TO ALL WHOM IT MAY ONCERN:
Beit knownthat I, GEORGE H. PEAGOCK, of Fairport, in the county of Monroe, in the Statevof New York,A have invented new and useful Improvements iu Bag-Fasteners; and I do hereby declare that'the following is a. full and exact description of the same, reference being had tothe accompanying drawings, and to the letters of' reference marked thereon, making a part of this speciiication, v
The nature of my invention consists in constructingbag-fasteners with the band A composed of metallic cord, the elasticity of. such band admitting of suiicient opening or separation. of its ends, so as to be readily placed around the neck ofthe bag; further, in providing said band with clasps, B B, these clasps being provided with hook C, and slot 5D, standing transversely to said hook, for the purpose of securing the fastening. Tile clasps B B are also provided with arms, E E, for facilitating the pressing of the fastener around the bag-neck still further, in providing the-outer ends of saidv arms, also the opposite parts or endsof the clasps, with ears or a-tteued projections, F F and Gr G, for the purpose of turning reversely the opposite parts of the clasp, thus enabling the opening and closing of said clasps.
