BREAST-STRAP SLIDE.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Letters Patent No. 356,163, dated January 18, 1887.

' To aZZ whom, it may concern:
Be it known that I, ADOLPH G. SOHLENER, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city of Minneapolis, county of Hennepin, State 5 of Minnesota, have invented a new and useful Improvement in Breast-Strap Slides; and I do hereby declare the following to be a full, clear, and exact description of the invention, which will enable others to make use of the same.
The object of my invention is to make a breast-strap slide out of malleable iron that can be applied to any breast-strap without detaching the strap, and adjusted to old straps after they have been mended, thereby protecting the I attain these objects by making a slide of malleable iron in the shape of the letter V, rounded at the bottom, so as to assume the position of the strap when in use, and providing an open slot 20 at each end, as shown and described, said slide lFig. 2 is a view of my invention with the opening or slot a at each end. Fig. 3 is a longitudinal section, Fig. 4 a cross-section, and Fig. 5 a view, of my improved slide applied in use.
My slide is applied by twisting the strap sidewise, so as to place it in the slot or opening at the ends of the slide withoutdetaching the strap from other parts of the harness.
