Abstract

AN IMPROVED ROTARY SLITTER WHEREIN CIRCULAR INTERMESHED SLITTING DISCS ARE NOTCHED. THE SLITTER PERIODICALLY LEAVES AN UNCUT PORTION OF THE FEED MATERIAL, FORMING FILAMENTS WHICH ARE INTERCONNECTED.
