発明を実施するための最良の形態
ま ず、 本発明を第 1 図るい し第 3 図に示す 1 実施 例を参照して説明する。
第 2 図は先端部 i a がほぽ凸面状を し、 この先 端部 i a に隣接して円周方向に沿って形成された環状 獰 J b を有する可撓性チ ュ ー ブ体か ら る カ テ ー テル , 本体 を示してい る 。 こ の カ テ ー テル本体 J 内部には 第 1 図に示す如 く 先端部 J a の凸面に開口する第 1 の 内部通路 ί c 、 さ らに上記環状溝 1 の底部に開口-する 第 2 の内部通路 i d がそれぞれカ テ ー テ ル本体 J の長 手方向に沿って形成されて る 。
こ の カ テ ー テ ル本体 i の環状溝 i b 部分には溝底 部を被覆する よ う に して筒状バ ル ー ン 2 が装着されて いる。 こ の パ ル 一 ン 2 の固定は、 その外径が非拡張時 において 、 カ テ ー テ ル本体 2 の先端部 J a の最大外径
と 同等るい し ょ ]) 小さ く な る よ う に考慮して装着用 糸 3 に よ って される。 したがって溝 J b はバ ル ー ン 2 の取付け厚みを考慮して十分に深 く 形成される。
又、 カ テー テ ル本体 ί の先錕部 J[ a と接する側の 環状溝 1 b の壁面上端エ ツ ジ 2 e は平滑な.曲面を形成 する よ う にして成形される。
カ テーテル本体の材質と しては ポ リ オ レ フ ィ ン、 エ チ レ ン - 酷酸ビ -ル コ ボ リ マ ー 、 ボ リ エス テル、 ボ リ 塩化ビ - ル 、 ^ リ ウ レ タ ン 、 弗素系樹脂、 ナ イ 口 ン 等の熱可塑性樹脂が一殺に用 られる。
パ ル ー ン 2 の材質と してはシ リ コ ー ン コ, ム 、 ポ リ ウ レ タ ン、 ラ テ ッ ク ス等の弾性材料から適宜選択し得 る。
この パル— ン カ テーテルの使用方法について説明 する と、 第 4 図に示す如く 、 まず、 血管揷入器具
( 例えば留置針、 イ ン ト 。 ジュ 一.サ ) を血管 5 内 剌 通しておき 、 つ でパル一 ン カテーテル 6 ¾ この血管 揷人器具 4 内に挿入して、 血管 5 内に徐々に導人する。
この操作にお >て 、 パ ル 一 ン 2 はカ テー テル本体 ί の先端部 i a の外径と 同等以下と ¾ つているため、 血管揷人器具 4 の挿入口 4 a 等に配設されている逆止 弁 図示しな ) 等にひつかかる それが 。 さ ら に又、 血管揷入器具 4 の内径はカ テ ーテル径ょ 太く する必要がないの で血管への負担も輊渎される。 血管 内に到達した力 テ一 テル本体 i の先端部 J a はほぽ平 坦 凸面状 ( 又は円板状 ) をな しているか ら血管壁を 刺激する こ と ぐ血管 5 内の所定位置まで導人する こ
とができ る。
次に、 第 2 の内部通路 J d を介して炭酸ガス 、 そ の他の流体をパ ル 一 ン 2 内方に導入する こ と に よ j? 、 第 3 図に示す如く バ ル ー ン 2 を所定の大き さに拡張さ せカ テ ー テルを所定位置ま で導入する こ とがで き る。 この場合、 カ テ ー テル本体 2 のエ ッ ジ部 J c が平滑 曲面を しているか らバ ル ー ン 2 の拡張がこの部分で 阻害される こ と く 円滑におこ ¾われ、 対称性の良い 形状の膨らみが得られる。 バ ル ー ン 2 を再び収縮させ たいと き は第 2 の内部通路 2 d を介 してパ ル ー ン 2 内 部の流体を排出させればよい。 , .
次に このバ ル ー ン カ テ ー テルの製造例について第 5 図 ¾い し第 5 C 図を参照して説明する。
〔 製造例 〕
フ レ ン チサイ ズで 4 F r ¾ い し 8 F r の大き さ の 4 又は 5 個の内腔か ら る ポ リ 塩化ビ ニ ル製の力 テーテ ル本体基材 J ' を用意 し、 これに第 5 A図に示す如 く 、 圧力測定用腔 7 と バ ル ー ン拡張用腔 S にはそれ ら を内 部通路と して残留させるため、 それぞれ金属棒又は金 属パイ プ 3 および 2 0 を揷入 した。 その他の内腔には 加工時の歪みの発生を防止するため、 カ テ ー テ ル本体 1 と 同 じポ リ 塩化ビ ニ ル製の棒 2 2 , 1 2 を挿入 した。 こ の状態でガ ラ ス型又は金属型を用いて加熱成形加工 に よ ]5 カ テ ー テ ル本体 2 の先端部分を所定の長さ ( す
¾わち、 バ ル ー ン装着予定部とそれよ 先の先端加工 予定部を含む長さ ) に細径化させた ( 第 5 B 図参照)。 この加工は、 金属型を用いて超音波加工又は高周波加 ェによ っても 同様に行 ¾ う こ とがで き る。
次に第 5 C 図に示す如く パ ル ー ン装着予定部を被 覆する よ う に して、 長手方向に 2 分割可能なス テ ン レ ス製管状体 J 3 を こ の細径化部分 J 4 に嵌揷した。 つ いで、 この管状体 i 3 上端よ !) 露出 している先端加工 予定部 5 を第 2 図に示すカ テーテル先端部 a に対 応する形状のガ ラ ス型、 又は金属型を用 、 加熱成形 加工あるいは超音波加工あるいは高周波加工をおこ い、. 第 2 図の も のにほぼ対応する形状のも のを得た。 次に管状体 2 3 を分割除去しえのち、 カ テーテル本体 先鑼か ら金属棒又は金属ハ°ィ プ 3 および 2 0 を取 ]? 出 し、 圧力測定甩腔 ( 第 1 図に示す第 1 の内部通路 J c に粗当 ) よびパ ル一 ン拡張用腔 ( 第 1 図に示す第 2 の内部通路 i d に相当 ) を貫通させた。
次に、 カ テーテル.先端部 JE a のパルー ン装着部 ( 第 1 図の環状溝 2 b に相当する ) と接する周縁エ ツ ヅ i e ¾加熱成形、 高周波ある は超音波に よ る R加 ェ 溶剤 ( 例えばテ ト ラ ヒ ド口 フ ラ ン液) に よ る表面 処理を施し、 平滑 ¾ 曲面状に仕上げた ( 第 2 図参照 )。
¾に、 内腔が変形し ¾い よ う に圧力測定用腔 S よびパ ル ー ン拡張用腔 7 に略同径の金属製、 耐熱性プ
ラス チ ッ ク製あるいはセ ラ ミ ッ ク製のハ。ィ プ又は棒 1 7 , 1 S をそれぞれ揷入する ( 第 6 A図参照 ) 。 次 に ラ テ ツ ク ス ゴ ム製の両端関口のパ ル 一 ン チ ュ 一 プ 2 を、 第 6 B 図に示す如 く 、 その一端が先端部 J a を被 覆する よ う に して揷入する。 次に、 このバ ル ー ンチ ュ — ブ 2 の一端を第 6 C 図に示す如 く 環状溝 J b に糸 3 を巻き付けて固定する。 ¾ ぉ、 こ の糸 3 の代 ]) に接着 剤を用いて固定して も よい し、 糸 3 で巻付ける と と も に接着剤 -をその上か ら塗布 して固定する よ う に して も よい。 この巻付け用糸 3 の材質と しては通常、 ナイ 口 ン等のプ ラ ス チ ッ ク製の も のを用 得る。 接着剤と し てはシァ ノ ア ク リ レ ー ト 系の ものが好ま しい。
次に、 第 6 D 図に示す如 く 、 パ ル ー ンチ ュ ー ブ 2 の他端をカ テ ー テ ル本体 J に嵌揷すべく 、 め く 返す よ う に.してパ ル ー ン チ ュ ー つ、 2 をカ テ ー テ ル本体 _Z 方 向に導入させる。 ついで、 第 6 E 図に示す如 く 、 この バ ル ー ンチ ュ ー ブ 2 の他端も 同様に して瑋状溝 i b に 糸 3 又は接着剤を介 して固定し、 さ らに、 この固定部 と カ テ ー テ ル本体 2 と の間に生じた段部にボ ッ テ ング 剤 J 6 を塗布する。 この場合のボ ッ テ ング剤 J と し てはウ レ タ ン 、. エ ポ キ シ お よびシ リ コ ー ン系の も のが 好ま しい。 最後に、 上記ハ。ィ プ又は棒 J 7 , 1 S を取 出す。 これに よ ]? 圧力測定用腔 J c およ びバ ル ー ン 拡張用腔 2 d ¾変形させずに第 1 図に示す如き パ ル 一
ン カ テ ー テ ル力 得られる。 こ の パ ル 一 ン チ ュ ー ブ 2 の 固定は、 取着されたパ ル 一 ン チ ュ ー ブ 2 の外径が非拡 張時におい て 、 カ テ ー テ ル本体 1 の先端部 ί a の最大 外径 と 同等 い しょ |) 小さ く る よ う に考慮して される。 したがって溝 i b はパル 一 ンチュ ー ブ 2 の取 付け厚みを考慮して十分に深く 形成される。
なお、 上記実施例ではパ ル ー ンチ ュ ー ブ 2 の他端 取付け部と カテー テ ル本体 2 と の間に生じた段部にポ プ テ ング剤 i を埋め込み、 こ の取付け部の平坦化を 図る よ う に したが、 巻付け糸 3 に適当 張力を加えて 巻き付け、 ハ*ル ー ン チ ュ ー ブ 2 の他端部と糸 3 を カ テ 一テ ル本体 i 中に埋め込み、 接着 で固定して、 この 取付け部の平坦化を図 ]) 、 ポ ッ テ ング剤 i 6 を省略す る よ う に して も よ 。 この場合の糸 3 にかける張力の 一例と しては 2 0°のナイ ロ ン 6 の糸で 5 〜 5 0 程度が 適当である。 .
その結果、 装着されたパ ル 一 ン 2 の外径は力 テー テ ル先端部の最大外径と 同一又はそれ以下とする こ と ができ た。 また、 パ ル 一 ン拡張甩腔を介してバ ル ー ン 拡張させたと ころ、 その拡張形状は対称性の良好 も のであ った。
上記実施例ではパ ル 一 ンカテー テ ルの先端細径化 加工を、 第 1 お よび第 2 の内部通路が変形し ¾い よ う に、 これら内部通路とほぼ同径のハ。ィ プ又は棒体 ¾予
め導入 してお こない、 加工終了後に、 これらパイ プ又 は棒体を除去する例について説明 したが、 このハ。ィ プ 又は棒体の除去後における これ ら内部通路の自然収縮 又はパル ー ン取付け糸の圧力に よ る内部通路の変形、 収縮を防止するため、 ^下の方法でお こ う よ う に し て も よ 。
ま ず、 第 7 A 図に示す如 く 、 内腔を複数形成させ たパルー ン カテー テ ル用カ テー テ ル本体基材 の必要
¾ 内腔 7 , S に予め第 1 お よび第 2 の補強部材 J! 9 , 2 0 を嵌挿させてお く 。 この場合 内腔 7 , S はそれ ぞれ第 7 B 図に示す如 く 、 補強部材 2 9 , 2 0 の揷人 -部分 ( 7 a :) のみ、 他部よ ]? 補強部材 2 9 , 2 0 の厚 み分だけ大き く 成形してお く 。 お、 補強部材 9 は 先端加工部分 2 b' ( 第 7 C 図 ) よ 1) も 下に設置する。 ついで、 ガ ラ ス型又は金属型を用いた加熱成形加工に よ ]? 所定長さ分だけ細径化する ( 第 7 C 図参照 ) 。 ¾ お、 この細径化加工は超音波又は高周波を用いて も よ い。 ついで、 前記同様に長手方向に 2 分割可能るス テ ン レ ス鍋製管状体 ( 第 5 C 図参照 ) を この細径化部分 に嵌揷させた状態で、 先端 J a をガ ラ ス型又は金属型 を用いてキノ コ状る どの凸面状に先端加工する。 この 時、 補強部材 2 9 の最上端部はカ テ ー テルの最先端部 分と一致する こ と が好ま しい。 お、 この場合も 加熱 成形加工、 超音波加工 高周波加工等任意の方法を用
い得る。 さ らに、 ハ, ルー ン腔 i d を所定の場所に設置 する。
次に、 前記同様にシ リ コ ー ン ゴ ムチュ ー ブ又はラ テ ッ ク ス ゴ ム又はウ レ タ ン ゴ、 ムか らな るパル一 ン 2 の 5 —端を第 1 図に示す如く 先端部分に糸で固定したのち、 他端も 同様に糸で固定して、 第 1 図に示す如き カ テ 一 テ ル先端部の如ェ、 組立てが完了する。 本実施例に よ れば補強部村がカ テ ー テ ルの必要 内腔部分に嵌揷さ れているため パ ル ー ンカテー テ ル の先端加工時 ら
1 0 びに加工後、 さ らにバ ル ー ン取付等におい て、 内腔が 収縮あるいは変形するおそれが 。 したがってパ ル 一ン膨縮 ίδ答あるいは測定 EE力応答の悪化のおそれは 全く .く なる。
_ ^業上の利用可能性
i s ^上の よ う に、 本発明に係わるパ ル 一 ン カ テ 一 テ ルは血管内の所定の部位にカ テ ー テ ル先端 |βを留置さ せ、 任意の測定、 治療をおこな う のに有用である。
Claims
(1) 先端部に開口する少 く と も 1 つの内部通路を 有する可撓性チ ュ ー ブ体か ら ]9 、 この先端部に隣接 して該チ ュ ー ブ体の外面にチ ュ 一 ブ体円周方向に沿つ て、 かつ該チ ュ ー ブ体の軸方向に所定長にわた 形成 された環状溝と 、 該環状溝底部にて開口するバ ル ー ン 膨縮用内部通路と を有する カ テ ー テ ル本体と 、 上記環 状溝底部を被覆し、 非拡張時の外径が上記チ ュ ー ブ体 の先端部の最大外径と 同等又はそれよ 小さ く る よ う に して上記環状溝部に設け られたバ ル ー ン と を具備 してな る こ と を特徵とするパ ル 一 ン カ テ ー テ ル 。
(2) 上記チ ュ ー ブ体の先端部と 接する側の環状溝の 壁面上端ェ ッ ジ部分が滑 らかな 曲面を している請求 の範囲第 1 項記載のパ ル ー ン カ テー テ ル 。
(3) 上記先端部が滑らかな 曲面又は扁平状を して いる請求の範囲第 1 項記載のパ ル ー ンカ テー テ ル。
(4) 少 ¾ く と も バ ル ー ン取付け部に対応する位置の 各内部通路内に各内部通路の他部と 連通する よ う に し て筒状補強部材を固着して る こ と を特徵とする請求 の範囲第 1 項記載のパ ル ー ン カ テ ー テ ル 。
(5) 補強部材の内径が これに連通する 内部通路の内 径と 同一であ っ て実質的に平滑面で接続されている請 求の範囲第 4 項記載のパ ル 一 ン カ テ ー テ ル。
(6) 補強部材が抗血栓材質か らる る も のである請求
の範囲第 4 項記載のパ ル 一 ン カ テ ー テル。
(7) 補強部材が抗血栓処理を施したも の である請求 の範囲第 4項記載のパル 一 ン カ テ 一 テ ル。
(8) 補強部材が酎熱性硬質プ ラ スチッ クか らなる請 求の範西第 4 頊記載のパル ー ン カ テ ー テル。
(9) 補強部材が金属製の も のである請求の範囲第 4 項記載のパルー ンカテー テル。

¾ 熱可塑性材料か ら ¾ j? 、 所定の内部通路を形成 したパル ー ン カ テ ー テ ル用カ テ ー テ ル本体を、 該内部 通路を消失させ い状態のま ま、 その先端部分を細径 . 化し、 バルー ン装着予定部分と、 それよ D先端のカ テ 一テル先端加工予定部分を形成する工程と 、 この細径 化された部分の う ちパ ル 一 ン装着予定部分に この細径 化部分の外径とほぼ同一の内径の管状耐熱部材を嵌揷 し保護する工程と、 こ の管状尉熱部材ょ ]?突出 した細 径化された上記加工予定部分を所望のカ テ一:テ ル先端 ^状に成形する工程と 、 上記管状耐熱部材を除去した のち、 上記パ ル ー ン装着予定部分に膨縮自在のバ ル一 ンを装着する工程と を具備して る こと を特徵とする バ ル ー ン カ テ ー テ ル の製造方法。
先端部分の細径化工程が残留させるべき 内部通 路に予め耐熱性棒状体を揷人させ、 その状態で熱加工

^ 管状耐熱部材が長手方向に沿って分割可能に構 成されている請求.の範囲第 1 1 項記載のパ ル一 ン カ テ 一 テルの製造方法。
