Abstract

A process for the production of modified phenol-aldehyde resins includes the use of a modifier selected from melamine, urea, and other suitable nonvolatile organic compounds. The phenolic component of the resins preferably includes a difunctional phenolic compound. The inventive resins resist pre-curing and are particularly useful in blowline blending procedures.
