Abstract

Lorsqu'il est placé dans une rainure annulaire (43) ménagée dans un piston (30) et avec le piston installé coulissant dans l'alésage (27) d'un cylindre (28) le joint d'étanchéité annulaire (50) assure une étanchéité à la pression du fluide au niveau des rebords d'étanchéité écartables, une étanchéité secondaire à la pression du fluide au niveau des talons d'étanchéité arqués, une étanchéité à l'air au niveau des talons d'étanchéité arqués et fonctionne au niveau des talons d'étanchéité arqués de façon à empêcher l'entrée d'agents contaminants dans les interfaces d'étanchéité. Un tel joint d'étanchéité est spécialement efficace lorsqu'il est utilisé dans un cylindre à pression hydraulique du type à alimentation centrale, étant donné qu'il permet l'utilisation d'un seul joint d'étanchéité annulaire placé dans une seule rainure annulaire ménagée dans le piston.
