To all whom it 'may concern:
Be it known that I, GEoneE A. JAEGER, a vcitizen of the United States, residingat Maywood, inthe county of Bergen and State of Newlersey, have invented new and useful Improvements in Albums, of which the following is a specification. l A
p This invention relates to an album having a flexible back with leaves attached at their ends said leaves having slits adapted to engage cards and the like.
The intermediate portions of the Aleaves are left free and said leaves allow the cards to be mounted on theI face thereof.
This invention -is set forth in the following specification and claim and illustrated in the annexed drawing, in which: Y

This album consists of a cover having a series of leaves provided with slits adapted to hold pictorialV postal cards. The leav are fastened to the back, a't the top and bottom so that the slitted portions of the leaves can be'readily raised from the back when it is requiredto insert a picture or card.
In this drawing the letter a designates the back of the album which is preferably made of flexible material like leather or buckram. This back a is provided with a series of leaves b having a number of slits cV adapted to engage the cards or their corners.
The back or covera can be folded as seen in Fig. 4 where each leaf is turned with its back on top of another leaf and the flap a of theback turned over the top to Specification of Letters Patent. l

This album is made of a sectional back or cover flexible throughout its entire length and free from any metal or rigid binding. l The cover is lapped and pasted or secured vto the edges of the leaves. The' leaves can have the cards mounted on the outer face ofthe leaf and not between the leaf and the cover.
' I claim:
1; Anfalbum comprising aone piece of continuous tlexible back having the longitudinal edges thereof overlapping, and a plurality of leaves arranged in parallelism with respect to and alongside of each other and having their ends secured between' the overlapping longitudinal edges of the back, each of said leaves provided at each side with s. plurality of pairs of slits, the slits at one side opposing and extending in an opposite direction with respect to the slits upon the other side, the pairs of slits upon each side alternately disposed with respect to each other.
2. An album comprisinga one piece of continuous ilexible back having the longitudinal'edges thereof overlapping,
and a plurality of leaves arranged in parallelism with respect to and alongside of each other and having their ends secured between the overlapping longitudinal edges of the back, each of said leaves provided at each side with a plurality of pairs `of slits, the slits at one side opposing and extending in an opposite direction with respect to the slits upon the other side, thepairs of.' slits upon euch side alternately disposed with respect to each other, and the slits 0f each pair of slits being of unequal length.
