DESIGN FOR A HANDLE FOR COMBS.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, IIENRY BERRY, a citizen of the United States, residing in the township of Huntington, (Shelton) and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Ilandle for Combs, Brushes, and other Articles, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming part thereof, and which shows a plan view of a handle for combs, brushes, and other articles ornamented in accordance with my design.
The leading features of my design consist in the form or outline of the handle and the ornamental figures thereon, as shown in the drawing and more particularly referred to hereinafter.
The edges of the handle are composed, es sentially, of a series of convex enrves formed by the exterior outline of the ornamental scrolls A B (J I) E F G II, said scrolls being of ornate configuration, as shown, and inclosing the central field of the handle, on which are displayed the sprays I J of leaves and flowers, the conventionalized foliate scroll K, and the ornamental scroll L composed of radial arms.
