The invention relates to a non-slip device esca¬ motable for heavy vehicles, comprising hoops deplaceable beyond the tire treads by means of hydraulic cylinders and retractable in their retractable position.
Devices are known to prevent skidding. French patent 2'257 '441 relates to an anti-slip device for heavy vehicles, in particular for agricultural tractors. This device comprises a wheel with a central part to which are fixed support members which can be brought into several positions relative to the central part and in particular in a rest position where they are then raised off the ground, in an intermediate position and in a working position where they are pivoted outwards as much as possible.
In French patent 2 '319' 502 is claimed a device intended to avoid slipping on slippery, icy or snowy roads. This device comprises a cylindrical housing fixed to the rim of the wheel and inside which a disc carries, on its circumference, articulated fingers which can come out of the housing, in a star shape, and act as nails to circulate on the slippery road or to facilitate starting in soft terrain.
French patent 2,369,105 relates to a device making it possible to remove spikes for snow, ice or soft ground, while driving and from inside the vehicle. The control of the device is isolated from the rota¬ tion of the wheel by a bearing and the output of the studs is done by a hydraulic cylinder controlled from inside the vehicle, the contact with the ground being ensured by reinforced hoops provided with 'a studded snow rubber band.
