本発明は脱気膜および脱気方法に係り、 目的とする気体を的確に 脱気せしめ、 比較的コンパク トな脱気設備により有効な脱気処理を 実施することのできる脱気膜及び脱気方法を提供しょうとするもの でめ c 冃景技 ί
ボイラーや純水製造設備の如きにおいての処理水や配管铪水、 作 動油あるいはコーティ ング液などの脱気をなすために多孔組織化さ れた樹脂膜を用いることは従来から公知である。
例えば多孔質化した酢酸セルローズ、 ポリアミ ド系樹脂、 ポリテ トラフルォロェチレン樹脂などの膜材を多孔質のシ一ト状膜支持体 に支持させたものをスパイラル状として用い、 あるいはチューブに 巻回し、 若しくは平板型 (耐圧板型) などとして採用される。
このような従来の脱気膜において液体中に混入した気体を除去し 得ることは当然である力 このものを液温が 3 O 'c以上の高温条件 下、 あるいは液体の蒸気圧を超えるような高真空条件下で使用した 場合には目的の気体と共に大量の蒸気が透過して排出されることに なる。 従って脱気のための真空ポンプにおける排気量は著しく大と ならざるを得ず、 又 3 0で以下に冷却するようなことが必要となり、 更には脱気処理によって得られる処理済み液休量もそれなりに低減 せざるを得ないなど、 設備的および運転操業上不利なものとならざ
るを得ない c 発明の開示
本発明は、 フィブリル化された多孔貿樹脂フィルムに対しガス透 過性充実層を層着形成した脱気膜であって、 例えば延伸処理により フィブリル化され、 最大孔柽 5 // m以内で、 気孔率 2 5〜 9 5 %と されたポリテ トラフルォ口エチレンフィルムに対し、 シリ コ一ンま たはフロロシリコーンによる厚さが 1〜 1 5 0 mのガス透過性充 実層をコーティングまたはラミネートにより層着形成するも であ る c
また本発明による脱気は、 ガス透過性を有する膜を用いた脱気モ ジュールの液入口側に空気弁を設け、 前記脱気モジュールに送入さ れる液体中の気泡を該空気弁で除去してから該脱気モジュ一ルにお ける脱気を行う。 図面の簡単な説明
図面は本発明の技術的内容を示すものであって、 本発明方法を実 施する装置の 1例を示した概略図である。
この図面において、 1はポンプ、 2は送入パイプ、 3は測定手段、 4は搬出パイプ、 5は空気弁、 6は加熱手段、 1 0は脱気用の膜モ ジュールを夫 示すものである。 発明を実施するための最良の形態
多孔質樹脂フィルムにガス透過性充実層が層着一体化され、 脱気 モジユールに任意の態様で施用されるに適した形態および強度性、
耐圧性などを得しめる。
前記ガス透過性充実層はガスを透過し、 しかも蒸気透過に対して 大き.な抵抗作用を示すので、 透湿量を著しく減少せしめることがて きる。
従って 3 0て以上の高温条件下や蒸気圧を超える高真空下におい ても好ましい脱気作用が得られる。
又、 上記したような液体から脱気するために膜材を用いることが 考えられるカ^ この膜を利用した脱気方法において必要な膜面積 混入されたガス量 (気泡および溶存ガスの合計量) と、 膜の単位時 間当りガス透過量によって決定される。 この場合において . 一般 に気泡状ガス量は溶存ガス量に比例し非常に多く、 連続脱気に必要 な膜面積の大部分はこの気泡ガス除まのために必要な面積となる。 即ち混入気泡の多くなる粘性液のような場合には非常に大きな膜面 積が必要となり、 必然的にそうした膜を組込んだモジュールあるい は液送ポンプ、 真空ポンプその他の設備全般も大型化し、 設備費、 運転費も高額となる不利を有する。
.このような不利を回避; るため、 本発明においては脱気モジユ ー ルの液入口側に空気弁を設けることにより、 前記脱気モジュールに 送入される液体中の気泡を該空気弁で予め除去してから該脱気モジ ユールにおける脱気を行ので、 必要な前記膜面積を縮小せしめるこ とができる。 f実施例 J
本発明によるものの具体的な実施例について説明すると、 以下の 如くである。
(実施例 1 )
本発明においては基材として延伸処理によりフィブリル化した 孔質樹脂フィルムを用いる。 例えばポリテトラフルォロェチレン膜 を延伸加工することによって気孔率が 5 0 %以上、 特に 7 C)〜 9 5 %の如き多孔状となし、 その組織は多数の微小結節部の間に無数 O 微細織維がくもの巣状に形成されて相互に連結されたものとして得 ることができ、 その最大孔径は 0. 1〜 2 ju m程度であって、 このよ うな組織の微細性および材質的な ίϋ水性は相俟つて水その他の液体 透過を驵止ししかも気体を有効に透過せしめる。 ポリテ卜ラフルォ ロェチレンの外にボリサルホン、 ポリエチレン、 ボリプロピレンな ども同様に多孔質化して採用し得る。
又本発明では上記したような基材に対しガス透過性の充実層を層 着形成するもので、 このようなガス透過性充実層としてはシリコ一 ン、 フロロシリコーン、 天然ゴム、 ボリブタジエン、 ェチルセル口 ーズ、 酢酸ビニル共重合体その他の蒸気透過に対し大きい抵抗を示 し、 しかも気体の透過を許容する材質のものを採用し、 このような 材質による充実層は前記基材に対し、 コーティ ング、 ラミ,ネートし て層着される。 場合によっては通気性接着剤を用いた接着方式でも よく、 又層着は一般的に基材の片面に行うことでよいが場合によつ ては両面に層着してもよい。
前記した基材の厚さについては任意のものを採用し得るが、 一般 的には 1 0〜: I 0 0 0 、 特に 3 0〜: L 5 0 / m程度が好ましい c 充実層については水蒸気遮断性を有効に得しめるためには一般的に 5 以上、 好ましくは 1 0 / m以上の膜厚を必要とし、 一方気体 透過を確保するには一般的に 1 0 0 m以下、 好ましくは 3 0 μ τη
以下とすべきである e
具体的な製造例としてポリテ トラフルォ口エチレンの延伸処理に より気孔率 7 8 %、 最大孔径 0. 4 とされた厚さ 1 4 0 ' mのフ ィブリル化による多孔貿フィルムにボリジメチルシロキサン樹脂を 厚さ 3 0 i/ mにコーティ ングした充実層の脱気膜を得、 こ Ο脱気膜 で膜面積 2. 4 πίのスパイラルモジュ一ルを作成し、 液温 2 5ての水 に対し 2 0 torrの条件で 1 Ani nの速度による通水をなし、 脱気処 理したところ、 脱 02ガス量は平均約 8 ppm の 0 2 を脱ガスすること ができ、 水蒸気の発生量は 9. 7 g Zhrと非常に低いものであった: これに対し従来法による比較例として、 厚さ 1 4 0 inの前記ポ リテ トラフルォロエチレン多孔質化フィルムによる脱気膜を用いた スパイラルモジュールで上記したところと同じ条件による脱気処理 を行った結果は脱 0 2 ガス量は同じく約 8 ppm であったが蒸気が 3 2 1 g /hr発生していた。
即ち本発明によるものは、 上記のような 2 5 の条件下における 処理で、 蒸気発生量を 3 0分の 1以下に縮'减することが確認された。 なお本発明者等は上記したシリコ一ンゃフロロシリコーン以外に 天然ゴム、 ボリブタジエン、 ェチルセルローズ、 酢酸ビュル共重合 体その他のガス透過性充実層についても検討したが、 該充実層を層 着したものは蒸気発生量を少く とも 1 0分の 1以下、 場合によって は 1 0 0分の 1を超えて大幅に低滅し、 効率的な脱気をなし得るこ とが知られた。
(実施例 2 )
前記した実施例 1で得られた脱気膜を用いて脱気する設備の概要 は添忖図面に示す如くであって、 脱気膜を用いた膜モジュール 1 0
に対し気泡を含有した液体がバイプ 2のポンプ 1によって圧送さ -. 膜モジュール 1 0からの脱気液体は測定手段 3を有する t¾出バィブ 4で搬送されるように成っているものにおいて、 前記、 .パイプ 2 に おけるボンブ 1と膜モジュール 1 0との間に空気弁 5を設け被処理 液体中の気泡を除去し得るように成っている。 なお必要に応じボン プ 1と空気弁 5との間に加熱手段 6を設け、 加熱後に空気弁 5によ る脱気を行わしめるようにすることができる。
上記したような設備により具体的にエチレングリコールを脱気処 理した結果について説明すると、 体積比で 3 %の気泡 (直径が 0. 1 〜5 mm) を含有した 5,Cのエチレングリコールを 1 £ /m i n の速度 でモジュール 1 0内に送入し、 溶存酸素濃度を 3 ppm 以下とする場 合において空気弁 5を使用することのない従来一般法の場合にモジ ユール 1 0において必要な 1 0 0 <u mのシリコーン膜は 1 2 m'であ つ が、 本発明に従い空気弁 5として株式会社ベン製造販売に係る 空気弁 A F— 8を用いた場合においてはシリコーン膜の必要面積 3. 5 rfであって、 膜面積を 3分の 1以下に縮減し、 従って設備費、 操業費も大幅に低減し得-ることが確認された。 なおこの場合におい て液温を 4 0でに加熱する設備を設けた場合において溶存酸素濃度 を 3 ppm 以下とするためのシリコーン膜面積は 2. 5 nfで充分であつ て、 更に設備、 操業の低コスト化をもたらし得るものて'あった。 産業上の利用可能性
以上説明したような本発明によるときは各種脱気機構に対し適切 に施用することができ、 しかも蒸気の透過を大幅に縮減せしめ、 脱 気のための真空ポンブなどの排気量を小として脱気機構全般を設備
的、 操業的にコンパク ト且つ低コス ト化することが可能となって効 率的な脱気処理を実施し得るなどの効果を有してい.る 0て、 ボイ ラ 一や純水製造設備などにおける処理水や配管給水、 作動油あるいは コーティ ング液中より、 目的とする気体を脱気できる。
Claims
1. フィブリル化された多孔質樹脂フィルムに対しカス透過性充実 層を層着形成したことを特徴とする脱気膜。
2. 延伸処理によりフイブリル化され、 最大孔柽 5 μ m以内で、 気 孔率 2 5〜 9 5 %とされたポリテトラフルォロエチレンフィルム に対し、 シリコーンまたはフロロシリ コーンによる厚さが 1 〜
1 5 0 i mのガス透過性充実層をコーティ ングまたはラ ミネ— ト により層着形成した請求項 1に記載の脱気膜。
3. ガス透過性を有する膜を用いた脱気モジュールの液入口側に空 気弁を設け、 前記脱気モジュールに送入される液体中の気泡を該 空気弁で除去してから該脱気モジュールにおける脱気を行うこと を特徴とする脱気方法。
