is positioned while remaining removable. For a non-removable handle, the nipple and its counterpart each have a vertical face making the snap irreversible. - Case of the fixed handle:

In the case of making the urinal from a hollow parison, said parison is dimensioned and positioned so that it overflows into the mold beyond the imprint of the urinal in the zone corresponding to the back of said urinate. The mold knives are judiciously arranged so that beyond the outline of the imprint of the improved safety urinal, they can cut the flattened parison which projects beyond the profile of the handle, while leaving the base of said handle connected to the body of the security urinal perfected. When the mold is closed, the knives cut the parison along the contour of the imprint except at the location of the handle foot, of which they cut the outer contour while hot-pressing the latter. The handle is housed in the two half-cavities which are not quite deep enough to contain it. This results in a hot pressure such as to weld together its two walls. To make it easier to grasp this flat handle, the half-cavities in the mold forming the housing of this handle present for this purpose at certain points symmetrical differences in depth such as to press the plastic material from the parison to make it flow back to other points of these symmetrically more hollow half-cavities and thus thicken the handle at certain points, having thus achieved real hot stamping to cause the plastic material to flow back from the less hollow points to more hollow points.

By this hot stamping process, it is also possible to deform the handle on the part intended to grip it, in particular creating undulations therein to increase its size.

Whether these removable or fixed handles, the technique which would consist in obtaining them by blowing would be likely to pose sealing problems in the case of mass production. An antiseptic, perfumed or not, is grafted by hygiene into the material constituting the body of the improved urinal, in that of its handle and in that of its anti-reflux system, as well as in that of its plugging.

Corks, capsules, handles and anti-reflux are of such density that if dropped in water, they float and thus are easily recoverable.

To make the use of the improved safety urinal even more practical, a urinal holder which hangs on the side of the bed by a sort of hook is set up to hold the said urinal which is thus within reach of equality.

This urinal holder is essentially constituted by only three branches sterilizable at 130 ° C suitably curved forming an open cage whose elements are joined only at two points possibly by welding. The assembly can also be made in a single piece of plastic by molding.

This urinal holder is a kind of open cradle in which rests the advanced safety urinal. For this purpose, its shape and dimensions are specially established to receive said urinal and to hold it laterally in a vertical position (neck in the air).

It is open enough on the front to leave easily accessible the grip notches and / or the handle of said urinal. So that the ends of the rods which constitute it are not injurious, they are coated with flexible material end caps. Its great simplicity makes its mass production inexpensive and facilitates its maintenance and disinfection. Embodiments of the invention are described below by way of nonlimiting examples, with reference to the figures of the appended drawings in which:
