Abstract

By implanting a synthetic thread (1) shaped as a hairpin a double hair is obtained having a loop (2) which acts as a hair root. The loop and the implanted hair are secured by the subsequent growth of fibrous connective tissue around the loop. This process prevents in particular post-implantation and post-operational infections.

Description

Verfahren zur perkutanen Implantation künstlicher Haare Procedure for the percutaneous implantation of artificial hair
The present invention relates to a method for the percutaneous implantation of artificial hair using an implantation needle.
In a known method of this type, which has been practiced for several years, a plastic thread forming the artificial hair is given a hair root part in the form of an eye by rolling over the end of the thread. If the overlapping thread parts were previously tied or knotted, today a fusion connection or fusion adhesion takes place using high frequency. The opinion here is that such implanted hair can be removed relatively easily (for example due to a post-implantative infection) without losing any of the anchoring qualities.
However, this opinion is refuted by histopathological examinations. To remove the hair, the sweat or glue point of the overlapping thread parts can be broken and then the thread can generally be completely pulled out of the skin, but with a tensile force of 110-120 gr, which practically inevitably damages the skin makes. In addition, the main cause is post-implantation resp. post-operative infections, namely the sharp antigen inner end of the thread, not eliminated; on the contrary, the fusion leads to deformations on the thread or. Hair, which further increases the possibility of skin injury and thus the risk of infection.
The object of the invention is now to improve the percutaneous implantation method of the aforementioned type so that complications such as post-implantative or. post-operative infections practically no longer occur or removal of the implanted hair is readily possible.
This is achieved according to the invention in that in each case a double hair is formed by laying a plastic thread in the form of a hairpin and the bay is implanted as a hair root part in order to be fixed by fibrous connecting tissue by subsequent regrowth of the bay and each hair part of the implant.
As a result of these measures according to the invention, an uncomplicated implantation of artificial hair can be expected from the known state of the art, as long-term trials and clinical studies can demonstrate. Since the main causes of post-implantative resp. post-operative infections, namely interface at the inner end of the thread and sharp-edged deformation at the welding point of the overlapping parts of the thread relocated to the outside or infections are completely avoided, infections hardly occur. If removal of an implant still appears advisable, it can also be easily removed while avoiding the usual injuries by first pulling alternately on both ends of the hair, so that the thread is gently but continuously completely detached from its changes and then released without any significant resistance one or the other side is pulled out. The latter is also possible if the implant is provided in the area of the planted bay with one or more knots forming abutments against tension.
Another very significant advantage is that by implanting a double hair with a needle stroke, which results in a significantly higher hair density with a comparatively same implantation density.
Various types of plastic threads are available as material for the implant, which have emerged from corresponding chemical and biological tests, such as polyester resin single threads of 0.06 to 0.1 mm in diameter, which are produced by melt spinning a linear polymer from polyethylene terephthalate become. These threads are characterized by extremely low toxicity, high heat resistance and a feeling close to natural hair.
The implantation needle to be used can be of a conventional type.
The method according to the invention can be used at any point on the body, for example for cosmetic corrections of the main or whiskers.
The method according to the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing, which shows an extract of an artificial hair implanted in the skin.
By laying a plastic thread 1 in the form of a hairpin, a double hair is formed, the bay 2 of which, if necessary, see with one or more nodes 2 ', by means of a conventional implantation needle (not shown in detail) while penetrating the epidermis 3 and corium 5 into the deep part of the subcutaneous tissue 7.
Within a short time, the bay and subsequent inner hair sections of the implant are completely surrounded by fibrous connecting tissue 9 and the implant is thus fixed.
The illustration already shows that the causes of post-implantative resp. post-operative infections, as described above, are completely avoided and the implant can also be removed afterwards without complications.
