To all whom it may concern.-

Be it known that I, THOMAS G. LovE- GROVE, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city and county of Philadelphia, State of Pennsylvania, have invented a new and useful Adjustable Mirror Support, of which the following is a specification.

M invention consists of a novel attachmen adapted to adjustably support a mirror or reflector.

Figure 1 represents a side elevation of an attachment embodying my invention, showing a portion broken away for clearness of illustration. Fig. 2 represents a side elevation showing a ditiereiiit manner of securing the device. Fig. 3 represents. in side elevation a sectional plan view of a portion of the device on line as :c, Fig. 2. Fig. 4 represents a vertical section on line y Fig. 2.

Similar numerals of reference indicate corresponding parts in the figures.

Referring to the drawings, 1 designates the base or support to which the device is to be secured and into which the threaded end .2 of the post 3, forming a fastener, is adapted to be screwed; said post having a shoulder 4, which engages the base 1 when the post is secured in position.

5 designates wings at th end of the post 3, which may be grasped during the operation of inserting or removing the same.

6 designates a boss on the post 3, the same having an opening therethrough which by proper rotation of said post may be placed in upright or horizontal position, it being provided with wings or thumb-pieces 5 for convenience of rotation of said post, it being adapted to receive a rod or arm 7, which latter is adjustably retained therein in longitudinally-sliding direction by means of the setscrew 8 ,whi ch is fitted to said boss and adapted to engage the side of said rod, which latter. telescopically enters said sleeve forming .to. gether the arm 9, the end of said sleeve 1t) carrying a lug or raised portion 11 in which a sot-screw 12 has-engagement, whereby the relation of the rod 7 with the arm Qmay be adjusted as desired. The arm 9 is bent at an angle so as to form the arm 13, which lat ter carries at its end a ring or eye 14, as seen in dotted lines in Figs. 1 and 2 and in section in Fig. 3. The set-screw 8 extends at a right le to the opening in the boss 6 and serves irmly bind the sup orting-arm t) in its adjusted position on said boss.

Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

A mirronsupporting arm, in combination with a 0st formed with a screw-stem, a boss, and a t mmb-piece, said boss being provided with an opening therethrough, and a binding-screw at a right. angle to said opening.
