MOUTHPIECE FOR PIPES AND CIGAR AND CIGARETTE HOLDERS.

Be it known that I, ERNs'r LIGHTBLAU, manufacturer, a subject of the Emperor of Austria-Hungary, and a resident of Vienna, in the Empire of Austria Hungary, V./2 Morizgasse 2, have invented an Improvement in Mouthpieces for Pipes and Cigar and Cigarette Holders; and 1 do hereby de- Llare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, such as will enable others skilled in the art to which it appertains to make and use the same.
My invention relates to improvements in smokers mouthpieces; and the objects of that part of the mouthpiece which is held by the smokers teeth at its full thickness; and, second, to facilitate the touch of the tongue.
The followin is a description of my improvements as i lustrated in the accompanying drawing, in which Figure 1 is a longitudinal section of the mouthpiece, Fig. 2 is a transverse section, Fig. 3 is a side view of the mouthpiece, and Fig. 4 is a top view of it.
Similar numerals refer to similar parts throughout the several views.

As illustrated on the drawing (Fig. 2) the bifurcating bores 2 slope on the plane of the central-bore. The mouthpiece is provided with a symmetrical cap 4 which is furnished on one side With a recess 3 extending only over a portion of the broad side of the cap so as to guard the tongue, whereas the orifices of the bifurcated bores are on the other side of the cap, thus preventing the tongue from coming into contact with the smoke.
hat I claim as my invention and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is:
A smokers mouthpiece provided with a central bore, bifurcated bores extending from the central bore to the end of the mouthpiece, the point of bifurcations being located beyond the point at which the teeth of the smoker normally engage the mouthpiece, and the recess having top, side and end walls to receive the ti of the smokers tongue, and located at t 1e lower side of the mouthpiece between the bifurcations.
