Specification forming part of Letttrs Patent No. 41,465, dated February 2, 1864.

` To all whom it may concern:

Be it'known that I, DAVID M. SMYQH, of the city and State of New York, have invented, made, and applied to use al certain new and useful Net for Ladies Hair; and l do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, reference being had to the annexed drawings, making part ot' this specification, wherein- Figure 1 is a view of a head-net'with my improvement, and Fig. 2 is a section showing the mode of fastening the intersections. Similar letters denote the saine parts. Ladies head-dresses have heretofore been made as a net containing tlie hair at the back, and such nets have been formed of chenille, velvet braid,and a variety of materials interwoven and sewed at the points of intersection,

l and have been provided with ornaments upon the net.

'Ihe nature of my said invention consists in a ladies head-net formed with metal clasps at the intersections of the stripsot' material, whereby the net ism-ade much stronger than when sewed, and a. highlyr ornamental appearance is given to snchnet.
